Previously I had left a raving review for Highland Cork and Coffee. And while I do still agree with the sentiment of the review, I have since decided that not having the ability to enjoy the establishment far trumps the enjoyment of the ambiance and fare. Tonight marks the fourth time I have either walked through the doors only to be turned away or walked up to the doors only to find out they are closed, both during hours they are supposed to be open. On the occasions when I have the ability to cross the threshold I am usually greated with rudeness, as was the case tonight. I adore Cork and Coffee, but my interest in it has begun to wane and I am starting to become disenchanted with it. So sad!

Best Chai Tea and Breakfast Burritos in Denver! My favorite place to visit whenever I’m in town.

Really homey little place, with a big patio and friendly baristas. Service that is not necessarily«slow,» but definitely laid back. I didn’t have any food, just coffee. I didn’t try to use the internet either. I just liked the feel of the place…

Great coffee and friendly service. I’m visiting Denver for work and really happy that I stumbled upon this place. I will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

Slow and small portions. Came in at 8:30 am thinking I could grab a quick breakfast as there were only a dozen or so people total. Breakfast tacos took a long time and were mostly tortilla — 1 egg split between two tacos and a half piece of bacon on each. Tasty, but not worth the $ 9. I’ll pass on this place in the future.

First time here. The food & java this morning were EXCEPTIONAL. We split an AM panini. The only reason I’m giving it 3 Stars is because on our way out and around the block, we heard the owner screaming at the cook, who apparently had had it with the situation. We witnessed the pre-bicker in the café over turkey sausage and floppy bacon for a 3 year old(WTF?). Spats between owners and kitchen staff are NOT uncommon in this biz. If the owner demands professionalism of her employees, she should do the same and not lose it out back in public where customers walk by. I’d say both of you need to chill out. But we will be back.

Today the food was just perfect. I had a cheese omelette with chili peppers and Spanish sausage with wheat toast. Done to perfection. My other half had a Tuscan panini. She said it was the best she ever had. I found a new favorite place in Highlands 32nd area I used to just walk by. Not any more. The live music outside was a nice touch.

The ambiance is nice. There’s a lot of artwork look at & the seating is cozy. My build-your-own omelet was excellent! It looked great and tasted even better. As another reviewer noted, the wait seemed long. I’d eat here again.

If you come to visit with friends or read a book then the patio is lovely for that. But if you go to get work done good luck. The Internet almost never works. If it does it cuts out and takes 10 min to work again. Food is pretty good, coffee is good too. But the servers only ever seem to be nice when the owner is around(I assume she is the owner because she is the nicest and works the hardest). If she is off(as owners do deserve days off too) the staff acts as though you are a huge inconvenience. They are annoyed to even ask you if you want your drink iced or hot. So if you go without the intention of needing Internet and you don’t care about rude people taking your order. Then you’re in luck. On a positive note if you want a nice patio to sit on with your puppy this place is it!

The Good * Beautiful patio with nice big tables * The panini — a half size is a pretty big * Happy hour The Not-So-Good * The wifi — we come here often and the wifi is almost never working * The prices — the drinks are expensive, the breakfast bagels are expensive($ 1.00 upcharge to add a spread), the homemade granola/yogurt is expensive * Some of the food is just meh. The only thing that has«wowed» me was the panini. But it’s expensive, and comes with a small bag of Lays. Maybe they could offer some options for sides or at least a variety of chips.

My favorite local coffee shop. Great big outdoor patio and very dog friendly! Servers always bring my pup some treats and give him attention which he LOVES. Plus, a killer Bhakti chai and coffee, breakfast, and tapas. Inside is cozy and cutely decorated in local art and vintage furniture. Support our local businesses and skip Starbucks!

Beautiful establishment, great food and coffee. However DONOT come here on Wednesday afternoons as they have 40+ screaming toddlers running around while a woman plays guitar, completely ruining any vibe and causing indescribable chaos. 25 minute wait for a cup of coffee is unacceptable.

Let me start with the positives. + Music. Relaxing. Enjoyable. + Patio. Great view from the front. Good people watching on a Sunday morning. + Overall ambiance. Coffee house beatnik vibe. + Green chile on the burrito. + The food was tasty. The neutral. 0 Prices. Good for the breakfast burrito. A tad high for the breakfast bagel. The negatives. — Slow service. 25 minutes to get 2 items. We were not in a hurry, but it still felt very slow.

The sandwiches are awesome. I also like how they have wine too. Their wifi is decent. The coffee never«wows» me like other places but the food makes up for that!

First of all, the ambience. Super relaxed and filled with smiles. It’s a house turned restaurant that maintained the homey feel. It’s a great place to bring your dog too! The owners are SO nice and love dogs. They always come out with a treat(and a good one) as they deliver your food. You can work on the patio all day and nobody will haggle you. As for the food, the tacos were amazing. The owners developed a special Texas recipe that was absolutely spectacular. My breakfast burrito this morning was awesome too!

Oh man-oh man-oh-man-oh-man– oh man. Now, I may be pumped to write this review simply because I finished a double cubano but let’s move on to the meat of this incredible local-coffee-shop-sandwich. Cork and Coffee was the first place I visited in the Highlands after moving to Denver and I’m glad for that. I think this shop embodies what makes the Highlands such a special Denver community. Nestled in a street-side home, cork and coffee’s style is warm, welcoming, eclectic and a touch artisan. Their drink menu is vast and delicious. Their food menu is unique and tasty. Their staff is inviting, knowledgeable and laid-back(in a good way). I highly recommend you check this place out for a lunch spot between meetings, a drink stop with friends or a cozy place away from home to hangout/work/drink and love Denver in.

Today when I drove past the packed patio at Highlands Cork & Coffee, I was inspired to write this review. And compelled to say this place is… not good. It’s cute enough and they seem to offer everything — nice patio, coffee, breakfast, wine, mimosas, happy hour — but the food is not impressive. I ordered a breakfast burrito and I would almost swear it was one of those frozen microwaveable things. And if it wasn’t, it sure tasted like one. Not worth it.

Update: Their burritos I’d been eyeing were indeed delicious! Definitely the most food for your money. They’re pretty hearty, and only $ 4.50(bacon, salsa, and sour cream are all a little extra on top of that, though it doesn’t need anything extra). Their omelettes are in that same price range and also a good size and come with a little toast and jelly. They are flavored with herbs for a nice touch. Try it with goat cheese instead of American! Also, finally got around to trying their pastries as well after stopping in here every day for almost a week while vacationing in Denver(the staff even knew my name by the time I returned home!). Yum. Ask for them to be heated up a little. Their scones are soft and squishy and come in a lot of different flavors(peach almond is my favorite!) And this place is also home to the best cinnamon role I have ever had. They are also open on New Year’s day, unlike a lot of places. Thank goodness for that!

Terrible. Stop with the microwaving. I want my money back. Coulda gone to Taco Bell. Soggy tortilla, cold potatoes, other slop, shoved into the microwave. Wouldn’t be such a shock other than I spent $ 9+ on a microwaved burrito and a tea.
