Came here for a quick bite with the fam and it was great. They have a nice selection of healthy drinks and food. We got pizzas and quiche. Very good!

I live fairly close to Maci Café and I usually head down there to grab coffee when I’m working from home. My biggest issue with Maci is the customer service. Every time I’ve come in, I’m never been greeted. I’m not expecting the staff to roll out the red carpet, just a simple«Hello» or «Welcome» would be nice. I’m hesitant to return when I can get similar or better coffee in much friendlier locations.

It’s small and adorable with a nice patio that is wonderful on a sunny day. The coffee is good and the food smells like it can keep up with the quality their baristas produce.

Great espresso. Very friendly staff. Prosciutto, parmesan, and arugula sandwich was great, but a little small for $ 8. I would definitely put this place at $$ due to portion size. I will be back.

This place is amazing. If you like real Italian meats, Cheeses and coffee this place is for you. The owner is usually always there he is straight from Italy so he knows his stuff. he seems to take great pride in his little coffee shop. It is little though and easy to miss but it’s worth the extra circle around the block if you miss it.

My friends and I stumbled on Maci Café a few months ago and I’ve been making it a go-to lunch spot since then. The panninis might be the best in Denver, the salads are great and the coffee drinks are the best… There are beautiful Italian-inspired paintings(for sale) on the walls… there is a lot of attention to small detail that make this place a special spot… It’s small but there is a wonderful outdoor patio.

Favorite local coffee spot! Coconut milk and almond milk is available which is awesome. The baristas are always so nice and welcoming. They even have a David Bowie drink list.

Visiting from out of town. Cool and engaging atmosphere. Well executed coffee drinks. Excellent service. Both the counter server and the barista were awesome to us. One of the best paninis I’ve ever eaten.

Husband and I stopped in to this small(26ish seats inside, plus patio) on a whim. The music is amazing, and included Cream and Depeche Mode. He ordered the pisello panini(pancetta, mustard, and greens) and I ordered [forgot the name](prosciutto, goat cheese, fig jam, and greens). The food was amazing. The ingredients were fresh and high quality. The flavors in the sandwiches were well-balanced and the portions were perfect. They also have a full coffee bar, and the Bowie-tribute drink I am finishing [again, sorry, names] topped with truffle chocolate dust is divine.

Maci is the best italian style cafè you can find in Denver. By far the best toasted paninis I’ve tried. I always go there whenever I can for lunch. Also make sure to enjoy its famous espresso before you leave.

This is by far my favorite café in the highlands area. I have never been disappointed and the food, drinks and service are excellent. Highly recommended!

Almost walked right past the place. Glad I didn’t. Reading the menu, you know you’re in for a treat. I had the«really?» Seemed different to have pastrami, chèvre, pesto, and cucumber. It was a delightful balance of signature flavors. Great, choice, deli. Well done Maci Café. Thank you.

Great little place to stop for coffee and treats! I stopped here while wondering around LoHi on a hot afternoon and it hit the spot! I needed something cold and strong and the barista suggested their cold brew. I’m not quite a hipster so I haven’t hopped on the cold brew train yet but that with a touch of cream and one pump mint syrup was perfection. They have a nice little patio where you can enjoy a drink, salad, sandwich, what have you. Plus the owner is a paisano so I like to think I’m supporting my people(plus Italians know how to make a mean macchiato), I will definitely be back next time I’m in LoHi.

I came here twice during our brief stay in Denver. This place is incredible. The sandwiches we ordered made me feel like I was back in Florence, Italy. They were SO good! It was such a great find(via Unilocal). What a great little coffee shop/café. If you haven’t been yet and are debating whether you should– do it :) Yummy coffee and lattes as well!

Good iced coffee to enjoy on their patio. Really big lunch menu that sounded good for my next visit.

FOODISSOYUMMY. I had the angi panini, and it’s like typical Italian style panini so at first I was skeptical but that was dispelled at the first bite. Amazing combination of flavored. It wasn’t too filling and it wasn’t meager portions, it was literally the perfect amount of sandwich. The pineapple on the side was fresh and delicious. The cashier was so friendly. This is a great little spot!

I love the renovation that was recently completed and the name change fits the modern Italian styling inside. A nod to the owner’s Ducati is on the wall with the number«848» and asymmetric racing stripes on the tables. Italian coffees and extensive panini options adorn the menu board. The food here is really good and the coffee is always hot, fresh, and flavorful. It’s one of my favorite coffee shops in Denver.

Wonderful place for a cup of coffee and panini sandwich. I stopped in on a Sat morning after going to the gym. The café latte was creamy and delicious even without adding and sugar, and the panini reminded me of being in Italy. I will definitely go back for breakfast again.

Shangri-la is a tasty little place to grab a quick bite. They are now called Maci’s by the way. The customer service is good and they have a lot of healthy menu options. Menu items are reasonably priced. It’s a pretty small café though 30 people max could fit in here.

This may not be a fair review for which I didn’t want to put down star ratings but Unilocal forced me to… I visited this café as part of the Denver Gourmet Food Tour of the Highlands. We were invited in to taste their paninis that won the Westword award for best in its category or something. Too bad the panini was not my cup of tea! And too bad they didn’t offer any coffee samples, I mean, what was that?
