Recommendation is to get the spicy basil chicken but not the pad Thai. Had better pad Thai at noodles and company. Service was good and quick though.

I order through a 24 Unilocal app and didn’t realize my order was put in just a few minutes before they closed. I called to cancel but they said it was ok. Food came in timely manner and was delicious. Thanks guys! And sorry I entered a order that late for delivery. It was the first time I’ve gotten food from you guys and will continue to do so!

The shrimp fried rice was gross it was incredibly sweet. I ended up throwing it all away. The spicy basil in Englewood I order from all the time and love. This location on Broadway I will never order from again.

I finally made it to Spicy Basil. I ordered the Sesame Chicken at lunch and was very pleased. The portions were large and very flavorful. I will definitely be coming back.

So good! I have eaten in the restaurant and had delivery. The Sesame Chicken is great, the crunchy eggrolls are amazing, the pot stickers are great, the crab cheese wantans are super, and the curries are lovely! I could eat their appetizers all day, plus their chocolate cake is great. You will NOT be dissapointed!

We ordered take out for 4 of us the food was pretty quick coming out of the kitchen and the size of each order was huge none of us could finish our entrée. The veggie tempura was pretty good but seemed to be missing the right sauce hard to say with takeout. I had I think the royal chicken which is chopped chicken with shrimp that is served with lettuce to scoop it into. The chicken was pretty good and tasty. The only slight dissapointment was the spinach and cheese wontons I wa looking forward to having spinach in them and there was just a tiny amount of spinach in them. The other nit was the packets of hot mustard was not really hot. We plan on going back again to try other stuff. Parking in the rear is nice.

The food was great apart from the fact that the spring rolls were supposed to come with some sweet and sour dip but instead it was some cheap sachet of sauce which didn’t taste much like sweet and sour. Also after putting my tip on the app the delivery guy still requested that I give a tip, which I think is bad customer service for the fact that I decide whether a tip was deserved and I had already put a tip when I initially paid for it. Overall the food was good but the customer service could be worked on.

Great food, easy location. I am a big fan of the pad thai and the summer rolls and both are affordable and a good value. I live very close to south broadway and have tried nearly all the asian places on the strip. This is as good as any.

We went because this restaurant had such high reviews but after eating here it is very apparent that those who have come here do not really know true asian food. A first sign that should have been a warning is that the menu had Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese options. The second clue should have been the fact that the restaurant had forks instead of chopsticks at the tables. The service was ok but I ordered a Thai Tea that we almost thought they forgot and the waiter admitted she did forget which is why it was late. I ordered a stirfry dish that was on the level of peiwei quality. We also ordered traditional pad tahi and it was the worse one ever that I have ever eaten. First, I have never ever had pad thai where they use ketchup in the sauce… it was a big bowl of noodles with ketchup … gross. I usually take home leftovers and I couldn’t bear to eat the pad thai and threw it out because it tasted so bad. There were huge chunks of green onions too which were not palatable.

Had their Kung Pao Chicken delivered the other night. I asked for medium spicy. Unfortunately, it tasted mild — no spice. The flavor was a little bland as well. I’ve had much better Kung Pao Chicken at many other places but this wasn’t one of them. Also once, I did dine in and have sesame chicken there and it was pretty darn good. So next time, I’ll try something else and keep my fingers crossed!

I loved my green curry but my boyfriend got the pork lo mein and the meat was very dry, noodles overcooked. Delivery was quick but quality lacking.

After eating hundreds of Pad Thai’s all over the world(US, Thailand Europe and more), Spicy Basil provided me the worst one ever! I read a one star review that said it was very sweet with no deep flavors, but I follow my crave that led me to order the Pad Thai. It didn’t come with the tofu(though I ordered the tofu Pad Thai), the egg didn’t taste good, the vegetables were more cooked that sautéed. Maybe other things are better, but make yourself a favor — if you wanna have Pad Thai go somewhere else.

Spicy Basil came to my rescue when they delivered food to me while I was in the middle of session of getting tattooed in the great Certified Customs shop. Since I hadn’t eaten during that time, I was in need of food and ordered their classic Sesame Chicken and steamed white rice. I also got a side of grab cheese wontons, and egg rolls. This location was very fast, quick and easy to deliver food with no hassle. I loved the takeout and totally think it’s worth to stop by or get a simple delivery. Because they CAN do it!

If you are wandering S. Broadway and need a hit of some vaguely Asianesque food, this is your spot! Large servings of hot food in a colorful clean environment. Déjà vu, I recall saying this before somewhere… The best things about Spicy Basil are the billowing purple curtains outside on the patio, and the ENORMOUSSERVINGS! Servings are HUGE for lunch– it’s a platter for $ 7.50. Just remember, you get what you pay for! I had the Chicken Kushan — it had a little pepper by it indicating spicy, which it was NOT. My friend had the Chicken Basil and loved it. The portions were huge — about 2 cups of oily fried rice and an egg roll were included. Don’t bother with the Papaya salad as there is not much there. It’s mostly lettuce for 6.50. Huge quantities of slightly oil rice and messy salty stir fry is what you will get. In college, I would have come here every week! Now that I am old and decrepit and every bite counts, I prefer something a little lighter, a little fresher, seasoned more authentically. With Thai Monkey and Karma a half block a way, I can’t see myself coming here again unless I am down to my last $ 7.50.

I eat at Spicy Basil all the time. The food is inconsistent but I always go back. the inconsistency really comes from the meats — they can be fatty/chewy on certain days. My favorite meal here is the Drunken Noodles and the lo mein. They are usually pretty quick for delivery or pick up.

0 stars if it was an option. Since moving to my new place I’m on a constant search for the best Thai around, sometimes defaulting to delivery. I found this place on Eat24, and decided to give it a shot, albeit with some trepidation from the reviews I’d seen. Well, let me tell you, they were all right(at least the bad ones). Upon opening the food, it was pretty apparent this wasn’t getting eaten, which is an extremely rare circumstance in my world. The Sesame Chicken was(almost literally) swimming in oil, and every piece was clumped together in one, big, soggy, mush. I blamed it on bad luck, and went to try the Pad Thai. Even worse. It was the sweetest PT sauce I’ve ever had, with zero spice or depth of flavor; it was almost as if it was ketchup-based. I quickly decided that this was not edible product, nor would it be getting paid for. After speaking with the restaurant(who blamed it solely on a long delivery time), Eat24 gave me a full refund. I think once they saw the picture of a glossy pool of oil, there wasn’t much debate. Eat24– Thanks for being reasonable. Spicy Basil– You have some serious work to do.

I ate with my hands the Satay Lamb(3 pieces), small Chinese Hot and Sour Soup and Kung Pao Chicken(extra extra spicy) with brown rice. It was delivered to my door as I was house sitting in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of the Denver. It was quick, free delivery and came in less than 30 minutes The delivery person was very nice. The food was hot. It was delicious. The portions were large with enough leftover for another meal. The lamb was tender and outstanding. The prices were not too high. I ate with my hands yo. The biggest drawback was that there were no utensils or napkins in the bag, which made for an interesting experience in eating the food. The utensils would be a very important part of a meal, especially a meal consisting of soup. I drank it from the bowl like an animal. Oh how I dreamt of plasticware … even a spork would have been heavenly. One takes eating utensils for granted. It was wacky eating rice and slippery chicken with my hands. I tried to jury rig something to eat from and a smallish bit of cardboard taken from the delivery brown paper bag support bottom worked somewhat until it became soggy with peanut sauce etc. My hands burned with the spiciness. Don’t rub your eyes after eating extra spicy Kung Pao Chicken with your hands. I will have to give it another try one day as I have my eye on trying the lemongrass chicken. I can’t get over the fact that there were no utensils. It sort of soured me. I’m soured. The food was good but adding ‘hand flavoring’ to every bite soured me. Ask for utensils. You’ll be glad you did.

Spicy Basil has been a long time neighborhood favorite of mine. Their Pad Thai is delicious and so are their summer rolls. Food is always hot and ready in 10 minutes or less, and delivery is pretty quick also. Service in the restaurant is always great, and takeout/delivery is easy also.

I thought I couldn’t find good Thai in Denver. I’ll say it again, I thought I couldn’t find good Thai in Denver. Thai food is one of my absolute favorites, if not my favorite at times. In Las Vegas where I’m from, good Thai is a dime-a-dozen. I have tried several places here and have been continuously disappointed. A month ago some friend brought me here and I was so impressed. We sat outside on their cute little patio and were able to people watch and listen to motorcycle enthusiasts pretend to race down Broadway. The best kept secret about this place are their 2−4−1 wine and beer. Be sure to mention it to your server because they won’t tell you up front. I came back on a date this week and I was impressed again. I ordered the same thing both times except I added chicken this last time. I love their spicy eggplant with noodles instead of rice. My usual go-to is green curry but I haven’t even tried it yet because I’m stuck on this eggplant dish. I am excited to go back and try more on their menu. Their portion size is fantastic. The service is good but sometimes it’s hard to explain what you want because of the language barrier. But all in all, great find for Thai. I found my new spot in Denver. :)
