We came here for a gathering in honour of Australia Day, the Viewhouse sectioned off an area for us for a few hours on a Saturday afternoon, reserved signs in all of the tables in that section. Most of the staff were nice but didn’t exactly look keen to be there. The bar area was small and often there were 4 staff back there. There was a few occasions where I was the only one trying to get a drink and had to flag someone down. They’re just standing back there looking around into space, not even looking at the bar. They were quick with the prices though, as soon as they hand you the drinks the tell you the price without having to go to the till! I like that. After several hours and loads of money we got some food. The carnitas were great and my husband got the steak tacos, they were pretty good too. The sweet potato fries were really yummy, onion rings were tasty but a lot of breading. We ordered nachos to start but they came with the rest of the food. They were huge! But not as good as they looked, just so so. What absolutely wasn’t so so and was absolutely amazing were these cheesecake balls that someone ordered! They were deep fried balls of cheesy goodness with a few different dipping sauces, about a million calories but totally worth it.
