We have been looking for a local breakfast joint for just over two years. Our waitress Danny was very helpful in providing suggestions. I had Chile rellenos and eggs with skillet potatoes and Husband had a Hungry Man. The eggs(over easy) were cooked perfectly and his link sausage was delicious. My crispy rellenos and ½&1/2 Chile was awesome. We also tried a half order of biscuits & gravy, but we prefer more sausage with a little bit of heat. I’m happy to say, we found our new close to home breakfast joint. The guest areas are clean with new wall décor. The prices were reasonable. I look forward to trying other menu items!

This place was good before but with new owners it’s getting better. Can’t wait for the new menu to come. They now serve waffles here.

I had a bad experience here. I came in with some friends. I ordered a burger and no fries. I wanted a salad instead. It was pretty good. Really greasy. A little too greasy. When I got the check I saw the full price of the burger and fries plus the whole cost of a salad. Usually there might be an up charge for the substitution but this was ridiculous. I asked if they could fix the mistake. They told me that the fries are included in the price no matter what. I didn’t get fries. I didn’t want fries. Why am I paying for fries? That’s just how it is, they said. Is there anything your willing to do to make me happy and keep me as a customer? We can give you fries. So their solution was to give me the fries that I didn’t order, didn’t want and didn’t want to pay for. Wow! You guys are amateurs. Can’t even handle basic customer service. I will never be back. Bye!

We’re regular customers at the parkway and can honestly say they have great home made food and great service.

Not too shabby but lacking. Home style feel, good size and diversity in menu, but lacking in flavor.

My boyfriend and I were hoping this would be our new favorite diner. It’s close to where we live and has that really dated atmosphere inside. Unfortunately we were very disappointed when we visited. I ordered the eggs and toast with potatoes and my boyfriend ordered the same but with sausage patties. We both ordered our eggs over medium, but the whites in our eggs came out severely undercooked. The sausage patties my boyfriend ordered were still pink on the inside. The potatoes were good but didn’t have a lick of seasoning on them. Good coffee and the waitress was nice, but if the cook can’t execute a simple breakfast correctly, I can tell you that we will not be back.

There is something about this place… I think, in general, I’m a relatively big fan of greasy spoons, although I don’t go into them very often because they don’t typically have healthy food options — but I LOVE the prices of them! The Parkway Café is a great establishment because they have a clean(for a dive) establishment with awesomely cheesy décor and the BEST staff(SUPER friendly) and decent diner food. The prices are right and the portions are BIG! I would recommend this place for dinner during the week if you’re looking for a place to check out that isn’t super busy. GREAT breakfast as well, but it can get busy.

5 Stars because for a Greasy Spoon, this is the Apogee. I would reccomend experiencing it for yourself. True short-order cooking. Do breakfast of lunch, they’re the best times. As for what to eat, get a Burrito or a Burger. These are just the Best, everything is good.

I just got done eating at the Parkway Café and I have to say it was OK(didn’t mean to rhyme there). I was looking for a good gyro sandwich near my house and upon reading the reviews thought this would be a good place. And it was OK. It wasn’t great, it wasn’t terrible. The gyro is three slabs of gyro meat in a pita with lettuce, onion and tomato on the side. The cucumber yogurt sauce also came on the side. The fries were bland and tasted frozen. This is a typical café. I looked at the rest of the menu and it looked all right. I might go back for breakfast another time. So, I’d say the Parkway Café is worth a shot, but don’t set your expectations too high.

I went specifically for the Gyro pita which was recommended to me. It had nice toasty pita which I liked, the meat was unique since it wasn’t the usual thinly shaved pieces from a spit but rather ¼″ thick slabs. The yogurt sauce, lettuce, tomatoes & onions came on the side which works well. I did find my lunch to be a little pricey, considering the fact the place is in a trashy strip mall free of any typical REI clad Denverboulderites, I paid $ 11.50 w/tip for a Gyro pita, fries and drink. I also thought it was kind a cool how this extremely middle-american-Joe-the-plumber restaurant is smack dab in between a tattoo parlor and piercing shop which created an interesting juxtaposition for people watching.

I love Greeks. Specifically, I love Greek restaurateurs, especially the ones who run breakfast/lunch joints like this one. They just know how to fill your plate up with hearty chow, and lots of it. Nick is the owner of this place, and you’ll find him here most of the time when he’s not over at his other establishment, Tug’s Bar and Grill on N. Washington(more on that in another review). Standard breakfast/lunch fare can be found here, cheap and satisfying. Hashbrowns are HOMEFRIES, crispy and hot. I could eat a plate of these babies w/ketchup by themselves. Oh, yeah, and the green chili? Excellent, spicy, meaty, I get it on everything breakfast-y here, and on the side if not, just to have some, ‘cuz it’s so goddamn GOOD. I’m making the observation here that while the big chains are struggling/going out of business altogether, places like The Parkway will never die, because they deliver up what the people want: good food, cheap.
