They have the best chicago-style deep dish pizza I’ve found so far in Denver. Now I’m not saying it’s 100% genuine, but it’s pretty good. They still need to work on baking the pizza without over-doing the crust… I thought the edges were a bit too crispy. But the sauce is good and there’s plenty of cheese! Plus a good happy hour that goes until 6 pm, a bruschetta that you’ve gotta try, and nice patio searing. Will visit again!

Very friendly staff and a cozy place to dine. The night we went, wasn’t crowded at all. We don’t line in Denver and stayed only for two nights. As the matter of fact we were the only ones in the restaurant. There were other places close by that were more crowded. But we didn’t care much as it was quieter and we cared about the food most of all. I recommend it at least once to get a feel.

I am a big, big fan of Patxi’s Pizza in general and this location is the one closest to my house so it’s our default location, whether we are visiting in person or having delivery. Patxi’s is known for their deep dish style of crust, but I’m also a big fan of their thin crust and even their gluten free option(I’m not gluten free, but I have friends that are and it’s nice that we can share a pie together without me missing the gluten in my crust.) Honestly, I’ve also had many of their salads and appetizers(hello, burrata!) and everything I’ve ordered and eaten I’ve enjoyed. The best part is I don’t really see any inconsistency in the quality of their food even if it is delivery. If you happen to be looking for a lunch option in the area I also recommend Patxi’s for that. You can get a slice of pizza, a salad, and a drink for 10 bucks. And the kids’ snack-friendly pizza is a great option if you have littles with you in your group. I’ve really never had a bad time at any Patxi’s location, thanks to the friendly staff and the delicious pizza and this spot is not an exception to that rule!

I don’t get it. I just don’t get it. If you’re looking for subpar pizza at too much money per, this is your spot. I have had Patxi’s three times now, and I have never truly enjoyed the experience. The first two times were from the owner popping in to my place of work(two separate restaurants, I might add) and the last was delivery. Honestly, the first time the owner came in to our place I figured it was just a neighborly thing and was very pleased. The second time? It felt like someone fishing for compliments. I suppose the pizza is traditional Chicago-style deep dish — by which I mean heftily filled with cheese and topped with sauce. I will say this, in their defense, I am a NY boy through and through; Chicago pizza to me is fakery. That being said, I can appreciate a Chicago meat and cheese pie without calling it pizza. Every time I’ve had this pizza it was so overloaded with toppings that it was a huge mess to eat; which would be understandable if not for the complete and utter lack of flavor in any of the ingredients. It needs more pizzazz there; ultimately a reasonable rendition of deep dish, but mediocre in flavor. I’ve been jumping between two and three stars for this review, and normally I would err on the lower side for a review like this, but I think that would be unfair given my propensity for real pizza.

So went in not expecting much… before going to A jazz club… then Bartender… Was Amazing… got us all drinks… Then for the birthday gal. Put on a show… by show I mean tossed bottles… like I havn’t seen since going to Vegas… Colorado needs more of this… Also Great Atmosphere… And definitely Great Pizza… everyone should come see a great bartender… and get a deep dish!

One of the best gluten free crusts I’ve encountered, AND they don’t charge you extra for it, AND they have 2 different sizes. That’s just unheard of and makes me so happy. Why thank you, Patxi’s. I’ve had delivery from here a couple times and have been in person once, and I think it’ll remain a go-to(except after the delivery fee and a couple toppings you’re looking at $ 30+ for a 14″ pizza). It’s definitely not cheap, but it’s been consistently delicious. 14″ specialty pizzas are anywhere from $ 16-$ 28, and the build-your-own starts at $ 16 with just cheese. Meat toppings are $ 3-$ 5, and extra cheese and veggies are $ 1.50-$ 2.50. It adds up pretty quickly. Everything looks and tastes so fresh, so I can’t complain about flavor or quality. They’re both way up there with the best of ‘em. There’s a pretty comprehensive drink menu with $ 9 cocktails. Some are classics like the old fashioned and Moscow mule; some I’ve never heard of like the«Proud Clarion»(vodka, apricot liqueur, lemon juice, prosecco) or the«Aces and Eights»(gin, Aperol, lime juice, Pompelmousse). Whaaaaat is pompelmousse? Everything sounds so good and I think $ 9 is pretty good for nice cocktails. Our waiter was friendly enough but a tad inattentive. I’d been hoping for a drink refill for awhile but he didn’t check on us too often(or he seemed to glance at our table and walk by quickly). Either way, we enjoyed our GF pizza and greek salad(the lettuce was so good). You’re gonna spend some dollars here, but I think it’ll be worth it. Plus, they have a pretty sweet Happy Hour menu: $ 3 off all wine and cocktails + $ 5 personal pizzas. Yes, please.

Due to the location and layout, I think this is my favorite of the Denver Patxi’s locations I’ve visited so far. The décor is similar to the Cherry Creek space, with rustic dark woods and metal accents. The room is long and narrow and sort of divided up into several different seating areas, from cozy corners to community bar space. The bar is really cool because it has seating both indoors and outdoors(and even TVs facing outside). The patio is spacious and offers great people watching along 17th Street. The food? Duh! It’s Patxi’s! Delicious deep dish and thin crust pizzas, yummy salads, and don’t skip the burrata bruschetta. Or the artichoke dip. The lunch special really is an awesome deal — a slice(your choice of the daily featured meat or veggie), any salad, and a fountain drink for $ 9.99. It’s a filling lunch and an inexpensive way to try out both pizza and salad together. I’ve yet to be disappointed by the food or service here. Patxi’s is a great neighborhood spot.

Even though we dined with Patxi’s last night, it seems appropriate still that I write the review today since I had a piece o’ pie for breakfast. This is my third time eating here as well. We showed up for dinner around 5:30(I like to eat early on Sundays) as a party of 4. We each had a beer that we enjoyed from their ample sized local brew selection on draft. Beer and pizza go together like any of the best pairings imaginable so that was a no-brainer. We started with the meatballs while we waited for our deep dish pie to be baked. The meatballs were succulent and moist throughout, swimming in some delicious marinara. It was also served with some fresh baked, hot focaccia. You might say, why start with bread, red sauce and meatballs before having pizza of all things. However, its because these things are all f’ing amazing, that’s why. Not to mention everything was delicious. About 20 mins later our pie came out and it took all of my strength and willpower to limit myself to one slice of pie. One slice, especially with 2 beers and some meatball, is plenty to achieve a satiated state, although we all know too well how it is almost impossible to only have one piece of pizza. These slices are hefty and will fill you with one if you give your stomach a chance to realize what’s in there. Somehow I managed the feat, a decision I relished this morning after I ate my remaining slice with a fork, post-spin class at 8am. Service was excellent; we never had to look for our waiter. Simply said, their deep dish is superb. I come from Berkeley, CA, where we are all about Zachary’s and Patxi’s is right up there with them. Well done!

As a Chicago boy in Colorado I had given up on Chicago Style deep Dish out here, but after having some in DisneyWorld that about made the whole vacation for me I was told to try Paxti’s. I’m glad I did. Great Chicago Style Deep Dish pizza with flaky crust, great service and great music playing, we will definitely be back. I recommend the Burrata as an appetizer as you wait for your pizza. The deep dish takes about 40 minutes. Good beer selection.

Yes, for pizza this place is expensive. BUT it’s actually really good pizza. The ingredients taste fresh and overall the meal was well prepared. We had the 14 deep dish half BBQ ½ Californian. The veggies in the Californian tasted fresh although baked(if you can imagine such a thing). The chicken in the BBQ pizza was hearty chunks of meat(they didn’t skimp on the meat & there was a good balance of meat and sauce). For appetizers we had the antipasto(a selection of fresh meat & cheeses like mozzarella, fontina, olives & spicy chorizo. It also came with focaccia which was crisped to perfection. We had a bottle of Edge(paired very well with the antipasto and the pizza) which was a tasty red w/o the after taste. My palette appreciated that but my liver sure won’t :-/the food is so good that before you know it the bottle of wine you ordered is empty(don’t judge). The waitstaff were friendly, accommodating and still gave us our space. Our server poured our wine and also plated our pizza once it arrived. Overall a great experience. Nice décor, good service & even better food!

I could rave about this restaurant for a while! First of all, great service! Our waiter was very on too of things, and kept the business speedy since our group was in a hurry to get to a movie. Second, the atmosphere is just exciting, yet chill. There is a bar, but also nice seating for groups or dates. Third, the food– fantastic! Our group all loved what they ordered, and considering the was the first time I had ordered pizza out(being vegan) I was extremely satisfied! The deep dish though…

Great service & exceptional pizza. We came in after 2p and ordered the tre porcellini and the amazing kale& Brussels sprouts salad. Shane our sever was wonderful and Brandon was kind enough to visit our table. Our pizza was burnt and had to wait for another but they comped it off our bill. We had an awesome lunch! We will def be back and appreciate Brandon and Shane’s customer service.

Have heard many great things about the restaurant and since I’m new to Denver and love pizza I needed to give them a shot. Do not expect a quick meal! They’re famous for their deep dish style pizza which takes about 45 mins to cook and are on the pricey side. We started with a small Caesar salad, which came out extremely quick and a couple of their fresh squeezed lemonades.(Amazing!) Ordered a small meat pizza which was perfect for 2 people, I would order a size up if you would like any leftovers to take home. Definitely the best pizza I’ve had in Denver, lots of toppings and sauce. I did add a little extra Parmesan cause I love cheese. They also include hot pepper oil and organic honey on all the tables which was delicious with the deep crust! I would recommend and will definitely be back to try some of their appetizers and different toppings

Paxti’s always caught my eye while on 17th street, mostly because of their fabulous patio. Garage door that opens at the bar, numerous reclaimed wooden tables, a covered area, and plentiful people watching. The first night my hubs and I stopped in, there was a 45 minute wait to be seated, and then a significant wait time after that for pizza. No thanks – we passed, but kept it on our radar. Flash forward to summer: we returned to that blessed patio. We biked over with friends and decided to begin with their $ 3 mimosas. Hey, it was the weekend, we were brunching. With pizza. It makes sense. The mimosas are in tiny champagne flutes. Don’t expect a big olé pint glass like I did. That said, they’re a great mix – not too orangey. Lots of champagne. My hubs and his buddy wanted to order the artichoke dip. It was delicious. Really greasy though, and I wish it were served with some soft bread instead of only the crostini. The real winner here is the pizza. We didn’t go for the deep dish because we wanted something a bit quicker. We went with a bacon, jalapeño, and pineapple mash-up. And now, that’s my favorite pizza combination. Just the right amount of crunch, not too light on the toppings, and served warm(but not too hot to eat). We’ll continue to return. One of these days I’ll give the deep dish a try. It is a higher price point-and that’s why they earned 4 instead of 5 stars.

Paxti’s is in a great spot in Uptown. From the outside it looks more like a trendy sports bar than a pizza joint, but I promise it masters both drinks and eats. Service is friendly, and pizza is delicious. My mouth keeps watering looking at all these other Unilocalers’ photos of the deep dish. Now I’m craving it! Also, most seats are in a prime spot for people watching on 17th Ave. I have to say though, my true loyalty to Paxti’s is based off their support of our community. As a public school teacher in the area, I needed a bunch of unused, clean pizza boxes for a class project. After checking around with some local pizzerias who wanted to charge me for the boxes, I called Paxti’s. I didn’t need to do any cajoling or begging, the manager just instantly offered up as many pizza boxes as I needed as a donation to my classroom. I picked them up that afternoon and they let me take even more than promised over the phone. THANKYOU, Paxti’s!

Good, but pricey and really heavy. Gotta be in the mood for it. Pizza will take a while, so be prepared for the wait. Awesome patio and outdoor seating. Burrata appetizer is incredible. They have a good happy hour. Their salads are meh. Staff is friendly and helpful.

They absolutely mastered the pan pizza! The crust was so flaky, light yet strong enough to hold all the toppings without falling apart! According to my boyfriend, who’s a pizza lover, this is pretty phenomenal! It’s definitely the way to go if you like the Chicago style but don’t want the extra layer of dough. We ordered a split one topping 10 in pie with sausage on one side and arugula on the other half. We also ordered the Ballast Point Sculpin IPA in the spirit of International Beer Day! Our waiter was very attentive and personable who was sincerely interested in providing an enjoyable experience. The manager also stopped by our table to make sure everything was going well! He actually worked with Mr. Patxi himself in California before relocating to Denver. You know a good restaurant when the manager really cares about their employees and promotes teamwork. Overall, we had a wonderful experience this time around! Patxi’s is a good place for causal dinner with friends or simply have a few drinks at the awesome bar!

Boo. So they used to sell pitchers of beer but stopped. That’s a bummer when the pizza takes 30 – 40 mins to come out of the oven. Now you’re either going to sit there without a drink or pony up for 4 pints for two people while you wait. I’ve now stopped myself from going to Paxti’s twice because I feel kinda screwed buying four pints for my wife and I while I wait. Bring back the pitchers!

I am no connaisseur of deep dish, since this is pretty hard to find in Montréal, but sometimes I have dreams where I am swimming mouth open in the sauce slathered on the pie at this here spot and so I think it’s pretty good. The crust was buttery and lovely, the meat and cheese was seemingly endless and between three of use we barely cracked the large(made for delicious leftover late night I heard, but cannot personally confirm.) Friendly funny staff, very welcoming, and I liked our table surrounded by windows semi private off the main dining room. Very accommodating for vegans and the lunch deal for a slice was quick and satisfying for those in our crew who tried it.

First time visiting Patxi’s after walking past it many times. Finally gave in and deciding to just go by myself with the idea that I would bring home leftovers with me… umm that didn’t happen! While the 10′ thin crust margherita I ordered should have been sufficient for two people I could not exert some self control and only eat half of it. The pizza was good and for $ 11 I think it’s a fair price considering it’s not your cheap by the slice pizza sold in every street corner in Denver. While I do want to try their famous deep dish pizza I was warned ahead that it takes 45min to make. If you call beforehand or come in with a large party and are in no hurry then the deep dish pizza would be perfect.

Heard of The Passion of the Christ? What about The Passion of the Deep Dish? On my most recent trip to beautiful Denver, the city’s illest Unilocal-throbs/coolest work colleagues ever brought us to Paxti’s. It’s there where I found my love for the thick crust, after having several underwhelming deep-dish dining experiences in Chi-City less than a decade ago. Truthfully, I didn’t expect much from a chain, let alone a deep dish joint(not a weed joke, lol) in Denver. I’m so sorry, deep dish Gods, I have sinned. I beg you all for forgiveness! ***** FOOD: Three of us shared a large order of the Classic Meat, which consisted of fennel sausage and pepperoni. And about the za, oh, lawd, I could’ve been baptized in this decadent and heavenly tomato sauce that sort of sparkled when I starred at it long enough. The meats also tasted like gifts from the all oink-y pork lords, and they were well-worth any possible damage to my arteries. Most wonderfully, though, was the beautiful and not-too-dough-y buttery crust that put me to shame, since I used to discriminate against this classic. Enlightened, I was. SERVICE: For such a large crowd, I thought they accommodated us very well. Especially, since our sever even asked us whether or not we preferred the food to come out at the same time or not. I appreciate how considerate he was. DECOR: Industrial meets cabin. I dig it. Today, I am a deep dish disciple, and I am so excited to spread its hearty gospel to the rest of the world. Tomato sauce on top, playas. All day, err day. Amen.

Parking was a bit tricky, but luckily found a spot on the street adjacent to the building. Meatballs for the appetizer. Half Arugala and Half Three meat(forgot the name) 14″ pizza. The meatballs were SO good. Pizza was great too. We wished we would’ve gotten the 10″. We were getting full with the five meatballs and bread that came with it. Great ambiance. Bar with TVs. Lighting was really dim. Service was excellent!

Let’s get one thing out of the way! I’m Vegan! I have tried a lot of Vegan Pizza’s but i have never had anything remotely close to the DEEPDISHVEGANPIZZA at Patxi’s. It was on par with anything I ate in Chicago, when I was still a meat eating young buck. The crust was incredible, toppings were packed just right, and the sauce and vegan cheese were ripping! I ordered the smallest pizza I could get and I could still only eat 3 pieces! This would come in handy on my last night in town at 3am in my hotel room when I finished the other 3 after a long night out drinking with buds! Yes the pizza was still amazing 35 hours after it was purchased! Our server was great, to our excitable table of 10! The music was perfect. I heard songs by Wilco, Spoon, and the Strokes! PATxi’s made this PATrick very happy!
