Go here. Do yourself a favor and go here. If you’re strolling down 16th mall and are feeling anything from a snack to a gourmet meal, stop inside Smashburger. It’s American food with Colorado flare. The Colorado burger was one of the best I had. With a side of buffalo fries, it’s the spot to be. And the service is great too. Just go there.

The Colorado Chicken sandwich here was out of this world! Tons of green chiles made it special and yummy! The buffalo fries were also very good, too. It was hard to find a seat at lunch as the dining room was very small and narrow but I managed. Locked restrooms made me nervous as I was on my way to an interview and needed to go, but I was able to get the code quickly and easily. There were steep stairs just as I walked in the door, which were surprising. And the cashier chose to sing to everyone instead of talk, which was also surprising. Still, they do a good job, the dining room just needs some work.

I’ve always had a good experience with This location. The service is friendly and efficient(most of the time), the restaurant itself is fairly clean even though I can’t speak for the restroom as I’ve never used them, and the food is pretty darn tasty. Sometimes the fries can be a bit greasy and soggy but I really don’t have any complaints except that it’s not a large facility so seating can be difficult during the weekday lunch rush.

Burger was good, not great. Literally tastes like I make them at home. The Chocolate malt was excellent and the service is remarkably good for this kind of place!

I really enjoyed the fresh jalapeños on the Spicy Baja Smash burger. Good for a burger joint!

I don’t like Smash Burger. First, they put seasoning on there fries witch makes them gross… yuck! They also get your order wrong. I would not go to Smash Burger. I took a fry and ate it it was gross! I’m not going to Smash Burger because their fries are not good.

I’m just making my way through reviewing burger places downtown. I’m honestly shocked that this place has as high of a rating as it does. It’s definitely better than the other two places I just reviewed(5280 Burger Bar and Red Robin Burger Works) it’s better than both of those places by a lot. Maybe I should give it 4 stars… it’s possibly that I didn’t give it 4 stars because I can feel my arteries clogging when I walk in the door. Their burger is always about the greasiest thing imaginable. Their fries are delicious, but they’re not on the level of Five Guys fries… plus they’re skinnier fries, which I always find annoying. Why? Why not just have normal size fries? I’ve eaten a lot of things at this location though, and everything has been pretty good. The only thing that’s never really been that great is the customer service. I’m big on customer service. and I hate people that look like they’d rather be getting a root canal than waiting on customers. Every time I go in here it’s like a high school kid that calls me bro and says what’s up to me?! I’m not cool with you trying to be cool. Just take my order… This place is also never clean when I go in. The tables and floors are always a mess. The bathrooms are in various states of disarray. There are no tv’s or anything entertaining about sitting inside… it’s boring, dull, and kind of drab. But, they have a patio. And on a nice day you can eat outside, and enjoy yourself. At least you can if you can bear the judgement and downright disdain shown by the passerby’s at the fact that you’re eating 10,000 calories as a snack — -well, it’s always a snack for me, at least. Do you think I’d eat at a Smashburger for dinner?! Come on.

I have to start by saying that I am always on the search for GREAT hamburgers. My wife absolutely loves Smashburger and it is by far her favorite place. I think it is a VERY good hamburger, but I still like Five Guys and a few others better. She also loves their sweet potato fries. I like their normal fries. Their malts and milk shakes are top notch also. This location is great. Right on the 16th St mall with on the mall patio.

Burgers were good for fast food. Lots of options. Actually really loved the regular French fries. Staff were super nice and friendly. Three stars due to hassle actually getting there. For Unilocalers please note that the address noted is incorrect. In addition the map to get you there is also incorrect for a completely different location than the address noted. Being from out of town and walking the city this was quite annoying. The location is on 16th street around the block from address noted. I was fortunate to find the place. Recommend they get this accurately updated.

I’ve been to Smashburger several locations now and while overall I’m a fan, I’ve noticed not all things are equal per location. I can vouch for Boulder and 16th Street locations but didn’t care for the shape of the cleanliness of the Arapahoe restaurant. I alway end up ordering the same thing(and recommend): Mushroom swiss burger with parm fries. Killer good.

I’ve been here a few times for lunch and its always packed. I’ve had the chili dog and fried peppers but keep ordering the same thing every time I go… Because they are unique and soooo tastey. One day I will try the burgers… and other fried items like veggies and fries.

We don’t have any Smashburger in California but on a recent trip to Colorado discovered a new place for burgers and I’m a fan. #1 The Colorado burger was perfect and it had the right amount of spiciness from the chile’s. #2 Ordered the Fried Mild Green Chilies. Damn they were good. If they come to California, I’m sure I’ll visit. Good selection but don’t get overwhelmed with the selection and just order one of the creations from the menu.

Well my love for burgers knows no bounds. I had a burger for dinner Saturday, we grilled burgers at home Sunday night, then Monday for lunch I ate my leftovers from both those burgers. What do I want to eat today? A burger, yes! Again! I walked by the newly opened Smashburger cart and was excited to be able to order just a burger for $ 5.50(cards accepted) and walk away with it, wrapped securely, in less than five minutes. No line, either! Upon opening my wrapper, a perfectly assembled burger sat before me piled high with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, red onions and sauces on a super soft egg bun. Nothing was even left on the paper because nothing spilled our smeared out. It wasn’t too tall to eat or too messy. Of course I was a little sad that I couldn’t get french fries, but not too sad because usually fries distract me from my burger. I eat my fries first. Normally that’s why I order a burger in the first place. Anyway, this is a great addition to the 16th Street Mall. Seems like no one even knows it’s there. They also sells chips(jalapeño!) and sodas. You can add bacon to your burger for a buck, or get a combo deal for $ 8 which I assume comes with chips and a drink. The cart only seemed to offer the Classic and the American burgers, both with American cheese. Would love to get some of their delicious green chiles someday, or different cheeses. Hope that’s in the cards. And maybe a veggie burger option too :)
