Great drinks. Great appetizers. Sushi was a little off but it was my first time here so not gonna bash them. Servers were fantastic. Sushi chefs were drinking beer and on their phones several times so that wasn’t good to witness.

My fiancée and I were pretty disappointed with the food. We went for lunch and ordered some sushi rolls that fell apart when we picked them up with our chopsticks. We also ordered sushi maki which was basically blended fish in a sheet of seaweed. When our waitress picked up our mostly uneaten dishes she didn’t ask what we thought or anything, although based on how little we ate it was clear. Not a great eating experience and will not return.

Very nice restaurant in Cherry Creek with good service and a nice atmosphere. We had 3 different rolls and they were fresh and tasty. I will return!

Disgusting taste. Poor quality and freshness. Terrible preparation. Low Class. This is without question the worst Sushi I have ever had. And yes, I know fresh seafood. Not only does I come from a family of commercial fisherman, chefs, and restauranteurs, I have been an avid recreational fishermen for 47 years. I have caught Bluefin and had the sashimi from it on the boat on the ocean. My point? I know more about fish than most people in this state and when I say something is terrible it is. Hapa Sushi is the worst ever. If you go there because of happy hour good for you. Quality and your health is obviously not an issue to you. Nothing was fresh, portions tiny with amateurish construction and presentation. My guest and I started with very greasy Tempura Shishito peppers fried in old oil served with a ponzu and ranch dressing dipping sauces. Ranch dressing in a Sushi restaurant in the Cherry Creek shopping district? Did I order chicken fingers at Dairy Queen? I pushed it away. Gross. Worst Shishito peppers ever. Then came the sashimi and Salmon Skin roll. I love salmon skin rolls, but once again the worst ever. I could not even recognize what it was on the plate. I asked and the nice waitress said it was the Salmon Skin roll. Really? At the same time we asked her to fix the two mistakes the guy who made our made. He But he messed it up again. A sickly sweet sauce drowned this SS roll making the skin chewy and inedible. The stuff inside was worse. My date knowing I know food asked if I had tasted it yet with a strained look on her face. The rest was not fresh and close to needing a visit to the dumpster. All food was bad, bad, bad. Now I will address the extremely low class, trailer park trash names of some of the menu items. Multiple Orgasm roll. Foreplay roll. XXX roll. You get the picture. Some diners may have inquisitive children. Trashy at best. For all this garbage you also get a high dollar check for worst that Asian Buffet sushi. My friend and I left in disgust and vowed we would never eat there again. You should not eat there either

Good prices for happy hour but I was not impressed with any of the rolls or dumplings I tried. Would come back for happy hour only because of the location and prices. Inside is small and crowded.

I love Hapa Sushi! Especially those great lunch specials and the close proximity to my office. I have always heard the happy hour at Hapa is great, but I have yet to check it out. Only visited and gotten food to go for lunch. This specific location does not feel very big once you step inside, but the space is well used and there is plenty of seating, so I have never had to wait for a table when I chose to dine in. I usually order ahead online, pcik-up my lunch, and return to my office to eat. I have never used this feature, but I have been told Hapa has sort of a drive-through option where you pull into the alley and give the restaurant a call. Then someone will bring your order out to you and have you sign your receipt, etc.(I call this alley sushi!) My usual order is the Tres Manos Maki lunch special. Three hand rolls of some basic sushi: california roll, Hapa roll(spicy tuna), and Rock n’ Roll(spicy shrimp). It is enough to fill me up until dinner time, plus it comes with miso soup as well!

Went to get sushi with a friend, the waiter was nice but the hosts(blonde hair) was very RUDE we asked if we could sit at another table because we didn’t feel comfortable there and she said no because it was happy hour and it was already reserved. She gave us a rude look after then just walked away… when we got done eating happy hour was already over and the place was still empty. Other than that sushi was delicious! Will avoid going to this Hapa

We found it to be over priced and to offer smaller servings than was expected for the price. A bit pretentious as well. We won’t be back.

I came here for happy hour during the weekend. I was excited to try some new things and snack on some old favorites. The sushi chef was fairly knowledgeable and super friendly. I forget his name. We talked about the merits of the natto roll which is something I crave regularly. It was super fresh tasting which is vital for natto. I was feeling squirrelly, so I also got the Magic Mushrooms. These were super tasty and gushing with avocado goodness. I appreciated the presentation and mushroom shape, but there was definitely waaaay too much mayo. To drink, I had the Hapa Rice Beer that is brewed by Great Divide. It was a nice, light beer with a clean, slightly sweet finish. I really enjoyed the happy hour and hope to come back some time soon.

I had a good experience here years ago, and ever since I come here whenever I’m in town. Last night took a coworker and a client, and we had a very nice meal with good drinks. Nothing exceptional, certainly not cheap, but apropos of the Cherry Creek market. All in all a solid sushi bar.

So my friend and I have been frequenting the Landmark/Greenwood Village location for a while, close to two years. As circumstance wood have it, we both found Cherry Creek to be closer to us when we decided to meet for a catch up fest over Labor Day weekend. Now Hapa in general has by far one of my favorite happy hours. Not so much for the sushi(I prefer their specialty rolls not featured on the HH menu) as it is for the drinks and the starters. You can grab an array of starters for half price and share them family style. That’s the best! I managed to arrive before my friend and chose to place an order since we only had half an hour left before happy hour ended. Also we’ve done this happy hour enough that I felt confident in our usual choices. –1st star: the food actually tasted slightly different than the Landmark/Greenwood Village location. We ordered the pork gyoza and the dipping sauce seemed runny. It barely stuck to the tasty dumplings. –2nd star: because the wait staff started bringing out my preemptively placed order before my friend even arrived! I clearly stated that I was waiting for a friend and was wanting to make sure we got an order in. Why would you start bringing it out? That meant by the time my friend arrived a portion of the food was already cooling down. It was an average experience. I’d probably go back if I had to, but I think I’ll stick to the Landmark/Greenwood Village location for consistency.

Loved the drinks and poke appetizer, so delicious! The sushi was average but then again, I ordered from the happy hour menu for 2 rolls for $ 7.50. I’m sure the more expensive rolls will be a lot better. I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed the salmon poke and chips appetizer though! So flavorful and well complimented by the chips :) Everything was reasonably priced and I would definitely come back. I’ll give the more expensive rolls another shot maybe when I’m out for dinner with the boyfriend.

Hapa has a really good variety of sushi. Everything from basic rolls to more adventurous options that include unusual ingredients like strawberries and apples! The location is great and the servers are all super friendly. The rolls were all good size, although my seaweed salad was on the small side(I definitely didn’t leave hungry by any means). I’ll definitely be making regular Hapa runs now that I live in the area!

I was shocked that the happy hour portions were huge! I am used to happy hour meals being ½ the size because of the marked down price but here you really get a lot of bang for your happy hour buck. The location is great(though parking is difficult-mostly street parking). You can get a cheap cocktail & enjoy it outside while you people watch or you can enjoy your meal indoors where the ambience is kind of trendy/moody. Happy hour menu offers tons of options from raw fish dishes to appetizers like miso soup, gyoza, agedashi tofu, tempura or mussels. You can get 2 rolls for $ 7. You can also skip the wait by making online reservations. Starters are ½ price during happy hour & you can get $ 2 nigiri on Fridays/Saturdays. Thursday-Saturday happy hour is 10−11PM while Monday-Saturday it’s 2:30 — 5:30PM.

Very busy but the food is made fast. It was crowded when we went and for good reason. They have a big selection of modern takes on sushi and the portions are generous. Try this place when you go on a date because their drinks are really good too.

Hapa is a great place to get your quick sushi fix, not the best sushi. but consistently good. This visit we had slower than normal service, which we did not mind… when they are busy you should expect some long lines mostly because the location is not very big. This restaurant has been in the area for a long time and you can tell it could use a remodel. Aside from that the food is good and a fair price for what you get.

I am a big fan of happy hour specials and Hapa has one of the best. In fact, I only go to Hapa during their happy hour. They have a huge selection of discounted food and drinks. Their food items are always fresh, consistent, and delicious. I love sashimi and raw fish are my absolute favorite so I always order Hapa’s Colorado style hamachi(yellowtail with jalapeño) and the salmon taro poke. They are amazing!!! Also, I am a fan of their new style sashimi and American kobe carpaccio. A few other items I would recommend ordering are the broiled green mussels, magic mushrooms, and the thai chicken skewers. But do not let the magic mushroom name fool you; it is not made with mushroom.

UPDATE: Hapa has one of THE best sushi happy hours in the city. Everything is fresh, perfectly prepared, tastes delicious and is so so so cheap. hands down, one of the best. However, this location boasts quite a few problems: –the parking situation. terrible. street only or blocks away in public parking. –the place gets super crazy packed at all times of day. I think i’ll stick to my greenwood village location :)

Hapa has one of the best happy hours, in my opinion. The only complaint I have, is that it ends at 5:30, which makes it difficult for people like myself that work till 6. I try to catch it on the weekends. They have sushi roll specials 2 for $ 7, half off appetizers, and cheap drink specials. I usually order so much food, that they have to roll me out. This time we got pork gyoza, magic mushrooms, 2 basic rolls, veggie tempura, Colorado style hamachi, miso soup and a few drinks. It was actually, just the right amount of food. Perfect I might say. Magic mushrooms are one of my favorite things to eat. Avocado wrapped in salmon topped with Japanese aioli and sweet soy and served with love. Everything comes out cooked/served beautifully. The servers are always extremely friendly and helpful. They have a few locations, which makes it easy to get to. I love it!
