So, hard to write much about this one. It’s kinda«meh», as in not bad, but not great; it’s just kind of right in the middle. Maybe there are more rocking nights there, but it just seemed kinda boring. The coffee was decent at least, and the server was pleasant. No music, and it was quiet, so it served it’s purpose as a meeting place. But it could have had some music to help with the atmosphere. So yeah, not bad, not good. It just kind of worked. I would like to maybe try some of their food sometime though. I don’t drink, so really, I’m limited to food and coffee.

Wasn’t particularly crazy about the place. Nothing happened to prevent me from ever going back, but certainly nothing intrigues me to choose Michelangelo’s over another place nearby. Seating was a few tables, big comfy chairs + some patio seating outside. Some outlets around(not at every seat, but the place was empty enough it was no trouble getting one) The wifi was fine for me, fairly quick, didn’t go off. The counter girl was not personable or at all efficient, it seemed like she was bored the whole time. When I came to order, the phone rang and the she left to answer it(sounded like friend), they talked for a few minutes, she took the phone from her ear and asked what I wanted. I ordered a small drink, apparently under the minimum charge limit on a card(I usually carry cash for coffee shops, just not then). Then she couldn’t swipe my card yet because she still had the phone off the hook, and said you can’t do both at the same time. I left my card with her, she finished her conversation, then started my drink. The atmosphere was cool, a little more upscale than you’ll usually find. It was quiet there, which was great for working, I’m not sure it would be a good hangout place. My drink was was good. I came for the coffee, so can’t attest to the wine at all. Honestly, I just left feeling very so-so about the place.

We came here during the UMS. Wanting a glass of wine and relax after a busy morning/afternoon with all the perusing of the shops on South Broadway and shopping. It was my first time ever in a coffee bar slash wine bar. However the two blended nicely. They have specials which are good to check up on like their $ 5 Sangria. Wish we had of done that rather than the glass of wine. It was a warm day and Sangria would of been much better. The outdoor patio is perfect for people watching. Prices are easy on the pocket book

This place is awesome. No matter what your guests preferences are(wine, coffee, tea, sangria, etc.) they’ve got a choice here. The cheese/fruit plates to accompany your drinks are good sized and well put together. We order two thinking they would be little, and it was almost too much. They also have a nice assortment of desserts in the showcase, which is nice. The nice option is that the have random wine specials depending on what bottles are currently open(so they don’t get too old). That keeps things interesting. The décor is inviting and eclectic. Good conversation pieces. They have indoor and outdoor seating though the outdoor table are on a slant, which is a little weird. The staff is generally knowledgeable about what they are serving you and they are always pleasant.

Ahoy amigos! Michelangelo’s is: –Hip –Urban –Classy –A bit posh –Comfortable –Free Wifi accessible –Conveniently located on the street and near other restaurants –A hostin’ to live music some nights of the week –A servin’ of beer, wine, mimosas, coffee and tea Michelangelo’s is not: –Cheap –Very large But if you are looking for a fun coffee spot to hit up late at night while out on Broadway, this place is the best! Not the coffee shop I would want to frequent every day if I was studying and in school, but a great place to stop into once and a while. Happy beverage-a-drinkin’ everyone!

Michelangelo’s is my go to place for any type of meetings. I am particularly a fan of their Chai(they serve Bhakti) and they were one of the first places to recommend that I blend the sweet and spicy together(which is my absolute favorite). They also make their croissants from scratch so they are pretty amazing alone or with the breakfast sandwiches. As you can tell, I usually go there in the mornings and haven’t ever really visited during happy hour when they could be more crowded.

I went back for another get together with my friends and my experience this time was much better. They have an awesome special on Tuesday nights where you can get their bottles of wine for ½ off. So of course we purchased a couple of bottles to share. I wish I could remember what we got because the bottle I helped drink was really yummy and I’m not normally a huge fan of wine. I arrived early and enjoyed a bit of dinner and a mocha before they arrived and it was delish as well. Service was much faster this time as well. Will definitely go back for more meetings!

Perfect! {Although«perfect» is probably an overused word in my choice of recent vocabulary, I have to say that in this case, I mean it to its extent.} Best Neighbor/Friend(I’m lucky enough to have this two-for-one across my yard) and I finished a dinner at my favorite pizza place in Belmar a little earlier than expected. We had a benefit on S Broadway to attend but had a bit of time before it started.(It’s never cool to show up TOO early to those things unless you’re a volunteer… and since it was my birthday, I stepped away from my urge to work and celebrated instead). Dinner’s wine had us a tad sleepy so I suggested we grab coffee at Michelangelo’s to perk us up for the salon crowd we were about to be a part of. This was my first time as a guest in Michelangelo’s, but walking by I knew I’d enjoy it if the moment was right. And the moment was perfect(yup, there it is again, that word… again, to its extent). It turns out that 7pm on a Saturday is not a popular time for coffee shops as we were the only two in there. I actually looked for the sign to make sure they weren’t closed. The barista was happy to greet us though and quickly served us coffee in charming, eccentric mugs(a reflection of the atmosphere). I ordered my typical Soy Latte, but let me tell you: This was no typical Soy Latte. It was heart-warming and inviting and beyond what I imagined it could be. I’m not quite sure what was done differently here, but I may have tasted a hint of cinnamon… or nutmeg… or both — not just carelessly sprinkled on top… it seemed to be infused in the roast or the soy. At that first sip, I didn’t really care how it was done, just how it tasted and it was everything a birthday latte should be. To accompany the lovely sips of my bold yet inviting drink was a large slice of rich chocolate cake(suggested by our barista when I asked for dessert). This is one of my most favorite combinations: Chocolate cake and coffee. It’s tough to mess up, but Michelangelo’s really went above and beyond not messing it up. I could not have asked for a better thing to later be nauseous over(friends, co-workers, my birthday, charity event, shots for a good cause = stomach upset). This review is getting lengthy but I cannot leave out the comforting yet inspiring energy produced by the painting that adorns the north wall and the local artwork on the south wall. Another aspect I cannot leave out since it added to the night’s perfection: The local artist preparing to play that night(I’m assuming more of a crowd showed up for this). We got quite a treat when he decided to warm up with some chill music and commentary on the Eric Clapton covers he chose. My wine-turned-coffee buzz had me mesmerized by the sounds his fingers caused on his guitar strings to mix with his voice. I’ve walked by and seen Michelangelo’s packed full of music, coffee and wine patrons, so I’m hoping this guy got the crowd he deserved. I am very much looking forward to the next moment that opens up for me and this lovely little South Broadway experience.

My first time here I unfortunately went on a night when a singles’ event was going on; I can say the place was ten times noisier than when I went back a second time. It has a good, relaxed environment that I enjoy getting a glass of wine, and sitting down to write or read. They do have a good little selection of wines, mostly reds. It also has free wi-fi, which is never a bad thing. Parking can be weird, again because it is on Broadway, and to be honest, I came here after reading a Unilocal review, and it took about three turns around the block before I could even find the place, even though it is smack dab on Broadway. Probably not my first place for coffee, but good for wine.

Third day in a row that I’ve been coming here to study; different days of the week has its own flair for sure, one day is mellow filled with students, or filled with a group of foreign language meetup, like Monday is Italian and makes me feel like I’m somewhere in Italy and not Denver anymore, or filled with people enjoying a great conversation and their happy hour deals they have… I’ve came to the conclusion that I’m more productive and great ideas hit me when I’m having a drink or two; especially when I can enjoy a tasty dirty martini(Skyy or Tanquerai) for only $ 5 from 3pm-6pm, they have more booze deals on their website. They have bigger tables than your usual coffee shop around this area, great selection of coffee, and the best part… Pretty sized wine selection and great paninis. Had an artichoke salami Panini last night and it was really good, thinly sliced salami, chunks of artichoke hearts, few leaves, and stuffed in fresh bread. So good… Plus, you can either study or chat or do whatever inside our outdoors.

Service tends to be rude and snotty but if you go on Thursdays there are half price bottles of wine. The desserts are also pretty good here but overpriced. They have a lot of nice artwork on the walls that you can purchase as well.

I feel bad giving this place a 2 star review but really it’s just ok. Tired is the word that comes to mind, the place was just a tired little shop. Nothing extra special, maybe seen some better days. Came here after dinner and had a glass of wine with my friend. Nothing too crazy, I mean all she did was pour the wine and we sat and chatted. I over heard that they ran out of a lot of there food choice, ex: cheeses and 2 of the wines I wanted. I mean, that’s poor planning in my eyes, but that’s just me. It’s just ok. Both Go Fish and Spicy Basil were hopping but not this place. O well, not in a rush to head back.

I went here for an AM meeting… and liked the place at first glance! it’s cozy, inviting and my latte kicked ass. The barista was friendly and let me in before opening time! When my meeting concluded, I stayed longer to read the paper and finish up my drink. I only wish I had brought my lap top — free wifi(always a plus)!

What a great little shop tucked in the most awesome streach of Broadway! This is a great place to start or end a great day of thrift shopping and bargaining on Broadway. Personally, I like to start here rather than end, get my caffiene goin and possibly a sandwich or breakfast burrito. This might be a great place to end as well, considerirng the wine list is decent and you can order cheese plates and other small plates. I may have to do that some day! The service can tend to be slow, but that’s because the person you see working behind the counter, is the only person working at all. Your barista is your cook, busser, and server. Please be patient and do tip well, they deserve it.

What a nice place! I was pleasantly surprised by this coffee/wine bar. There was less food than I expected, but there was a comfy coffee house feel that was perfect for a new book club meeting. It was nice that there were plenty of interesting options for those who didn’t want to drink alcohol. Add the free wifi and friendly staff and I’m sold.

This place has a great vibe, both for solo laptopping, as well as catching up with a friend(two of my main reasons for going to a coffee shop). They also have a great happy hour special where you can get a glass of wine or freshly made sangria + an appetizer(such as the delicious cheese plate) for $ 10. A great inexpensive option for treating yourself to something nice!

I’d been here a while back when they had the Boulder Acoustic Society squished into a corner performing here. I had forgotten about this place until I met up with fellow Unilocal caffeiners Dave and Sherri here for some brew. Comfy seating, pleasant surroundings, and now a somewhat stabler surface for checkers or backgammon and my espresso and coffee thanks to Dave the handyman S. I had a double of espresso and a coffee. The espresso was served in a larger demitasse cup, not much crema, and the cup itself I would guess wasn’t warmed as the espresso wasn’t hot when I first tasted it at the counter. The espresso flavor was pretty good with just the slightest amount of bitterness. The cup of coffee was decent, could have been stronger but pretty good. Nice place, I’d go back.

This is a pretty chill spot. Lots of comfy couches, some small patio tables. The«bar» is pretty much a coffee counter and the wine list is available there at the counter(the coffee menu hangs over the counter). The wine is on the pricey side. $ 6 gets you a glass of the special wine of the day. Most glasses are $ 7 – 12 each(a little steep). Was here for a special event, «The Overdue Love Club: A singles happy hour for Intelligent people». Although the venue seemed quite small, it actually lent itself well to having a speaker and mingling activities. Michelangelo’s was closed to those not involved in the event. Like I said, this place is pretty pricey for me. I did like the atmosphere and might pop in again if in the area, but prob wouldn’t go out of my way to go here again.

I love this place. The décor(very European and inviting). The location. The coffee. The snacks. The people. The couches. The FREE Wi-FI. It’s everyhhting you could want in a coffee & wine bar. Did I just say coffee and wine? Yes, I did. Let’s ramp up to my favorite coffee shop ever that happens to be a wine bar. I had no idea. I would have been working here(in theory) all year long. They also have 1 large table for group meetings, or multiple laptops. I just love saying muliple. It’s awesome check it out. But if you see me, get off my couch ;)

Michelangelo’s is an upscale coffee bar, but I suppose that’s because they are also a wine bar. Either way, it’s a pretty charming place. They have lots of bistro-like tables and the barista on my last visit was completely adorable. She had a fairly heavy French accent and made a damn good americano. These two things combined caused me to develop a tremendously large girl crush on her. This place also serves salads and sandwiches among other breakfast and lunch items. And they had some really delicious looking sweets including chocolate covered apricots. The atmosphere was fairly quiet although they did play music in the background so if that bothers you this wouldn’t be a great place to work/study. But, it was just music, no words so I didn’t suffer any distractions.
