Denver Pho & Grill

The short: Great food, amazing prices and most importantly you’re supporting a local, family owned business that cares about its patrons.
The longish: On my way up to Firestone to visit my uncle, I had a hankering for phở. I’m a Denver native, but a) haven’t lived here in almost 10 years and b) don’t know much of the dining world north of I-​70. Unilocal came to my rescue, and I’m SO glad this place is on my radar now!
It was a little hard to find (yes, it’s in an office park), but totally worth it! I ordered the largest-​sized phở with rare beef and brisket. The server kindly cautioned me that it was a BIG portion, so well… challenge accepted! The bowl, was in fact massive, and the broth piping hot and very aromatic without being over powering. What really struck me though, was the owner coming out to say hello and ask how I was enjoying my meal and how I found them. SHe’d never seen me before and was happy I stopped in. It was so lovely!
I’ll definitely be back to try the summer rolls and another XL bowl of phở.

we just moved to the area and discovered this mom and pop phở place. The owners are so nice and always engage with customers! The phở is amazing, perfect on a cold snowy day! No MSG either, which is an added plus. We had food delivered for the first time last week and they were so quick. 30 minutes from the moment we hung up the phone to when we were able to eat our food! A must visit!

We came here because we were in the area (kind of) and saw the reviews. We drove 10 minutes to try this phở spot.
We are very satisfied and the phở broth is really good. I’m Vietnamese and I saw one of their appetizers were «Banh Lot» which was very rare for restaurants. I used to eat these as a kid so I was really excited to try them again!
Our server was very prompt and very polite. The restaurant owner/​cook named Amy is very kind and passes by each table to make sure everything tastes right and makes sure we are ok.
This is the best customer service I have ever received from a phở restaurant.
PS– she does NOT use MSG! Which is awesome!
Normally at phở restaurants, my husband and I spend about 26 $ for 2 bowls of small phở and an appetizer. Today I spent 21 $. They are amazing.

Was thrilled to find this gem in this area. Their phở is well done, but doesn’t use MSG, so the flavor will be a bit different if you are not aware. Quality food, terrific prices and in an area without many options for good food. Definitely recommend and will be back here.

Great portion size, stellar customer service, and veggie friendly! Got the Veggie Phở Bowl and it was AMAZING! I couldn’t stop eating it — the broth was perfection. The wonderful chef came out and apologized for it taking so long (it wasn’t long at ALL, but perhaps the other broths come out instantly) because they need to make the veggie broth fresh to order. It is totally worth it, and again, it maybe took 5 – 7 minutes wait. Will be back again and again!

My brother works nearby this place and all 3 of the office people ordered from this place including my brother. All three got food poisoning!!! I’m so pissed because now my brother is in bed throwing up because of this place. People, please stay away from this place if you don’t want to be the victim of food poisoning!!! The health department needs to get here ASAP and check this place out!

This place has really great phở. I wish I was closer to this place (I live downtown), but I always go here to eat whenever I’m close by. Amy’s also a very nice manager. Did I mention they don’t use MSG? Many phở places use MSG which can make you feel very tired afterward, but not here, which is a plus.

I’ve been to many Phở restaurants and unfortunately most have been a disappointment. Usually because I have had to add things to the dishes just to have some sort of taste. Here is had to add nothing at all. I had the slicy beef soup. The broth was flavorful with the just the right amount of heat. No MSG is a huge plus for me. Very friendly staff without being overbearing. I will be back again.

Had to make a quick stop for food before a business meeting and only had about 40 mins to spare. I was quickly seated as soon as I walked in and when I told him if this can be quick since I saw a huge party of 16 people sitting by the door who had just placed their orders.
The waiter said that all their food are very quick, and I swear I ordered with him, took a sip of water, and the food was here. Fastest phở delivered to my table ever! I really appreciate him taking the time to ensure that my order was quick as I had to leave to go to the meeting. I ordered a small phở with rare beef and brisket. Phở was delicious and the service was really awesome!
I took away one star because the meat is a lot less than what I’m used to at other Vietnamese places around town, less in the amount and also the size of the meat. I probably had 3 small pieces of rare beef and maybe 3 very small pieces of brisket. The brisket were a little bigger than a quarter size and the rare beef was maybe closer to a silver dollar size. Also the noodle was less than other phở places too, maybe my request of the speed caused them to have quality control issues, but I’m still grateful to be able to make it to my meeting on time and only took me 25 mins to be in and out of this place. Thanks Denver Phở, I’ll be back!

Lovely staff, quick service, great food, lots of leftovers! I ordered phở with tofu and shrimp and highly recommend it. :)

3.5 stars. Great flavors, especially since they DO NOT use MSG! I am so happy a phở joint finally opened in this part of town. They are always friendly and prompt. Their bun bo hue is a little different than I am used to, but it is very good and I would definitely suggest trying it. Lost 1.5 stars because I feel the meat portions are small and the tea is over priced. Also, I’m not big on the spring rolls, because they don’t have much filling and they fall apart, due to being rolled very loosely so they look like a standard size. NO MSG! Just thought I should say that again! Wish they put 6 more slice of beef in the small soup, but I do eat here and I do enjoy it.

The phở was pretty good. The broth was not that flavorful compared to some other nearby phở restaurants. I had to use what I felt like was a lot of condiments to give the broth flavor. However the staff is exceptional. They are very interested in you being satisfied and want good reviews on Unilocal (who doesn’t). Not sure I would rush back, but the ingredients were fresh and the restaurant was clean.

This is a very nice place! Good food, cute little restaurant, and super nice staff. They do not use MSG in the broth, which is really good to know! And it still tastes excellent.

Very good phở! MSG free broth too! (no compromise on the taste though) The owner actually came over to our table to make sure everything was as expected, and tasted good. It was a great experience! Great prices too! Will definitely be going back.

Best phở ever. Come here 1 – 2 times a week. Amy is the best! She has a great personality … Great food, great people, great price. What more can you ask for?

We had the Cha Gio and a shrimp and pork appetizer to start. It was the beginning of a wonderful meal. We both got the combination rice platter. My husband finished his, and we shared my leftovers for supper.
The people who run this place are really friendly, and take time to go over the menu with you, and answer any questions you may have.
Everything was freshly made, and you can taste how much careful preparation goes into each dish. We can’t wait to return!

Nancy and her son run the restaurant in an industrial part of Denver. Without Unilocal I would have never been able to find it but I’m so glad I did. The ingredients are fresh and can be tasted in the broth, which is light and flavorful. My husband and I have enjoyed the phở and noodle combos. We came back a week later because it is that good.

Real good food, broth is one of the best I’ve had. Awesome customer service, very friendly and polite. I will be returning!

This phở restaurant needs to work more kinks and learn from other restaurants how they are successful.
Price, portions, and broth flavor needs work. Stingy on their servings all around. From the phở to the veggies. I don’t care much for the price if it matches with quality.
They are very new and I hope they figure it all out so I can come by again. Their fried rice was very delicious
