Herbalism Roots – Herbal Apothecary and Herbalism School

Ahhh-​MAZING! I had a Mind, Body, Spirit Renewal by two of the most loving and sweet herbies. The second I was greeted, I knew I was in good care! I filled out a questionnaire that helps them to make your FLOWER ESSENCE TINCTURE to take home (yahooo)! They also asked me what my intention was for my session (mine was to «re-​balance & reset»), and it really helped to guide my session in my own mind and just the entire energy in the room.
The session itself, started with some visualization to relax me, followed by a whole lot of even MORE relaxing things! Thai hot compresses, singing bowls, plant brushing, oh my! LOL
I really did leave my Mind, Body, Spirit Renewal session feeling renewed and refreshed! It’s not often that we get an hour in a day or even in a week, to check out and let go of the craziness in our lives-​THIS is the perfect way to do just that.

I am a student with the Herbalism Roots program and have also studied massage on the same campus. Like the massage program the herbal program is amazing, the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, and they provide a hands on learning experience throughout the entire curriculum. During the course we learned through in class lecture, group work, and experiential learning (through numerous trips — camping, plant-​identification walks in the city and national parks etc.) and concluded with a school sale where students were able to get a taste of what it is like to produce, market, and sell the product (s) we created. Students study in the school’s apothecary on site where we learn how to handle all of the products safely, and see clients for consultations.
I highly recommend this school, not only for Herbalism Roots but all of the courses and community classes offered, to anyone interested in complementary or alternative medicine, or self-​care. Plus the student services are competitively priced and there really is no other place like it.

The Herbal apothecary and the related services at Herbalism School are all outstanding. I had a walk-​in consultation and received a custom tea blend to address exactly what needed to be addressed with me. I loved the tea, even went back for more. I also purchased their own brand essential oils as well as bulk herbs. The staff, Martin and Kim are phenomenal — so knowledgeable, kind, patient and understanding. The atmosphere is peaceful and serene. The prices for individual sessions are outstanding and prices for herbs and essential oils is very competitive.
