I had Squeaks Services out earlier this year to repair an A/C unit that had mysteriously stopped working. They misdiagnosed the problem several times, and each time we called them to come back and do the repair properly, they wouldn’t call back for weeks. I would call them over and over, and the poor receptionist kept assuring me that a technician would call me back and apologize for the delay. The whole ordeal spanned months, and they tried on several occasions to charge me for unnecessary repairs. In the end, they fixed the problem, but their incompetence and painfully slow service was unacceptable. Now, a few months later, my furnace is not working, and I suspect it has something to do with the wiring they did earlier this year. I called them to come look at it, and the receptionist assured me a technician would call me back to make an appointment that day. Well, surprise surprise, no one ever called me back. And I gave them my home and cell number, so there’s no excuse. It’s been a week now, and they have not attempted to contact me. Their complete lack of customer service, skill, and competence makes me say, don’t use Squeaks Services. Just save yourself the headache and use literally anyone else.

Very poor quality of service and that took them a long time to correct. I would not use them again.

The price this company quoted me over the phone, and agreed to by a second person during a second telephone call was«wrong» according to their billing person. The price the service technician quoted me in person for a procedure was also«wrong» when it came time to pay up. Their policy for rolling the cost of the visit into the work performed changed depending on who you spoke to at the company. The«correct» prices of course were 50−150% higher than I was told when I agreed to have the work done. And classically, the service technician wouldn’t do what I asked until he first slowly performed many other time-killing inspections which could then of course be billed. Took this company twice the time that another company did for the same service. I can’t believe this place is even licensed.

We had this company come to turn on our swamp cooler for the summer. When the tech arrived he asked me where the water turn on was and when I told him it was in the basement he immediately started going off about how we weren’t «up to code» without looking around our house to figure out that our waterline runs on the outside of the house and we are in fact up to code. The tech then started working, but I just got the sense that he didn’t completely understand what he was doing, but decided to trust him. Everything seemed to go smoothly until I went upstairs to turn on the swamp cooler and quickly realized he had forgotten to take out the plastic plates that were used to winterize our swamp cooler. Air couldn’t move out of the vent because of this. I called and was told that someone would come remove the plates the next day. An hour before the appointment I got a call saying they would have to cancel and come out tomorrow. I feel they should make this a priority considering they made a mistake. Wouldn’t reccomend this company.

It’s been a long time since I experienced service this poor. I hired these guys to come turn on my swamp cooler and fix a known issue with the water line. Knowing the water line was compromised, and knowing it ran through the inside of my house, these guys missed countless opportunities to make suggestions and/or avoid what ultimately happened. When they turned on the water line, water came pouring through the ceiling of my home office. They immediately accused me of a «set up»(!!!), and completely mis-diagnosed the problem, insisting there were«roof issues». In the end my handyman very easily figured out there was another problem with the water line over my office. Because the water line wasn’t in their plain view, they contend they couldn’t possibly have checked it(all they would have had to do is go into the attic). The truth is they lacked the knowledge, experience, and professionalism to deal with a very basic swamp cooler problem. When I emailed the owner to make him aware of what had happened, he responded quite belligerently, refusing to own up to any mistakes that were made — not even apologizing for his employees outrageous accusation that I had«set them up». Even went as far as to chastise me for getting«unpleasant» with his employees while water poured into my home office, as they had just accused me of a set up, all the while completely wrong about what the root cause of the problem was. If there’s any chance your job would require more than just the press of a button, please hire someone else for your job. Larry, the owner, needs to take responsibility for his staff and provide some basic training to them on the basics of HVAC systems and best practices. And he himself needs to take a course on basic customer service…
