Love it. The ‘artisan Mod Market’ description fits it well, though I will say Carrot Lemonade takes artisan a step or two beyond the cliff I stand on. Fairly good value and solid service. The fried chicken is better than that of places that specialize in it.

The food was nicely prepared and came out very quickly. It felt markedly clean and healthy compared to almost any other restaurant in town. Even the farm-to-table places usually go heavy on sauces and salt for flavor, but these plates really focused on the meat and vegetables’ true flavors.(Not boring, though! Think roasted carrots, deeply caramelized & concentrated, roasty flavor. Chicken breast cooked perfectly juicy on a light, garlicky green purée.) Service was friendly and quick, no nonsense but felt genuinely warm.

Honor Society reminds me of a basic«ModMarket” — farm fresh home style cooking where the majority of dishes are not memorable. I had the gluten free fried chicken, mashed sweet potatoes and roasted vegetables. Portions were perfect but the flavor left something to be desired. The crispness and cook of the fried chicken was perfect, but was wildly under seasoned. The spicy sauce served with the chicken was good but could use a tad more heat and sweet. The sweet potato purée was incredibly creamy but unfortunately bland. The vegetables were surprisingly perfectly roasted and seasoned. This place has all the components of being incredible if they just had an attitude about their food. They have the technique just not the flavor. I’m undecided if I’ll go back.

We were regulars here for 2 months. Within the past few weeks, their quality and consistency has dramatically decreased. Whatever turmoil is going on behind the scenes has impacted their business. We used to love this place, now they are out of beer, their pizza tastes different(and cooked poorly), and their staff don’t seem to care. Whatever they were doing before worked well. We will try back in a month to see if anything has changed for the better. If so, I will update this review. Businesses make mistakes, management and ownership changes… I get it. It just cannot be evident to regular customers. The weak link(s) must be strengthened; otherwise customers will not return.

Holy mother of fried chicken. Hands down the best I’ve had in Denver but this isn’t a fried chicken joint — it’s more comprehensive than that, but I would say they serve up nicely plated, well portioned hearty meals. Enjoyed fried chicken, smashed sweet potatoes and roasted veggies — homerun. Great dining experience — rush during lunch meant very fresh food. Their salads and za looked good too. Looked like a nice bar probably ideal for HH or dinner.

I really like this concept, similar to Modern Market, just wish that the food was consistently better and prices more reasonable. Food — some great, some not. Last time I had the«italian» pizza with pepperoni and garlic. It was awesome, some of the best pizza in town. The crust is thin and crispy, nice yeasty flavor. The sauce is tart and flavorful. My wife had a salad(don’t remember the name)…and it was no better than a homemade salad. Green, tomatoes, radish, carrots, chicken… and the dressing(with mint) not so great either. You go out and pay $ 12 for salad to get something you won’t make at home. This was not it. Prices — they charge $ 8 – 10 for a glass of wine. I’m sorry, but that’s absurd!!! These are fine dining restaurant prices, not a casual eatery. $ 3 – 4 is a fair price. I may or may not come back… if I do, it’s pizza all the way.

This is the first time I’ve had to add protein to a $ 15 salad that already had protein on it. The greens were fine, but I didn’t know I had to add salmon by the nugget! Add some protein on the salad and maybe you’ll add more customers. Check my photo, it’s the one with the two quarters over the salmon(nugget). Ridiculous!

Went here for a light midday vegetarian offering, and was not disappointed! The roasted vegetable kale salad was just what the doctor ordered, but a bit pricy IMO($ 11). The ambience at HS feels simultaneously modern and rustic– faux reclaimed wood and tin siding accompanying flat screen TVs depicting tomatoes being picked, carrots being chopped, aka slow-mo hand grazing the tops of some wheat on a breezy day– that sort of thing. It all works very well and almost makes you forget you’re only steps away from 16th street. Almost.

I was expecting the equivalent of tender greens, this place has a similar concept. Ordered fried chicken with mashed potatoes. Chicken– Portions were reasonable for what they charged. Crispy, juicy and well seasoned. Mashed potatoes — made from sweet potatoes, meh. I did like the«to-go» bag that comes with a take out order. Not as good as tasty as tender greens, but worth checking out.

Wish other places were more like this offering healthy choices for someone with a whole foods plant based diet, while also having meat options. Robust vegetarians and vegan options, love it!

Honor Society was the first place that Unilocal asked ‘is this place hipster?’ and I think it might be, a little bit. I like the idea here, but it was curiously empty at dinner time. My girlfriend and I had a Salmon sandwich and a Kale pizza(which was our favorite bite.) I think the real standout of the meal was the flavored lemonades and teas — the carrot lemonade was awesome. We also really, really liked the roasted Brussels Sprouts. I appreciate the variety on offer here, so I’ll be back to try some other stuff.

I’m a long time costumer to honor society. Love their beet root salad with grilled chicken. However, I got a take out today. The salad is not even half full, with a very small proportion of grilled chicken and 4 pieces of beet root. Is the place slacking now after a few months of opening? I think so. Honor society features a very simple menu. Their selling point to me are fresh ingredients and generous proportion. It’s a shame to see they no longer keep up with their promises.

I went to Honor Society during the week and three of us had great salads. I went back today(Saturday) to find that they serve a limited menu on the weekends. It was Very limited and disappointing! We all got the Caesar salad and added chicken, which was a good thing as the salad was basically Romaine lettuce with a few croutons and a trace of Parmesan cheese. Not very satisfying! We ordered the salads to go(we were the only customers in the restaurant) and the order took forever! They«cooks» prepared food for their employees, sat down to eat themselves and finally made our salads! And considering what went into the salad, we should have had ours in no more than a few minutes! It was very disappointing and I will not return on a weekend, and maybe not at all! I had such high hopes!

Yo, lotta’ perks when you’re happy hourin’ at this joint: in close proximity to several Denver skate spots, super dope wifi password, plenty of options for the Booze Challenge(if you don’t know, better ax somebody). Standout element, though– I ordered something thinking it was simply hummus and veggies(The Farmer), and a whole pizza with hummus and veggies came to me. Now, I’m GF-as-all-get-out, so that pie ain’t workin’ for me, and even though it was entirely my overlook/mistake, homies straight carried it away and came back with just veggies and hummmus. He’s like, «Sorry, it ain’t much,» and I’m like, «Yo, this exactly what I wanted.» No up-charge; no guff. I know I ain’t the only clown to misorder, but they handled me with grace and class, and it’s a trademark of quality customer service. I promised to pay it forward, so a five star Unilocal(while also wholly authentic) is the least I can do. Final notes: they gots CapRock gin, the GF pizza is on point, and if you ever jus’ waitin’ for a hot date and wanna sip cocktails with mild kombucha(mild, mind you) while catchin’ up on skate videos, this yo’ jam. Get at this spot.

Updated review. I was convinced to give Honor Society another try after a manager reached out to me, and so I went in a few months later. If you’re the kind of person that likes to read the last page of a book first, then I’ll save you some time and say that I’m bumping my review to 3 stars, however while I want to give HS4 stars, it just didn’t work out. I went during lunch before rush hour on a weekday, around 11:30. When I first arrived, there wasn’t a line which was nice, but the menu was in a corner at eye level and a sign that maybe should have been outside was in front of it, blocking about half the menu. There’s no line, but the glass height between you and the food is confusing as it’s slightly higher than a place like Chipotle but not high enough to make you think you’re separated from the people working and making food. So I stand around for a bit waiting to be helped by the woman that’s working ignoring me until I get her hint that she isn’t the one helping me with my order. A simple«hi welcome to HS, you order over there» would have been nice but oh well. I recall from looking at the menu that they do meals based on the protein you pick, so whether you get the chicken/salmon/etc, it’s the same price whether you get the salad or the main dish(some sides extra and salads dont come with sides). I go up to the cashier who is friendly and says hi, and I ask for a drink suggestion. I end up getting the Mint Cucumber drink($ 3) and the grilled chicken meal with sweet potatoes and vegetables($ 12). The cashier smiles and says thanks but is pretty brief there being no line. While waiting for my food I use the restroom and on my way pass by the kitchen and bar. Both have big tubs sitting out filed with different types of fresh food that employees are working with. This by far was my favorite part, as everything looks fresh and smelled fresh. There is no doubt in my mind that HS is probably as close to fresh as it gets in Denver. I get back and my food is ready. They give it to me in a tote bag. Huh? Idk if this is normal for them or what but I’m sure they know it’s not the norm so an explanation might have been nice. Anyway, most important part. Food is pretty good. Chicken is tasty and fresh, but not earth shattering. The sweet potatoes are the best I’ve had in a long time and I’m pretty sure I’ll go back just for them in the future. Veggies are so-so, fresh but not really tasty. The mint cucumber drink is good, it’s pretty sweet but still enjoyable. Short summary? Employees are somewhat friendly. Food is super fresh. Sweet potatoes are amazing. Rest of the food and drink I’ve tried is good. But $ 15 for a lunch I’m not totally impressed with when I can go to a half dozen other places within 3 blocks for less money and be just as happy if not happier is a hard sell for me.

Short rib, creamy mashed sweet potatoes, and Caesar salad for $ 12.75? I’m game. This meal was great, but the vibe in the place was weird. Brunch had just finished up in the rest of the restaurant, and it was unusually quiet in there. Multiple people working behind the bar and they were all very unfriendly. Also saw two employees yell at each other in the back. Awkward and uncomfortable. My fiancé and I sat at the bar, which we fault ourselves for doing. We never really had an official server checking in on us, and felt stuck in «limbo». My fiancé ordered the chicken, and it came out cold. The server handled the situation well. Overall good healthy food but I am not eager to go back.

Obsessed with the food. The roasted veggies are so delicious, without an eggplant or mushroom in sight. Onions, carrots, burssels, beets… roasted with the perfect amount of char. I always get the mashed sweet potatoes, roasted veggies, and another side.$ 10-something, which kind of feels pricey for a plate of veggies but it’s a lot of food, I take some home or leave stuffed. I do think their cocktails are way overpriced. at $ 9 – 11.

This place is wonderful — its a healthy quick option that is ideal for my lunch hour. I work in the building above honor society and love that we have something so delicious so close to our building. I have come here for lunch a few times and have never been disappointed. Honor Society puts a different twist on the idea of fast casual. They have hot and cold plate options where you choose your protein and sides or you can order a salad, sandwich or flat bread. My favorites so far have been the grilled chicken sandwich and the beet salad with chicken — seeing a chicken theme? Hehe. The bread the sandwiches is served on is absolutely amazing — crusty on the outside and doughy on the inside. The staff is great — super friendly and efficient. They usually have someone wandering around to check to make sure your food tastes good and asking if you need anything. Your food comes up within 10mins of ordering which makes it perfect for a quick lunch. Definitely can’t wait to come back. You guys are doing a great job!

I work in Lodo and was super excited when Honor Society opened. I can walk to Honor Society in under 5 minutes and if I show up at 11:00 am I can beat all the lines and get my food pretty quick. I really enjoyed the Caesar Salad with grilled steak and cashew Caesar dressing($ 14). The portion of steak was generous and was cooked perfectly and still moist. The dressing tasted like an authentic Caesar dressing and if they hadn’t told me it was made with cashews I would have never known. I have also enjoyed the Seasonal Salad with roasted vegetables($ 12.75) and it was piled high with local roasted vegetables, heirloom tomatoes and watermelon radish with a refreshing vinaigrette. One of the only things preventing me from making this a weekly lunch location is the price point. Everything is a little high for lunch at a fast casual place where I order at a counter. Let’s do some math: Base Salad is $ 9.75, add roasted vegetables or chicken for $ 3.00, add steak or salmon for $ 4.25. If you want a drink it’s a minimum of $ 3.25 or as high as $ 8.25 for a smoothie. That’s a spendy lunch location. I like Honor Society and will venture back from time to time however I would like to see the price point revisited.

So here’s the scoop, I went here for the first time this evening… I ordered the chia seed fried chicken(gluten free) with the sides of sweet mashed potatoes and watermelon, mint, arugula, feta salad($ 11.50). I also ordered a glass of the petite syrah($ 9) to accompany my dinner. I have to say, the food was pretty good and I would rate 4⁄5 for the food quality, taste, presentation, amount of food, cost, etc; however, I was very disappointed with my glass of wine. Not only did I get a very small pour, the wine did not taste good at all and I wonder how many days it had been opened for… 1⁄5 on the wine. Yuck. Overall I would give 3⁄5 for my meal. If I decided to try the Honor Society again I would skip the drink and just get the food.
