I was diagnosed with prostrate cancer 3 ½ years ago by Dr. Snyder. I can not begin to thank him enough for the outstanding care I received. He was always there for me and the only time I had an appointment that I did not see him was when he got called into emergency surgery. He also does something many doctors don’t do and that is he returns phone calls and follows up to see how you are doing. Anyone lucky enough to get Dr. Snyder is truly blessed. He treats you like a friend. Also his office staff is wonderful. His office manager, Ella, became a friend. I would recommend Dr. Snyder to anyone. One other thing about Dr. Snyder. if there is something wrong he will find a way to work you into his schedule. Not many doctors do that anymore.

Well, FINALLY an experienced doctor who knows his stuff, especially about FEMALE urology. Holy cow — so many gynecologists(including my own former doc) think they can practice urology. They can’t, just like a heart surgeon can’t practice plastic surgery. I’ve been in pelvic pain for so long, including urgency and frequency, wearing embarrassing pads and still leaking. After an initial consult, diagnosis and non-invasive procedure, I have been dry and pain free for over 4 months. My husband is now seeing him for early stage prostate cancer. Dr. Snyder has excellent credentials, funny East Coast humor, and tremendous years of experience. He’s changed my life.

I had three visits to this guy’s office and never saw him once. Instead, I was shuffled off to the PA. I went seeking help with prostate issues, the PA performed a DRE, then prescribed a month long treatment of heavy antibiotics. After a month, my intestinal tract was a complete wreck and my condition no better. The follow up was again with the PA, this time the recommendation went from a) more antibiotics to b) cystoscopy to c) biopsy. I had an elevated PSA which on re-test went down 1.4 points. Solely on the strength of one elevated PSA score on one test, this guy was ready to send me down the conveyor belt of a biopsy. The biopsy in this case carries significant risk, about 100,000 patients a year are hospitalized afterwards, some die from sepsis. This procedure has been found to be unnecessary in many cases and even the discoverer of the PSA antigen, Richard J. Ablin, wrote an op-ed in the New York Times saying the medical profession was misusing the test. I went back to my primary care physician, who was aghast at the 30 days of antibiotics and the knee-jerk«get a biopsy». He ordered up a battery of test including Free PSA, Testosterone, PCA-3, and others. Re-test of PSA showed a significant drop, Free PSA showed risk to be in the 15% range, still waiting on PCA-3. It should tell you all you need to know about this doctor that the primary care physician is more thorough than the so-called specialist. I am now following up with another urologist who is a recognized international expert, with a first class web site, who does not use the biopsy test, and does not rely solely on the PSA test for his diagnosis. Run as far away from this paint-by-number pill pusher as you can, he is not practicing responsible medicine.

I had the worst experience. First of all, I never even got to see Dr.Snyder. Not sure why I would pay a copay to see his assistant. Anyways, this was by far the worst experience I’ve had with a Dr.‘s office. Horrible! Try the Dr.‘s at The University of Colorado before going to this office.

We had a horrible experience with Dr Snyder. I don’t really want to get into all the details but he made a diagnosis that was called into question by our main doctor, another doctor, and a resident. So naturally we got a second opinion from a different urologist. Next time we see Dr Snyder he says«hey, remember me? I’m the doctor you fired» and not in a joking way – he was pissed. He then went on about how his original diagnosis was correct instead of actually addressing the issue at hand. Bottom line is this guy has a huge ego, is very unprofessional, and doesn’t know his stuff. I would advise anyone to stay away – he seems far more concerned about protecting his little fiefdom than caring for patients.
