Washington Park Grille

I come here a lot and it’s always enjoyable. Live bands, great food and fast service! Sometimes it gets a little loud, but it’s fun and kid friendly. I recommend this place breakfast lunch and dinner!

We took an out of town guest with us for dinner. Everyone was helpful and pleasant. All of our dinners were very filling and delicious! Would definitely recommend this place and will go back!

Great food, drinks and service! Atmosphere is more casual but I really enjoyed eating here! You won’t regret it.

My friend and I went to Wash Park Grille and it was AWESOME! The food was delicious, the service impeccable, and atmosphere charming. One of the best parts was Steven, our waiter. He is hilarious, knowledgable, and cute! I am literally going to plan my next vacation to Denver around being able to visit the Wash Park Grille. SOO GOOD! ps. Thanks Steven.

It’s a place for people who «lunch»… The food was forgettable. Go if you are over 55, a lawyer or don’t really care. Think Denver’s hottest restaurant in 1988.

I love this place because the food is consistently great, the staff is always courteous and fast, and the location is awesome. The restaurant is always clean (especially the bathrooms).
I came in with a Groupon for dinner. I had the Wasabi Green Pea Crusted Ahi Tuna and it was delicious! I ordered a bottle of wine, since it was half-​price on Wednesdays. Our server was Ben, who I must say was the perfect example of a great waiter. He was not overly pushy like a lot of staff can be, super polite, fast, and answered all our questions. I eat at many nice restaurants all over the world, and he was right up there with the best. I will be back most definitely and highly recommend to anyone. :)

I came in a week ago and got Steve as my serving I think Steve Smith. He was so knowledgeable of the menu and drinks. I absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a mellow night out!

The lobster club is life-​changing. Great service, nice atmosphere, good value for the price.

This review is based on an experience had during their Sunday brunch. I got to the restaurant before my friend so I sat at the bar. I waited a good 7 – 10 minutes before the bar tender even realized I was there. When she finally noticed me I ordered a coffee with cream and was served. Another couple had sat next to me at the bar and was also making comments about the (lack of) service they were receiving. I surveyed the brunch menu and although the buffet looked wonderful there was just no way I was paying $ 20 for breakfast so I decided on one of the kitchen meals for half the price. All and all, this breakfast was really nothing special. It was mediocre at best and to make matters worse the bar tender completely forgot my friends bottomless mimosa for about 20 minutes and did eventually apologize and kept his mimosas coming. To add to this experience when I went to close out my tab I came around the other side of the bar (as to get the bartenders attention) and this ridiculously old man asked to buy me a drink and told me I was gorgeous. Not flattering, just creepy. It also made me feel bad for the bar tender because I could hear the inappropriate things this drunk old man was saying to her and trust me, if that were me I would have walked out a long time ago.
If we’re talking about brunch, Denver has at least 1,000 other places that will hit your brunch spot perfectly, don’t waste your time here.

This is a nice neighborhood place with interesting lunch options. I had the Brussel sprouts and Italian meatball fritters for a meal and it was good and large enough for lunch.
My friends and I (table of 4) had the daily special, breakfast burrito, grilled portobello sandwich, and the grille angus burger (no bun). Everyone thought the food was good.
For dessert, we all shared the key lime pie which was shared by all and quite tart.
The downside is that we had to continue to ask for refills on waters, coffee, iced tea and sodas as our server was pretty busy and not as attentive as we would have liked. Also, we waited quite a long time to get our order in, the food to arrive, and even longer to get the bill to pay. In fact, we had to ask another employee for the bill and have them take our payment.
If they could improve their service either with more servers or with more attentive servers, this place could be pretty great. There is definitely room for improvement on the customer service side.

You should not bump a party for reservations that show up 45 minutes early! Uncool!!!

We came in on a busy night and surprisingly had the best service and our food was prompt. Steve our server was amazing and helped us find our new favorite dish, the chicken piccata. Will definitely return.

Not so happy with the food or service. The parmesan Truffle fries tasted like frozen seasoned fries. I didn’t taste truffle or parmesan. The rest of the food was bland and just not very tasty. I questioned the fries thinking I was given the wrong ones by mistake and was told they are all made the same way way no other explanation or apology. We were also over charged on an item and had to argue to get it fixed. We even had to show our server the menu. I won’t be back.

The food was amazing here, we got the lamb brucheta to share and it was mindblowing. Also got the lobster ravioli and it was very tasty. Yummy bloody mary. Prices are a little high but up to par with the quality. Great service.

We ate here a couple weeks ago to celebrate my wife’s purchase of a new car. I had the Italian Penne pasta, which was excellent. My wife had the lasagna, which she said was great as well! The service was prompt and friendly.
The only downside is it was quite loud as they had live music in the lounge. However, that’s not enough to prevent me from coming back for the Italian Penne pasta!

Good food, quick service. We appreciated that the hostess was able to find us a table as walk-​ins, even though it was a Friday night.
The restaurant was a little loud and it was even harder to hear through a layer of live music. Overall, we enjoyed our food though. Peach bruschetta was good. (We wished that there was an even number of pieces– three were hard to share/​cut.) Lobster ravioli and Italian penne were wonderful!

I’ve been going to the Wash Park Grille for years and have ALWAYS really enjoyed the food, happy hour specials, and atmosphere. All the way back to when they used to have pool tables in the lounge area, this restaurant is a Denver classic and offers a fantastic menu.
Do you like sweet potatoes? Try their sweet potato salad! AMAZING!
I stopped in the other day and had a very good turkey panino. My lunch guest had the reuben and it looked incredible.
Good beer selections, great wine menu, a classy setting in a unique Denver neighborhood, plenty of outdoor seating and amazing food. I’ll continue going back for years to come.

Washington Park Grille is a really fun restaurant in a really fun neighborhood. There are ample places to sit without losing the intimate feeling. Everything about the interior is great.
The brunch, while expensive, it pretty good. I have had a lot of «premium» brunch buffets and WPG’s is definitely one the best that I have had. The food selection is wide with all of the things you would expect a good lunch buffet to have. They also have a custom omelet order card that you give to your waiter to get a pretty damn good omelet.
Some other highlights are:
–Unlimited coffee drinks (both coffee and espresso)
–Chocolate Fountain (I tried chocolate covered waffles and bacon, yum!)
–Waffle Bar
–Bottomless Mimosa’s ($ 9 extra, but worth it)
Overall, I had a good experience. Definitely a good «special occasion» sort of place.

Took clients from Italy here. Two of us had salad and the third person from Italy had a pasta dish. Without the bread and butter we would probably would have left hungry. Don’t get me wrong it was all good but I have never been in love with this place. Yes I have been a number of times and most likely will return.
This time it was convenient. Service was very good. So there are pluses and that’s why I go back.
