Great spot downtown. Happy hour is pretty good; their hot drinks are great on a cold winter day, especially their Irish Coffees. Food is pub fare type stuff, pretty tasty — Mac n’ cheese, chicken tenders(tempura batter), the pretzels, and the hummus are favorites.

Great neighborhood spot! Kate, Ashley and Tommy are the best! Fun local crowd, especially Stan. There is a guy Jason who’s a patron and can be annoying, but otherwise the place is enjoyable for all the neighbors.

This is the neighborhood«Cheers» where everybody knows your name. A favorite among many of my neighbors, their two-for-one Happy Hour is a good deal. The menus is very upscale pub grub. I’ve never been disappointed by anything on their menu; they do Calamari right, too. Burgers done medium-rare are perfect here. Service is top-notch, very attentive.

This review is for the bar area. Recently having moved to the area, we were so happy to find this spot. My boyfriend and I love coming here for their happy hour(2-for-1& happy hour food menu). It’s a very laid back place, with a good selection of beer and food. The service is great(we love the bartender) and the atmosphere is comfortable.

Food was pretty decent. We had the boneless fried chicken, NY strip, calamari app. The fried chicken and calamari needed some spice in the breading for sure. Both tasted very bland and no flavor really. I had to get more gravy to drowned the blandness. Also way too many onions on the mashed potatoes, so be cautious if you don’t like a ton of onions. The steak was really good on the other hand and cook just the way we asked, medium. However the mashed potatoes didn’t come with gravy and we thought that was odd as the mashed potatoes are once again pretty plain, tasted like plain potatoes. We got some gravy to fix that. The server was great but slow as all hell. Not his fault really. He had tables all over the place inside and outside. Really didn’t make any sense with the size of that place. Like it seemed like they had enough servers to break it up in manageable sections. Overall I’ll probably go back but only for drinks.

This was the worst experience I have ever had here… Not only were the dishes dirty and flies in the dining area but the service was AWFUL. There are too many other options in Denver to waste your time here…

Food is spectacular! Their menu is huge and has everything from salads to burgers, a ton of different sandwiches and entrees. Everything they serve has so many components to it which I appreciate. I love their blackened salmon and asparagus salad, fish and chips, and fried green tomato BLT. They also have great appetizers and an awesome happy hour. The atmosphere relaxing and comfortable. Staff is so friendly and they have a great beer selection.

Great place, highly recommend it. I went for happy hour with friends, and the drink specials are super cheap. I also tried the lamb meatballs, guac, and sliders — all were amazing. The chicken tenders were a little over-battered and super oily. The service is fast and top notch. I also like the sitting area, where they have comfy leather couches. All in all, a great place to hang out, eat, drink, catch a game, and super cheap.

McLoughlin’s has a really nice atmosphere– cozy but not too cramped. When we were being seated the host was very thoughtful and asked us if we were here to watch any of the sports games so he could seat is accordingly/change a TV for us. The serving staff was very nice, a few times they seemed over busy and forgot to refill our drinks– but they were easy to call over. The food is amazing. I ordered the Bacon Green Chili Mac and Cheese– it is to die for! Spicy but not too spicy, tons of cheese, and baked to perfection. My friend ordered the Fish and Chips and had to take some home because they give you so much. The next time I stop by Denver this place will definitely be on my list of places to eat!

Went there for lunch and had the Brioche Grilled Cheese with Tomato Artichoke Soup. Didn’t care for anything on the plate. Bland and uninspired(didn’t live up to the name). Marginal service and the place had a bad smell — stale beer and ammonia. Won’t be back.

The atmosphere is very welcoming and nicely designed. The drinks are well priced and there are enough Tvs for everyone to enjoy. The salmon BLTA was absolutely delicious! The fish was fresh and the avocado really brought out the flavor. If you’re looking for a awesome atmosphere I highly recommend coming here.

I’ve done a happy hour or two here, and have generally enjoyed it(super convenient), but my most recent sit-down left me not wantin’ to come back for a bit. Nothin’ wrong with the service, and the drinks are poured stiff– the problem was the floor manager condescending the staff at full volume, swearing(not at them, but swearing), and using the most patronizing, offensive tone. The body language of the staff during this little exchange(that I had to wait for before my server could come over) told the whole story, and points to the real issue: that type of thing seeps into the service and can trickle down to the customer. It’s the precise opposite of what I’m sure she thought she was accomplishing. Even when my server came over, I asked, «Yo, is that your manager or something?» and without anything further the server replies, «Yeah, sorry about that.» The server had to apologize for the manager, embarrassed by the«leader’s» behavior! It was unreal. I just shook my head, ordered some drinks, and left them a dope tip. Hope upper management is reading: Please embed some true leadership strategies in this person. I was so bummed havin’ to sit and listen to five employees get chided at the start of the shift– which means they couldn’t have made mistakes yet– and berated for what the previous shift forgot to do. At the very least, do that *ish behind a closed door, please. It put a damper on my experience, and definitely affected the serving staff.

This place is a Riverfront Park institution, and I’ll never understand why. Hell over the years they’ve even expanded. If your idea of a good time is very expensive bar food paired with equally expensive bar drinks then this is the place for you. It has a strange fake Irish pub meets crappy suburban bar vibe. The only thing keeping this from being a one star review is that the patio is kind of nice in the summer. The food is low-end bar food. The presentation is. nice. I suppose, but these are poorly executed burgers and sandwiches I’d expect to pay $ 5 in a dive on Colfax. When things are coming in at more than twice that, you just have to be better. Beyond that this place is a huge miss. One that just won’t go away. Given the limited retail spots available in Riverfront Park I can confidently say that the residents here deserve so much more than this.

Best lunch experience ever ! We came on lunch; ordered burgers and a cheese philly sandwich. Wait time was quiet long but it was definitely worth. Portions are pretty big and they come 1,0000 French fries !!! Prices are okay and affordable . Thanks guys,

We went on the 4th of July after the fireworks at the Rockies stadium. It was late and they were slammed. The server threw professionalism to the wind and, in an effort to make up for her service, explained that she’d been working there since that morning. I’m sure that she stopped caring long before my party of six walked in. To be honest, none of us really wanted to be at McLoughlin’s either. We already walked around the congested streets of Denver after the fireworks looking for a bar that struck our fancy. We tried to get on the train when we finally gave up but the train was packed to capacity. We went to McLoughlin’s because we needed a place to kill time before going home. So when the server was uncaring and surly toward us our moods were only slightly better than hers. After all, we could sit down and drink beer. We seated ourselves at an outdoor table in a fenced in area. We had a nice view of the river walk(or whatever it is). We ordered beers and cider and maybe a little snack. I nodded off and nobody said anything. That’s a first at any bar or restaurant. I’ve never been to an eating or drinking establishment where they allowed patrons to sleep. I can’t imagine that McLoughlin’s customarily allows people to sleep but I suspect that the overworked server simply didn’t care enough to say anything. The décor at McLoughlin’s was Irish and homey. There were many nooks and crannies, wood, and a pervasive feeling of Irish. I imagine that it is normally a fun place if you’re in the mood and are lucky to have a cheerful server.

A new years day lunch was to be had especially since I was working. Three of us took a long lunch and ventured over the bridge to McLoughlins. At a little past 11am on Monday we were almost the only ones in the place. I feel as though it’s a complete oversight that this is the first time I’ve been here. The menu is classic pub food, salads, sandwiches, burgers and the like. We opted to share an order of Brushetta, classic with mozzarella and pesto on top of sliced French bread. After hearing the special for the day, a steak sandwich with a Greek twist I decided on the special and instead of fries I opted for a side of Creamy Tomato Artichoke soup. The steak was cooked perfectly medium, not easy when making a sandwich. The bread and all the toppings made for a delicious New years day lunch. The highlight of the meal was the Creamy Tomato Artichoke soup. How could a soup taste so divine? The artichoke gives a bite to an otherwise run of the mill soup. I could eat an gallon of this soup and still want more. Don’t tell anyone, shh! I want there to be soup for my next visit.
