The food is Excellent! Some one posted that the Pollo Asado has no flavor. It is one of their best dishes. It is very juicy and flavorful. You can’t go wrong getting this dish. The downside, you don’t get much for what you are paying for. The prices has increased greatly recently. Service is also lacking as well. Went in the afternoon during lunch and only noticed two waitress working the entire restaurant. It took us 25 mins to order. The food is great but I would only stop here if you are willing to pay more and be willing to wait awhile.

My family has been going here for years, it’s our favorite place for Mexican food in Denver. No gringo food here but excellent green chili. Everything is delicious but the taquitos, chimichangas, and huevos a la Mexicana are some of our favorites. It gets busy but the servers are always friendly and prompt with the chips and drinks.

absolutely horrible customer service! i just went in the restaurant with my two young daughters and my 51 year old mother and one classless waitress by the name of rita peña made everyone so uncomfortable by yelling profanities and insulting me calling me a «bitch». she passed by my table i looked at the dumb stupid girl and she said«whats your problem» i spoke to management about the situation and instead of getting an apology i got asked to leave. dont come to this restaurant if you dont want to get treated like a dog! horrible horrible customer service and employees.

Liked it! Salsa was great & so was the green chili! Both were hot which I like. Service was excellent — I will be back if I’m ever in the neighborhood.

Deeply disappointed by awful service. Had to ask the bused to get someone to take our order. The bus girl came back and said she had asked twice and they do not listen to her, if he doesn’t come in 5 min go tell the manager. Waited for a total of 20 minutes no water, and no one came to the table. We had to leave.

I had the Sopa de Res it was bumb. The tostadas de ceviche, carne asada nachos look good too. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu. Their margaritas look delicious.

This place was«ok». I personally would never eat their again. I had fajitas and it cost almost $ 18… Their salsa was really hot… I don’t mind it a little hot but it was so hot I was coughing. The waiter barely spoke enough English to be able to decipher what I was ordering. The place also had a funny smell when you walk in. All in all, not horrible but not great!

They have the best authentic Mexican food in town. Their staff is absolutely wonderful. Very friendly people. I would highly recommend this restaurant. They also have a great patio and delicious margaritas.

Pretty terrible service, and the food is almost as bad. Woman not only refused to sell me a side of guacamole, but sneered at me and acted like it was a ridiculous request. Everything is overpriced for the quantity and quality of the food. Won’t be going back.

I ordered a #2 combination to go which is suppose to be a taco, tostada, and enchilada. When I got home I found that I was given a tortilla smothered in cheese and on the side some salsa! Also on a previous experience, I ordered a mojito. It looked nothing like a mojito, it was a weird green dyed drink: gross.

Not very good. Same as I get at most low end Mexican restaurants. Nothing special. Chicken enchiladas were bland. Steak taco was just steak and a slice of avo. No flavor. Service was ok.

I dislike this place, I have been here about 3 times and each time it has never gotten better. Last time I went was the last chance because if I ever go back it will only be for alcohol. I ordered a Mexican Hamburger with extra hot chile and I think black pepper was more spicy than the bland green chile… They also put a cpl green chiles on my plate and they tasted like they were straight out of a can. Los Arcos is the only RESTAURANT that never fails me.

Being Mexican, my opinion may be biased and my idea of good Mexican food may be different. I ordered pollo asado, no flavor to the chicken, rice and beans were no good. My girlfriend ordered chicken mole. It was really bad. Mole had absolutely no flavor. We couldn’t finish eating it. Service was not so good either. Servers seem to always be in a hurry and are dis interested. As obvious as it may seem I will not be coming here again. If you are picky when it comes to Mexican restaurants, avoid this one.

I was early for an appointment near south Federal… so I began a mission… To find an inexpensive breakfast burrito from a real Mexican restaurant. I saw the sign…$ 1.75 breakfast burritos. Pulled in and parked… Ordered 2 bacon… Was back in my car in 5 minutes. Eating within 10 minutes. They were good, not great, wow… wee, but good. I will definitely go back if in the area.

We wandered in to Torres one Sunday night for dinner. It’s been in this location for decades, it seems, and I thought it must be worth trying. Sadly, it wasn’t. The food was bland and extremely mild, the margaritas tasted very unbalanced, and the service was almost nonexistent. There was almost no one else in the restaurant and yet we were more or less ignored. And the entire place looks tired and run down. There are plenty of places to go for Mexican in this neighborhood, I’m sorry to say Torres really falls short.

Torres is an extraordinarily average restaurant. That’s not an insult, and it’s really not a criticism. The vast majority of restaurants are average by definition. Torres was a clean and open restaurant. The prices were fine, though perhaps a bit more expensive than other restaurants in the area. The food was fine, though not particularly memorable(although they do have really good salsa). I was disappointed in the service as our server seemed mostly disinterested, but otherwise dinner was pleasant. The ultimate judgment on a restaurant is, of course, the answer to the question, would I go back? Given the number and quality of Mexican restaurants up and down South Federal, Torres just does match up, and probably will not be a repeat for me.
