Great food and great service! Loved the potstickers and the egg drop soup. Definitely coming back.

Our first time dining here was great. We really enjoyed to Singapore noodles, the egg drop soup and whatever kind of roll my wife had was delicious. The service was excellent and no wait for a table at 6PM on Thursday. We will definitely return.

Absolutely loved this place. It is very clean. The owner came to our table and took our order. She offered to cook something custom for my wife who is a pretty picky eater. I thought everything was exceptional. I love the variety on the menu and will definitely be back.

My wife read an article in the paper about Rice Box so we had to try it. Was not disappointed! Huge fresh portions of General Tsao, Pad Thai, shrimp tempura. Love it and sorry we have not eaten here sooner. Our new favorite Asian restaurant. Will try the sushi next visit.

This is a great place for lunch. The food is consistently good. My favorite it the spicy tuna roll with a bowl of hot and sour soup. It doesn’t look like much on the outside but the atmosphere is quite nice. Check it out I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Went here for the first time tonight. The service was quick; we got a table right away and drinks soon after. There’s a lot of dishes on the menu(Chinese, Japanese, and Thai), and that can be good or bad. Not every restaurant can offer a wide selection and have all the choices be good. Here, it works. My wife got the Pad Thai and I got Mongolian beef; both were excellent. The beef was flavorful, tender, and with just the right amount of spiciness. Check it out.

Used to eat there hoping they would give SOME attention to the lousy service … Tonight … Left after sitting 30 minutes waiting for our appetizer, let alone dinner … Owner and her sister in law are just very poor businesspeople … They have a horrible customer service ethic… Will never return again… And as the place is mostly empty every night… They can ill afford this… Shame as the food is decent.

This place is amazing! When I lived in Denver this was my go to spot. I would eat here at least once a week if not more. Eventually the staff got to know me and began to treat me like family! I now live in Chicago and I’ve yet to find sushi that matches the quality even living in a world class city. This is the best Asian food ever! I still come here every single time I visit North Carolina! My top recommendations are obviously sushi, but also their hibachi is spectacular.

We ate at Rice Box for the first time today. The General Chicken was tough and chewy. The egg drop soup was unrecognizable as such. The ginger dressing was nasty. We won’t go back unless we are desperate. We had to ask for the wait service we got.

Went back to Rice Box tonight for dinner because hubby wanted fried rice like he used to get in Japan. I’m happy to say that the service is much improved since my review in April. There were 2 new servers and a sign in the window advertising for another waiter. There were more customers there tonight so I hope business is improving. The manager’s children are still running around which takes away from the atmosphere, but the food was excellent and our server was very attentive and personable.

Food was great, service was not. I felt like Ron Pope you… Set it and forget it. I had to get up three times to request different things for our table because no one came back to check on us. when I would go to the front to our server she was on her phone every single time.

I visited Rice Box for lunch on Saturday with my sister who uses this place as her go-to lunch spot. I ordered the hibachi chicken with brown rice, boring, I know, but sometimes simplicity yields the best results. My sister ordered a bento box. The chicken was high quality and quite tasty and the rice was fresh. The sushi roll served in the bento box appeared to be quite skimpy and immediately fell apart when she tried to pick it up with chopsticks and as an avid sushi-lover, it was disappointing to know that they do not properly roll the sushi. To each his own, I suppose. All in all, the food sufficed as a nice lunch and held me over completely until dinner. However, the service was lacking. Our waitress disappeared and did not even bother to refill our waters. We requested wasabi and never received it. I would understand these circumstances if the place was busy, but there was only one other table in the restaurant at the time.

Everything I’ve had at the Rice Box has been delicious and the presentation is beautiful. I’ve had the Mongolian Beef, Chicken in Garlic Sauce, and the sushi. The owner and servers are so friendly and really make the dining experience wonderful.

I’ll try no to be too critical but after our 4th trip here nothing changed from my previous trips — the service is slow and at times the servers are downright rude. The food is good; though I do not recommend the sushi. Every time we’ve gotten it it’s fallen apart and there’s next to no fish in it… very disappointed but after 4 trips enough was enoigh… its off the menu forever.

Happy to have a good sushi place near home now. Tasty, fresh made sushi rolls are wonderful and don’t fall apart. They actually fit in your mouth too! Unlike some of the other touted places in Huntersville that are over rated! I work in Charlotte and we get sushi for lunch at least once a week but I haven’t found a decent place near home until now. So glad! Haven’t tried any other dishes yet but the seaweed salad is great too.

Well I honestly couldn’t tell you how the food is because I stood in the lobby for five minutes three people made eye contact with me and not one person said hey have a seat or someone will be right with you.

Ok, so this place is covering a lot of ground on the Asian cuisine front, and may lose a few points for trying to be all things to all people, but I have to say, aside from a few service hiccups, I have been extremely pleased with the food here and appreciate a good variety of styles. I ordered a Thai style spicy pineapple chicken and was actually very impressed with the taste, portion and presentation. This type of spicy-sweet dish is right in my wheel house, and so I consider myself a bit of an expert on these things. Having it come on a highly appointed half-pineapple was pleasantly unexpected. We had a couple of top-notch cocktails to start, which didn’t hurt my impression of the place, I suppose. Also had a very nice Thai Calamari appetizer. My wife’s Shrimp Lo Mein was actually the best she’s had. It was actually pretty special for a bunch of noodles, I have to say. We decided to give the sushi a run next and ordered take out a few days later. WOW. again, very impressed with the presentation and I haven’t had better exotic sushi rolls anywhere. NYC and Boston included. Very happy with this place and will be back regularly!

NOTE: Be careful of other 4 – 5 star reviews of places like this — they come from people who think boiled peanuts are a «durn good» appetizer at a wedding… Once again, by «west side of the lake» standards this place may be seen as decent, but it’s far from 4 or 5 star caliber. When it recently opened I hoped beyond hope we’d get something better than run-of-the-mill Asian(actually it’s a bit of a Eastern mish mash of a menu). It’s ok, but when I inquired about getting a spring roll that wasn’t deep fried(thats an egg roll), i got a look like I had fallen from the sky, and this was from the owner! Service was basic and marginal — server obviously had no previous exposure to asian food to be able to answer questions. They seated two people at an eight top table… odd and awkward for us… a beginners level mistake on their part. Atmosphere is OK if not a bit over the top with the odd ceiling lighting. So, I’m sad to have to report that Denver STILL doesn’t have any sort of Eastern-oriented restaurants that rise above marginal and boring. Bummer.

Great place! Service was wonderful and the food was delicious. You can definitely tell the food is made from scratch. It definitely leans more towards Chinese, but they have a pretty good sushi menu and a couple of thai dishes. We had a couple of Chinese dishes along with some very good dumplings and some delicious egg drop soup. We will definitely be going back!

The Rice Box is great news for Denver; we needed a Thai restaurant! But it’s not just Thai. Rice Box has Chinese, Japanese, Malaysian and Sushi. The food tastes as good as it looks. They have a chef(not just a cook) who carves strawberries and veggies to decorate the plate. The portions were ample; the service was prompt and attentive. They also have a full-service bar.
