Good meat and good bread. But, it did not taste like a real Philly cheese steak. They should import amorosos or sarcones bread. The bread they used here melted and fell apart. But not the worst. I like the meat juice but maybe with this bread the chef should use a slotted spoon. The meat was fine, the right texture but seasoned differently than it would be in Philly. Tasted marinated. Delicious but not quite authentic. Not bad though.

Just ordered delivery from here. My sandwich came slathered in fucking mayonnaise, which was not on the menu. When I called to complain, an employee named Daniel was super rude about it and did nothing to help. Get your menu together so that it actually describes the meal people and tell that piece of shit Daniel not to be such a dick to your customers. I’m never ordering taste of Philly again. Fuck this place.

They forgot part of our order and still charged us for everything, way to throw a wrench in our dinner… Kinda hard to eat as a family when not everyone has their food

Pretty good sandwich and pretty quick delivery. If I were to order again I would definitely either do without the olives or ask for light olives because that taste was the main flavor. There are better Philly’s around, but this is quick and convenient.

I’ve always liked the original Philly with provolone. You need to always add salt and pepper, because they don’t really season anything. I have had a couple bad sandwiches. So it’s a crap shoot on consistency. Looks like they have changed up the staff a few times and that’s probably why. Pretty fast delivery.

Always order from here. Mainly use Delivery service and they get here in time and most nights before there say! Love the club sandwich and the guacamole they offer instead of avocado. Great cheesesteak! Add jalapeños! Bomb corned beef! Gay friendly, never had an issue with accident double charges(fat jacks) Overall awesome food.

Terrible service and after eating the cheesesteak I was pretty guaranteed diarrhea the remainder of the day. Frankly, I can’t imagine the kitchen being particularly clean either. I’ve been to Philly and had cheesesteaks there, and this place is far from that.

I thought philly cheesesteaks were suppose to have cheese on them. I would of liked it better if they cheesed it up.

Best philly cheesesteaks I’ve ever had outside a street festival. Scratch that, best ever. I’ve been here in person a few times and ordered delivery more than I can count. I’ve lived all over the east coast and eaten cheesestakes pretty much everywhere. This place NAILSIT every time. The bread is key, and these rolls are perfect. The steak is chopped and cooked exactly right, as are the toppings. I don’t think it’s possible to beat A Taste of Philly anywhere else in town for doing what they do. The restaurant is clean, the food is quick, the people are great, delivery is speedy and the price is right. All around win! Edit: there is no point in rating these sandwiches against something that nobody local can or will ever likely get. Doing so is unrealistic and elitist. I’ve had cheesesteaks in Philadelphia; they aren’t exactly food of the gods and there is no perfect science to a sandwich. I’ll stand by this review and rating until I have a reason not to, and I hope Denver proper gets a chance to taste and rate while they can :)

Being from Jersey and Philly. I find it hard to believe, your establishment being the real deal. As the owner you should consistently taste and try to improve upon the signature Hoagie you profess to have perfected. Come on, this isn’t rocket science…

Not authentic Philly Cheesesteak, but OK. Very rude attendant over the phone. If you are all that’s, go work at Cholon, which also has overpriced fare.

Best way to describe taste of Philly: Average Pro: service is fast at lunch time, lots of other sandwich choices Cons: Bread is waaayyy too doughy. It seriously detracts from the sandwich. Sandwich had very little cheese(hardly noticed it) Also a little shocking they do not serve French fries. Chips on the side just don’t do for me. In a pinch it did the job satisfying my philly craving(barely)

Their Store In Highlands Ranch is great. The one here on Broadway, NOTSOMUCH. They offered to deliver to us, then when we ordered lunch for several of us in the office, they refused. Well, here’s for not keeping your word to your business customers, that have spent thousands in your establishment. We’ll be choosing the Cheesesteak Connection from here on out. They’re about as good, without the attitude from some kid that sounds high.

Would you like some filling with your bread sandwich? I think I met my weekly carb allotment in one meal at ToP. All I wanted was a meaty sandwich and I got a ton of bread and a tad bit of fixins. I really dig the location for its convenience. Also, the dining area is really big which is something you wouldn’t notice from the street. There are a ton of tables and high tops and even some space at the front window. The other thing that was a bit odd was the menu. It’s just a list of what sandwiches they offer but there is zero, zip description of each sandwich. You really have no idea what you are ordering until it comes out. Color me confused. When I’m craving a sandwich beyond the basic Subway variety this will be a good and easy place to stop in. But, I’ll make sure to ask for extra stuffing to compensate for the large amount of bread. Worth checking out but nothing to rave about.

These cheesesteaks are worthless. I would put more steak on my grandmas sandwich.

The Philly Cheesesteak is yet another food on a growing list that I could associate with killer comfort food. I mean, one giant cheesesteak, some sports, and a cool beverage, and I’ll be in my own world for eons. Just to get a small… taste of Philly, I went with a 6″ works cheesesteak($ 6). An Amoroso roll gets filled with a chopped beef and white American cheese merger, topped with more cooked peppers, onions, and mushrooms. I’m not from Philly, but this is a cheesesteak I’d love to have over and over again. The meat was tender and seasoned perfectly. The cheese just properly united everything. Amoroso rolls are soft when bitten into, but still has that outstanding firm exterior to hold everything in. Win. The woman taking my order at the Highlands Ranch spot had only been there a couple of weeks. She was very friendly. A pleasure to chat with her. My friend and I also briefly went to the newest Castle Rock location, which opened in late March. Already two names on their Wall of Fame. Speaking of which… Their Apollo Challenge is a massive 5-pound Philly cheesesteak. One person, in an hour, must take down 44 oz. of meat, 18 oz. of cheese, and 8 oz. of cooked diced onions, all somehow fitting in a 20″ Amoroso roll. They will keep you contained in a «control area,» and if you leave that space for any reason, you’re DQ’d. Only a handful of people have finished at the Highlands Ranch spot. One notable name, Andrew«A-Bomb» Lane, has completed this challenge FIVE times overall, including being the second person to do it at the Castle Rock branch. Yes, I would highly consider attempting the $ 31.50 cheesesteak challenge. Winners get the meal free, a T-shirt, and their pic on the wall. This place is a huge hit with me. And my friend doesn’t have to travel too far to get more. Cue a green, envious panda.

My first philly cheesesteak experience was this weekend. I’d say it’s amazing that it has taken me so long, but I would be lying. Mall stores selling cheesesteaks always frightened me with their pictures of less than appealing meat and gooey cheese. However, I was starving and they were my only option on this block. I asked for a recommendation and they suggested the pepper cheesesteak. The 8″ clocked in just shy of $ 6 with tax. It was flavorful thinly sliced meat decorated with light cheese and peppers. It reminded me of shaved gyro meat. The cheesesteak was a quick filling meal and not too messy. In the future, I won’t avoid this sandwich.

Stopped in for a quick to go yesterday and it hit the spot. Growing up on the east coast I love a good grinder and the bread makes it. I actually got a turkey cheese steak with American cheese and it was warm, gooey and oh so delicious. I only drink Boylan’s when I order here and grape was my flavor choice of the day. I am a fan of the ginger ale as well. A bag of chips and I was stuffed and even skipped dinner last night!

This place looks waaaaay nicer on the inside than the outside led me to believe. The space is open and bright with lots of beautiful brick and a garage door that opens to let nice weather in. After a recent outing to the Central Library(down on 14th and Broadway) Nick and I stopped by Taste of Philly to grab some lunch. I chose a plain Philly with just meat and cheese and they let me pick which kind of cheese I wanted –American, Provolone, Swiss, or Cheese Whiz. And while I’m no Philadelphia based expert I have to say I really liked what I had and would definitely go back again. And maybe even again. The service was pretty quick — we were in and out in around 10 minutes. And at the counter they even sell Tastykakes, 3 varieties. I haven’t had one since I was a kid and even though they are bad for you they are just so dang good. Also, if you don’t particularly fancy cheesesteaks they also have a nice selection of hoagies, grinders, sandwiches, wraps, and salads. And they have Boylan’s drinks, FTW.
