I am upping my rating only because of the owner, Nick. Did not know you were related to Frank of my favorite pizza hole –in-the– wall in Englewood(south of Denver). Anyways, I am on my to the Broadway Assistance Center with your contribution, Nick. The working-poor moms and their children will LOVE what you have done for them. I will always promote your business because I do not hide behind a digital app and you do not hide behind your FaceBook page. Love you Nick and family. But, I can still bake a meaner cinnamon roll than you can :) Hee hee — tell your family that Terri says«good evening» See ya soon. — Terri(another satisfied customer and friend!!)

This was my first time here. The ambiance and the Duffey rolls(after requested that they be warmed up) were the saving graces. There was a nice redheaded man with a beard in the back, he seemed pretty nice and was fairly polite. Courtney was a different story… She seemed very annoyed at our presence. I asked for a croissant with ham and Swiss cheese, as I do not like eggs that are in all of the breakfast sandwiches. This cost $ 6. The croissant arrived like a breakfast sandwich with eggs, which is an easy mistake since eggs are automatically on their«build your own breakfast sandwich» option on the menu. But I waited 4 minutes at the counter for the issue to be corrected. Courtney said«it’s fine» when I told her it was my first time in… Before I ordered, as a hint that I needed some guidance in ordering and that’s why I was taking a while. My boyfriend asked for our duffeyrolls to be heated up and didn’t get any response she just took them and did it, then gave them back. Maybe we caught her on a bad day. On a better note, the note that will have me exploring other Duffeyroll locations, is the flaky and buttery delicious sweet rolls that I tried. We ordered a half dozen of the large — one of each kind. My favorites were the zesty orange and English toffee, while my man is an Irish cream kind of guy! Maybe try this place on a day you’re looking to keep to yourself and not receive a smile or any eye contact.

I have an update, too. Nick, the owner, contacted me, apologized, and offered to bring by some rolls. I appreciate his efforts to make up for the fiasco around Christmas.

I’ve reviewed the store down south but not this one. Truly, the pecan rolls are awesome. They are all I get, sometimes many when it’s time for me to supply treats for morning men’s group. LOTS of pecans and a texture with some fight to it. I’ve had the breakfast sandwiches and, with a splash of dijon mustard, the sausage and egg one is pretty good, albeit expensive. I gave five stars because of the food… the service is… uninspired. That holds true for my last visit, as well. The rolls were scrumptious and, since I emptied the pan, the gal scraped all the pecans which had fallen off the rolls into my box, which was nice. Still, I don’t think the owner, who is a nice guy, knows what a turnoff mediocre service can be. With such good food(and better coffee), the stores could be little neighborhood spots where neighbors meet and linger. There’s no such ambiance at these cafes. When only a Duffyroll pecan roll will do, taking the light rail to Louisiana Pearl and walking a block is a good thing… it just could be a lot better experience…

Rolls were great but the staff was rude. Drove out of my way today to try this place as I received a coupon mailer for free rolls. Coupon expires 12−31−15 and didn’t list any black out dates. Tried to use the coupon and was told I couldn’t because this was one of the busiest times for them? What??? Just wrong…

I supposed if I had a sweet tooth I’d be more impressed. Nice little place just across I-25 from Wash Park area. I had a good breakfast sandwich– but nothing worth making a special trip or waiting exceptionally long for.

Update… the owner contacted me directly the same day to apologize for the previously bad experience. What a nice, unexpected surprise! He even offered to deliver free rolls to me. Thank-you Nick! Rolls are great! Customer service very poor. Rude to me and my three kids. Not the first time it’s happened. Will think twice before returning again. Not surprised that there was barely anyone else in there.

So I can’t personally speak for the rolls since I’m gluten free but I bought a 6-pack for the guys in the shop and they really enjoyed them. The one complaint I have there is the extra frosting costs a dollar. It’s powdered sugar for cryin out loud. But oh well. I ordered a tuna avocado melt on Udi’s gluten free bread. DELICIOUS!!! The bread was typical but I really enjoyed the tuna and cheddar with avocado. I might just forgo the bread next time. All in all, we will be back.

If you haven’t had a Duffeyroll, you haven’t lived. A non-negotiable stop when I head to Denver. Their breakfast sandwiches are pretty awesome too. I think the coffee could be better, but I have been spoiled by Seattle. I always leave Denver with some Duffeyrolls for my freezer back home, and recently overheard the owner saying they were launching mail-order service soon! I’m screwed, better go buy bigger pants now… :)

Finally stopped into this legendary place. I enjoyed a breakfast sandwich with Mini Duffeyroll included in the sandwich price. The mini roll was perfect– something like a cross between cinnamon roll and croissant. Like a iced, spiraled cronut. Delicious. You get a free mini roll with lunch or with espresso drinks. Yum.

The cinnamon rolls are great! The coffee is weak! Week! Weak! Back to the rolls, it’s a different kind roll, more flaky like a croissant and not a heavy bread. Stop for the rolls. Seek coffee elsewhere.

Cold feet. You better not have em when you come in here because your mouth will be plenty cold from the(iced coffee). So cold mouth. Which basically means the same thing as cold feet. So next time someone says you have a cold mouth Timmy you will know what they mean? Ok I’ve gotten a bit off topic. The coffee here yummy(but cold). But the people are warm. They provide an unexpected surprise via cinnamon roll. I wanted to eat this. But I ended up placing it next to my bananas at home and just ended up eating all the bananas(raw).

Cinnamon rolls are bomb. Breakfast sandwiches were disappointing, and the coffee was mediocre at best. But the rolls are bomb. Like really bomb.

Why in the world is a simple breakfast sandwich $ 7? Also they mix the bacon into the eggs for some reason, which makes it soggy and unpalatable. Said it was grilled on a panini press and it was not, just a regular sandwich on panini bread. Not bad, just wouldn’t shell out for it again. Free mini roll that came with it was delicious, delicate and fresh. Would go back for these, so maybe just stick to what they’re known for.

Have loved this place since my first time, circa 1997. I met the owner for the first time the other day, so genuine — makes it even better.

I crave these cinnamon rolls. They are my favorite in town. They are the more flakey kind of rolls but sooooo good. Love the mini ones and different flavors like«Irish crème» and«orange». And the mint ice tea is also wonderful. There are a few locations and the one on Pearl is closest for me and always quick. They are on Happy Canyon too. Definitely a CO fav of mine. And you can buy them for shipping — cook them at home. I sent some to my folks and they also loved. TRYSOON if you have not. YUMMMMMM

Met someone here for coffee on a weekday morning. It was pretty empty, which made it easy to get my cup of coffee and an original Duffey roll. Both tasty. I had a fairly easy time finding a parking spot right out front. I’m curious if finding parking would be harder on the weekends or when they are busier. I definitely would meet someone here for coffee again. It absolutely beats the same old Starbucks crowds, pre-made food, and not that great coffee.

While I can’t say it’s a solid 4 — it’s definitely better than a 3, and is getting the«benefit of the doubt/round up to the next whole number.» That being said, I really liked that they had mini rolls! I liked being able to sample a few flavors without having to commit to one big roll. No complaints with any of the rolls — orange, traditional, and a sticky bun for the hubs — they were all pretty yummy! Bonus for getting them heated up. The only thing that left me underwhelmed was the espresso bar. We had a cappuccino and a mocha and they were really just«meh.» I think if the coffees had been better, it would have knocked this trip out of the park. You do get a free traditional mini roll with your espresso drink, so I guess I can’t be too bummed about it. I’ll probably go back for some mini rolls to-go whenever we have family in town.

An institution in Denver! When this moved to the Platt Park neighborhood, we were so excited! Duffy roll makes a large size version of their rolls… and a small size. Many days I will pick up a box of minis in assorted flavors to take into work, especially if I have been bad. They are all spectacular, and the one with green icing is Irish cream flavor, considered by my family to be the favorite. If you have time to sit down, try a breakfast sandwich. They will exceed your expectations. Finally you can’t go wrong with the coffee. I add the flavored cream to my coffee and there’s some cinnamon action going on that is just divine! enjoy!
