Had friends in town from San Francisco and Ft Collins and took them here for beers. The female bartender was extremely rude! She yelled at us to be quiet and slammed her hands down on the bar. When we decided to leave she threw a pint glass at us. Didn’t expect to get world class service here since it’s a dive bar but c’mon treat your customers with respect. Won’t be back.

Skylark is so perfect for exactly what it is: a South Broadway dive. If you want to avoid the cover, you can usually tell the bouncer you’re going upstairs (obviously only if you are!) to play pool or shuffleboard. On Sundays, they host Bars Against Humanity, and that was both so weird to play at a bar and so much fun. It’s a good place to camp out on a snowy afternoon.

Horrible service by the lady bartender upstairs. Came with a group of 12 friends to get some drinks and she was really rude and impatient. If you’re looking for a cool place to hang out and have a good time with friends, this isn’t the place. Broadway is full of trendy and cool bars and this one is definitely NOT one of them.

As a proud gay man, I will never visit the skylark again. The upstairs bartender (the eccentric women with bangles) treated me as a true second class citizen… Throwing glasses and slamming the titos on the counter in anger. I was in a group of 12 friends willing and thirsty for her drinks and we received nothing but anger and frustration. Never again.

The upstairs bartender went out of her way to be difficult to our group, she was so cute but little that we know she was a hater! Not coming back. No gays allowed and on South Broadway, it is really sad to see.

Skylark is a Denver staple. This place has been here forever! it’s always fun, but if you go on a night where they have a band, be prepared. It can be loud. They have a great beer and drink list, more than you would guess for a local divvy looking place. The staff is fun and super casual and the atmosphere is relaxed, so go in and just have a good time. This is not a high maintenance princess bar — so if that’s what you are looking for, walk on down the street to the first place you hear trendy dance music blaring. It leaves more room for the rest of us to enjoy the Skylark Lounge.

Decent beer selection and good rockabilly. Forest and the huge bald dude are friendly and good bartenders. Some of the other Bartenders need a training course in prompt and friendly customer service, and if there is splooge on the bar it’s a good idea to wipe it down with a wet towel.

I came here for my 21st birthday for a chill night and some drinks, that was nearly 2 years ago and I came in tonight and had the same bartender, so stoked to see him again! I stayed for a while, played some pool and our bartender was always ready to get us a new drink, and so much fun like I remembered, eager to talk and listen to us as well. The bar itself is really awesome, the music choice was perfect, its a great place to hang out, their beer selection is phenomenal. You can always grab a good beer anywhere, but if you want to meet a great bartender who obviously cares about the people in his bar, its Ronnie! Most real bartender on South Broadway if not the whole city. I will definitely be back to shoot some pool and grab a drink!

Holy Lysol Batman!!! You know it’s a good dive bar when you can smell the cleaning products when you walk through the door. It’s also amazing how one pair of glasses can turn your average bar tender into a hipster in 3 seconds.
Lots of room to move around, lots or friendly regulars and even an upstairs pool hall (we didn’t get up there, as it was occupied for a fund raiser for Chris Nevitt.)
The people watching in this place was at an all time premium on this particular evening. I found an outfit that I MUST somehow replicate.
All in all it’s a neat place, lots of history on the walls and the dive bar atmosphere to perfection. Stop by, have a drink or 6, watch some people and talk to a regular. or not so regular:) Was a fun place to meet a large group for happy hour.

An interesting neighborhood bar, two floors, a game room is upstairs. Pretty good selection of tap beers. Not sure if they have food. Interior is retro, with a 50’s 60’s? We sat on the patio because they had a band. My coworkers like to come drink here, I don’t hate it but it isn’t really all that exciting either. Live music many nights of the week.

Interesting place. Had a live band that played rockabilly type music. Lots of room for folks to dance. Large bar area with additional seating around the place. Just wasn’t my type of hangout but glad I checked it out!

I love the look and feel of this bar, but the past few times I have been in, I’ve been treated awful! 2 female bartenders, on seperate occasions, were SO rude to me right off the bat. YOU WORK FOR TIPS! Try being nice! Or helpful! Or attentive! Anything would be appreciated. It’s called customer service, ladies!

Went in here on a whim thinking it would be a cool hang out and it is a complete waft of stink when I went inside. The kind of stink known as Bar Rot. Gross. I couldn’t believe it, the smell was everywhere. I went upstairs and used the bathroom and bam as soon as you open the door you smell it. The interior looked cool but the bar was almost dead… I think the smell had something to do with it. I literally went inside, smelled the place, went to the bathroom and left. I couldn’t stand it for much longer. if they thoroughly cleaned the place I would consider going back but for now I’ll pass.

Great neighborhood bar. Kinda divey but in a good way. I booked my birthday party here (rented out the upstairs) to hang out and watch the Packers game (damn Seahawks). Pool, shuffleboard and darts included. Scott got me all set up and Jessie was our private bartender. HE WAS GREAT!!! Engaging and on top of his service game. I highly recommend him if you are have a function and he is available.
Live music on many nights so I will have to get back and check that out.

super impressed by the number of beers on tap. awesome atmosphere with the walls covered in 1950’s movie posters… AWESOME collection.
bartenders willingly let you sample anything they have on tap, maybe 25 different types of beer? maybe more.
i consumed their cider on tap, cannot recall the name, Strongbow maybe? absolutely delicious…

In my years of living in Baker and surrounding areas, this is a great local spot!
I personally love hanging upstairs and playing pool.
