Dive bar. Was pretty empty in the sunday before labor day, but that meant we didn’t have to wait for the pool table or juke box. Price: three stars Service: four stars Environment: my original impression was three stars, but once we got a pool table without waiting, I realized the appeal of a less bustling bar. So maybe 3.5 stars???

This place Rocks! Support local businesses. The food is wonderful, especially the pizzas and fried pickles. Every night of the week they have awesome deals Tuesday is $ 5 for basket of wings(6 –7), Wednesday they have $ 6 pizzas with one topping. They have a great beer selection, but not so overwhelming that you cant choose one. Bar staff is wonderful! Very attentive but not pushy. Not to mention there is a great little patio and pool tables to keep you around for hours.

Much of my feelings about this place haven’t changed in three years: the crowd is still a little weird, as in I can’t tell who the target clientele really is; its damn cold next to the windows in the winter; but good specials, and the food is pretty tasty. We tried the Parmesan fries, which I highly recommend. The $ 5 one topping pizza deals on Wednesday’s cant be beat and now the happy hour goes to 6:30 pm which works a lot better for me.

My review has changed drastically! What a bummer because I liked Rob when I started my night. Had a shot as well with the guy. Somehow mixed up my card. Also the groupon I used and then charged my card 50 bucks when I redeemed my groupon for 30 dollars. My original charge was 41.36. Total with groupon it would have been … No need for me to explain that. I was charged 54.36 and given the wrong card when I closed out. Just a ridiculous failure!!! Lost out and I can’t believe I was charged 50.00 and it was not even close to those amounts. TJ I gave you the receipts. I am not even a local because they sure made me feel like one. Blah. Terrible job guys.

Been here a few times and service was great very friendly. Came tonight and will not be back. Rude bartender took 15 minutes until we could even get his attention to ask for a menu after we ordered our drinks and they were not busy. No how are you doing nothing… A girl at the bar had clearly been over served and was loud and obnoxious when we walked in. Ten minutes later the bartender was doing a shot with her she could barely walk out of the place after she screamed obscenities Pizza is good but so are 20 other places in Denver

Showed up at 4:10 and the bar was closed. Someone Cameout and said he needed half hour to get ready. Common…

Great food. I had them well do the French fries. My fault too well done. Just have them cook it regular. Have them light salt. Too much seasoning for me. Fish was super fresh. It seamed like they just buttered them. Fries where fresh also. Got the fried pickels. Wow. I am glad my daughter just got braces. I got to eat all the fried pickels. Has two pool tables and a foos ball table. Place was not loud. I see when they are busy they could get loud. But, the place is large. Real clean that I could see. Staff was nice. Not great, but good. Five stars because of good and atmosphere. Staff kept my soda full. And came over to ask if I needed anything a few times.

Specials most nights of the week, including pizza and spaghetti/meatballs. It’s a little bit divey, and that’s part of the charm. There is a small seating area outside and numerous pool tables inside for all the pool sharks. The food is nothing to rave about, but it is far better than the food I’ve had at most comparable, small neighborhood bars. I’d suggest the pineapple mango Moscow mule for a cocktail. Lots of beer specials as well. Sit down at the bar and chat it up with the bartenders. They have a bunch of random trinkets on the shelves with all the liquor. Ask where they came from for some entertaining stories!

This place appears to be a pool hall type bar, but they have Thee Best Burger! And the service was great! Very friendly and attentive and personable. They have great food specials during the week– we will return!

Went here on a Wednesday night and they have 2 topping pizzas for $ 5. The bar was busy so we sat at the booths in the back by the pool tables, there was some sort of pool competition going on but the other booths and most of the patio booths were available so there was no excuse for the shit slow service, even if the pizza was tasty! Hopefully their other bar is better, ha!

Great atmosphere, great HH, and great weeknight specials. I first went here on a Tuesday, and experience the magic of their 50 cent wings(I also ordered fried pickles). Then I returned the very next day because someone had recommended their $ 5 pizza Wednesday special! That pizza was well worth $ 5! I will be back, and hope to remain a loyal customer :)

Great service and great food. Took off a star because it is on the pricey side. Burger at $ 13(heart attack) which the boyfriend loved. I had the goombah pizza with Gorgonzola and pears. My own mistake was forgetting that Gorgonzola makes me wicked nauseous. The pizza was amazing though! The dough is thin but not crispy so it breaks as soon as you touch it thin. Had a draft beer and it tasted fine… Not sure what that tip was about… They did have a special for 50 cent wings which we couldn’t get with the groupon so we will be back. The daily specials and happy hour specials are totally worth the trip. I would also come back again for the fried pickles which were incredible. Overall: go during happy hour, good food and good service.

This place has changed a lot over the years, and I think I liked it best when it was the pizza/salumi bar before this. In this incarnation, they’ve kept the excellent pizzas but changed it to more of a bar feel(hence the name change), and the menu now has more«bar food» than Italian. I’m glad they kept the pizzas though, because they’re still really good. I wasn’t as thrilled with the apps or the Caesar salad, but the pizzas definitely hit the spot. They seem to be getting a lot of customers from the daily deals and Groupons, so hopefully that will pump up their business a little. Drink selection is actually kind of small for a place that’s trying to be a fancy bar — the beer list was decent but nothing too remarkable, and the wine list was actually pretty limited. Seems like they still haven’t quite decided what they want to be yet.

This is the 2nd time that I’ve been here and BOTH times it’s been FANFUCKINGTASTIC! The crust on their pizza I’s superbly cooked — not under or over cooked, but goldilocks right. Salads are fresh and fried pickle chips and calamari are very very good. Drinks are sufficiently poured and staff is ever friendly. I highly highly recommend this establishment for lunch or dinner as they have daily deals. KUDOS

I’ve been here a handful of times. The drinks are good, strong pours and the atmosphere is divey– nothing fancy, but that’s something I like about it. I like the pizzas and appetizers– and for the first time last night, the significant other and I had caesar salads too. The lettuce was fresh, the dressing was tasty. What more can you ask out of a caesar salad? We had the parmesan fries– they weren’t anything special, but they were good as an appetizer. The pool tables look fun and there are tables that you can have a nice view of the sidewalk and people passing by. It’s great for dinner and a movie with the Esquire close by. The only down side? As with most of Denver… parking. Find street parking or if you’re going to the movie, stay in the Esquire’s lot. I’d recommend this place!

A dive bar. Service was good. She filled I our drinks good. But over charge us. Was looking forward for potatoe skins. Was disappointed for the price. Maybe give it another shot. Certainly wished that restaurants would put pictures of their meals.

Ehhhhhhhhh, I don’t know. If I hadn’t driven over here for dinner, maybe I’d be a little more forgiving. If I lived down the street and just really liked having a dive bar nearby, maybe. But nah. Maybe they were having an off night, but they were severely understaffed. Severely. One waitress for probably 12 tables, with clumsy assists from the bartender. Everyone looked agitated as it took way too long for drinks and food to come around. The waitress didn’t carry a pad and pen with her and forgot multiple tables’ orders. The bartender knocked my water over when he was bringing our salads. We had to wait probably 15 minutes after we were done to get the bill, only to find it had an error on it. We felt bad for the employees, because it was clear that they were trying their best, but the service was overall pretty atrocious. The food was fine. The pizzas were super greasy, but the toppings were fresh and the flavors were good. The salads were good for the price. But if I want pizza and I’m in this part of town, Angelo’s is delivering a much, much better product just a few blocks away. If you’re looking for a dive bar that happens to serve decent(for a dive bar) food, and you can walk here, there’s no real harm in coming. But anything other than that strangely specific desire, and you’ll probably want to steer clear.

This is an ok place to drop in and grab a drink and a meal. The prices and location make this place key for some friends and I to stop in on occasion. The food is better than bar food. I am a big fan of their sister bar, The Next Door Lounge. Somehow, I just think that the atmosphere here is a little too bright and sporty in comparison to The Next Door Lounge. If it had a little more edge and style I would be more into this place and would want to spend more than an hour here. DT.
