The mushroom Swiss burger is a must! Can’t go wrong with the truffle mayo it has. The smash fries were also a hit. They come with rosemary and garlic. I came to Colorado on vacation and my friend recommended this place. Glad to know there’s one in California! Will make this a go to for sure!

Been eating this 1 – 2 times a week for the last month since they left us coupons at my office! I love the Classic burger, sweet potato fries and fried pickles. Everything is made fresh WHEN you order, so don’t bitch about waiting! Staff is super nice and the restaurant is always clean!

what i love this place is that you can customize your own burger, and choose 3 different sizes, for that make it exciting. you have a personal touch of your food before enjoying eating it. plus the Harvest Salad; Fresh greens, blue cheese, raisins, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds & tomatoes with balsamic vinaigrette. Choice to add tender marinated grilled or crispy chicken, so yummy…

Hagen daz ice cream meets yuck. Worst chocolate shake I’ve had. I needed a burger stat! Got the big size for just $ 1 more and the promise of Hagen daz won me over on a chocolate shake. However. Shake tasted very odd. Like some thing went horribly wrong and had to throw it in trash. Would come back for burger but too afraid to get shake from hell again.

This was a «convenience stop» for lunch, but we ended up paying. Waiting for 20 minutes for our order was an annoyance, but not awful. The burger was OK. The salad was pretty bad — nothing like it was described. But the worst was finding out that the salad made us sick. Skip this place unless you want to pay the rest of the day.

I have been to quite a few Smashburger restaurants in Colorado, and a couple more in California. So far this one is my favorite. Somehow my favorite Colorado burgers taste better here than other places such as Boulder, and Louisville. CA restaurants don’t have Colorado on their menu though. :) They didn’t even have a California burger on their menu. I like the fact that the folks working there such as Angel and Myra remember me, and even my favorite foods. The previous manager Anthony was nice too. I’m glad that after a management change, the taste and service over here is still the same. They recently raised the price. I wish they didn’t though.

Disappointing… Food flavorless, inferior ingredients, service impersonal… over all it’s not good value for money. Second time trying these guys… I won’t be back

Nice atmosphere, fast service, burger was pretty good. No WiFi, so you have to sponge off the Mellow Mushroom next door, because the 3GLTE service stinks.

I had a coupon for here and I can see why now. Service is close to non existent. I waited 20 min for my to go order. There were two orders ahead of me. After the cashier chatted up with the cook for 5 minutes I received my order. Got back to work and found it was completely wrong. Not even close. Burger vs chicken. Food is basically an extra greasy over priced mcdonalds burger. I wouldn’t come back.

Quick tip: Come for the burgers, not the service. I ordered the Colorado and sweet potato fries, was given a number and sat down at a table near the kitchen staging area. Since I was busy on my phone looking up potential dinner spots I didn’t realize that 20 min had already passed until a waitress came by & asked if I was waiting for anything. I wanted to say, «DUH my number is still on the table», but since I was afraid a smartass comment would lead to unmentionable things done to my food, I instead said«My burger and fries». She seemed shocked, apologized & i heard her yell over to the cook in Spanish what I had ordered. Not sure where the miscommunication happened when I ordered originally but 10 min later my food arrived along with a quick«sorry for the wait here are some coupons the next time you come back». The coupons were for a free side with any burger purchase. And she left my number on the table until the end of my meal. No wonder they had no idea I hadn’t gotten my food yet! Why get a number if it means nothing to the wait staff?!? So one star because the burger was really good and another star for the waitress attempting to make amends with the coupons, but heed the warning of other Unilocalers — service leaves much to be desired.

This is the closest thing I’ve found to In N Out in all of my time of searching Colorado. The Colorado? With the green chile? Ridiculous it’s so good. When I am pregnant and have an excuse I will eat here every day, I swear. For awhile I did and then I looked pregnant so I had to stop, but when the real thing happens I will be their best customer. This place is just delicious. It’s easy, cheap, fast, but of a much higher caliber than the average fast food hamburger. Do yourself a favor and go, perfect for a quick lunch.

Excellent service on the first time around. I definitely will be back soon to dine in this location in 16th St. Mall. My very first time I had dined in with a friend and I ordered a delicious bacon burger with a side of french fries and it did not fail to disappoint me at all. The bacon was well made and crisp, the beef was nice and tender, the bread was toasted and the french fries were simply flawless. My friend ordered a spicy sandwich and she also was highly satisfied with her dish. The server was very easy and outgoing and definitely a great employee, because he made sure we liked the sandwiches and overall I loved my first time at this burger joint. Unfortunately, the second time around I did not feel the ultimate experience and customer satisfaction. I came in with a different friend because this would be his first time, and I ordered the same item(bacon burger) but the haystack onions were totally sour and salty. They left a very strong taste in my mouth and the lemonade I had ordered was sour as well and not very sweet. My friend’s french fries were a little hard and stale, but overall okay. We explained to the female server that we wanted a replacement and she was kind enough to replace them, but the service was incredibly slow. She only checked on other tables mostly, but rarely checked on us and my friend had to call her down about twice during our stay. I think this time it was not as crazy good as other people made it out to be. I will be returning to give it another chance and see if the haystack onions will be improved or not. This isn’t a terrible burger joint, but beware that sometimes the quality of the food may vary on days of your visit.

Well the other Unilocalers were right. They managed to fuck up my order at this location. Thanks for all the warnings guys, I’m pissed I didn’t listen. Anyways, I ordered smash fries and got regular fries. My bun was old and stale. Okay… So my issues weren’t terrible, HOWEVER I ate my food in a booth directly across from the kitchen, and I watched in horror as they fucked up THREE more people’s orders. Wow, it was a complete mess. At the end of my meal I spoke to the employee who fixed my fry mix-up. I asked who and where the manager was. He said the manager was Anthony, but he was not there at the moment. Okay… So no manager? Then who is there to make sure the kitchen is clean??? Who is there to make sure mistakes are corrected and followed up??? Wow Anthony, I would give 1 star but since I like this chain usually I’ll give 2. To whoever owns this location: please get your restaurant under control and hire a better manager.

0 for 6, folks. The latest screwup was a black bean Colorado burger that was missing the ketchup and mustard that I had requested, as well as regular Smashfries instead of the sweet potato Smashfries I had paid for. Also, it did not appear that the green chiles were grilled at all. And the black bean patty was oozing out of the bun. After asking around the office it appears that everyone, literally EVERYONE who has gone to this place has had their order wrong. Every time. Yesterday was an enormous 1100 calorie hassle.

As usual, the burger was awesome! I realize that it’s a) downtown and b) weekday lunch time. But, what a ridiculous wait. We got there about 12:45. The line was all the way up the stairs and wound around by the door. Probably 20 people in line the whole time we were there. Problem? Only one person taking orders; but, three registers. Hmmmm. Also, I ordered a shake. I was almost done with my burger by the time somebody took the time to make shakes for waiting customers. Very unacceptable. Especially when you are downtown and only have a limited amount of time for lunch. The food, as always, was great. Long line, long wait, too few seating options. They could move into the available retail space next door.

This location is SO downtown Denver with its sunken seating and beer options. It’s a small, easy squeezy place to grab a quick burger and fries. I figure Smashburger is the same food all over the place but at least that means you know what you are in for… food wise. I really like the half-underground feel of the inside. Then, there is the option to sit outside on the patio. Of course, if it’s a busy time there won’t be room outside so plan accordingly. No matter where you sit they bring your order out to you. Nice touch for a burger joint on the mall. The menus and payment options are really easy and I found the service to be very efficient and nice. You know they get busy but they still have a smile. This is the perfect place to just drop in and chow down.

It’s been a few years since I’ve been to Smashburger. So, I decided to for lunch a few days ago I wanted a really good burger. I ordered the BBQ burger with Smashfries and a Soda. My preference is to have my meat well done and no pink meat. The burger I ordered was medium-well. The fries were dry and cold however, seasoned well. I could tell I didn’t get a fresh batch of fries. There was a really nice gentleman who asked how my meal was and I responded«eh — ok, my meat wasn’t to my liking». I only said something because he asked. He offered more fries or a shake to make up for the burger. I declined his offer. I didn’t want anymore bad fries and I wasn’t comfortable getting a shake. I probably wont be back anytime soon. Good thing there’s tons of other burger places in the Denver area!

Food: I ordered a bacon cheese burger and a bottle of Ranger IPA. It may not look very good, but it tastes good. You may be able to get a better burger elsewhere, but there is a bigger and better variety available on the menu at Smashburger. Service: It’s a fast food restaurant. You place your order and take a number to your table. They’ll bring out the food to you when it’s ready. No problems here. Location: Pretty convenient if you’re in the Downtown area. Just a few steps away from the free 16th Street MallRide bus line.

Whoever said this place isn’t as good as In-N-Out Burger is only stating the obvious. We don’t have In-N-Out in CO so I give Smashburger a five stars as the best(maybe tied with Lark Burger) fast-food burger in Denver. If you only get one, get the Truffle Mushroom Swiss.
