TJ’s Lounge is hidden behind a little strip mall that hugs the corner of Downing and Alameda. if that is not discreet enough, the entrance is located in the alleyway, behind the practically unmarked building. upon entering, the stairs lead down into a cavernous room where each cavity houses couches and tables and other comfortable seating arrangements. my visit to TJ’s was short; I was only there to size up the joint for any future jaunts. although the room was fairly empty for a Thursday evening I felt comfortable here. this is a good spot to hang, as long as you are content bringing your own fun. the bartender was sweet as pie and the drinks are nice and cheap. AND they have Jameson’s. I’ll be back.

Tj’s Wash Park Lounge is a great place to go on a Tuesday night for Karaōke. Not a lot of people go, so you will definitely get your chance to sing in front of your friends(most likely drunk). If you go on the right night you will get to hear Alex Akerberg sing Steppenwolf and you will want to get his number! Don’t miss out on this diamond in the rough karaōke bar in Wash Park!
