Really good pizza and really nice staff. Ordered the spinach, mushroom onion pizza and I was really impressed! Better than the deep dish I had in Chicago! They should have more stars.

Great pizza and service. Good beer selection; especially given the smaller size of the restaurant. Be prepared for a bit of a wait for a deep dish pizza to cook. If you wanna grab a quick lunch you might consider calling ahead to place your order.

We checked out Denver Deep Dish on a date after seeing the Westword«Best Deep Dish» award. The place wasn’t too crowded on a cold and cloudy Saturday evening in May. The service was attentive and friendly. The interior is nice and unpretentious, splitting the difference between a neighborhood joint and a fast-casual prototype. We had some $ 3 beer can specials and ordered a spinach salad and a supreme pizza. The food was excellent and not overpriced(the house-made salad dressing was also great). The biscuit-like crust kept a good crispiness and did not get soggy. All the ingredients, including the sauce, tasted very fresh and the ingredient ratios were very well-balanced. The tomato sauce and sausage were especially good. A medium pizza was more than enough for two people and the following day we had a great leftovers lunch. The cocktail menu looked great and we’ll have to come back to try it as well as their brunch and other specials!

They didn’t deliver everything I ordered. The sauce they use is SPICY!!! I don’t do spicy at all! That’s why I like pizza but their left me disappointed. I read the reviews thought excellent but wrong!!! The cheesy garlic bread is nasty too. Unless you like a little things the numbing lips Don’t Do It!

Went for my 1st time Saturday evening with my Boyfriend who has been in there before! I love the décor! The food was amazing! The staff was just as amazing! I had the meatball sandwich! YUMMY! Not too sure if it was the sauce or the meatballs that were a touch spicey! But very good overall! I will be back! So much more to try on the menu!!!

Best Pizza in Denver I discovered this place a couple months ago and have since become a regular. To me, the perfect pizza has a crisp outer crust and and soft cheesy doughy top. I like to add pineapple for a simple delicious slice. They say it takes at least 30 mins for a full pie but I pretty much always order 2 slices and it never takes more than 10 mins. They intentionally don’t slice the pies for To Go orders as they say the pizza travels much better. They say the wings are brined, grilled, and then finished in the oven. This results in a super tender and flavorful wing, very delicious. They have a really awesome brunch special with a cheap bottomless mimosa and when I went it was BOGO for breakfast pies. I had the sausage gravy pizza and my friend had the bacon breakfast pizza, both were fantastic. Good selection of beer with several Chicago favorites and a monthly theme on tap. Cool staff who are really friendly and provide attentive service. I highly recommend this business.

2 stars for great service from the waitress who was super nice, and some really bomb wings. Those two things were great… But for the LOVEOFGOD I beg you, please stop making pizza. Please? Like how did it get this far? It was a «pizza biscuit» with toppings and mini garlic biscuits(bites). It was like the Pilsbury dough boy had an Italian inspired sex change and got husky enough to be a deep dish lol 3 people left half a pizza in front of them, and tried to politely ditch the to-go box lol… it just was like — a crushing disappointment compared to ever other deep dish experience ive ever had. HOWEVER — there is a brunch offering and id be reallllll intrigued to see this biscuit pizza in breakfast form. I would just feel like a moron going back here for anything besides wings lol

Cool pizza place right off of 38th Ave. Funky interior with a very laid-back vibe. This place is known for Chicago style pizza. Very delicious if you like that kind of pizza. We do! Just be prepared to wait a little longer for preparation due to the style. Good amount of drafts on tap and lots of canned options too. Mondays and Tuesdays are half-price wine nights. My husband and I split a caprese salad and a deep dish mushroom and pepperoni. Both were very good. A sign in the restaurant advertised $ 12 bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary’s on the weekends. Will be back to check that special out for sure. Super friendly staff too!

The space was super clean and nice. Great staff. Super overpriced. Also, the dough was really heavy and wasn’t chewable for my grandpa. He has fake teeth so I guess that makes sense. If I return I’ll have to ask for light sauce, because my pizza was more sauce than dough, or cheese. Not my style but very nice people.

Never eaten there before, but called to ask some questions about delivery a hour before they close. They acted insulted that I called and weren’t the nicest.

This place delivered a pizza to me where the dough was still raw. Pizza was gross but the wings were ok. Unfortunately it’s the only place open late for delivery.

I love this place. They have a unique spin on deep dish with a crust like nothing I have ever had on a pizza before. It says right on the menu that pizzas take 40+ minutes, so have a beer or an appetizer and enjoy yourself. Or call ahead and it will be ready when you get there. I always bring any visitors to check out Denver Deep Dish and I have only had good responses. The staff is friendly and courteous, but not over bearing. Check it out if you have not tried it yet.

Changing this review. The pizza is actually decent. One gripe was that when delivered the sauce was watery and it made the bottom soggy. We ended up putting it in the oven not only to reheat but in hopes of evaporating some of the excess water. This seemed to work and basically gave us 2 dinners. However I shouldn’t have to heat it in the oven 2 times to evaporate water out of the sauce. May have been a rough batch. We will def try them again.

$ 36 for a «large» pizza with 3 topping(Actually a medium at best). It’s actually good but I’m sorry… What?! We will PASS! Edit: The owner has replied to say he reached out to me. I’m not sure where he did this but I haven’t received any contact. Someone else in the group ordered the pizza and we picked it up. So, no, I did not agree to it ahead of time and was shocked at the price/size. I really don’t understand how anyone is surprised that someone thinks $ 36 is a high price for ONE pizza. I would not typically drive to pick up a pizza, go back to our house to eat it, and then drive back to the place to tell them that I think their pizza is okay but overpriced. I’m not sure what face to face contact he expects. If you don’t want people to leave online reviews, you’re in the wrong business. Or the wrong century.

I got to check out DDD recently on a pilgrimage to try The Pilgrim. The Pilgrim is what happens when Pizza and Thanksgiving collide. And what happens is: Wonderful. This leftovers on ‘roids pizza consists of smoked turkey, stuffing(made with Polidori sausage and rye bread — um yeah), and is topped with a tangy cranberry relish. It was truly something to be thankful for. As good as that was, it still didn’t beat the wings out for our favorite dish. DDD’s wings are world class! The«Buffaque» sauce was just the right amount of sweet, tangy, heat to compliment the smokey goodness of the chicken. Great service and lots of TVs make DDD an A+.

I came here with the expectation that it would not be on par with some of my favorite Chicago pizzas. I’m glad I did because I thought the pizza was good but it certainly wouldn’t hold a candle to the top three in Chicago. The waiter told me the crust was similar to Gino’s… let’s not go there! ;) What impressed me was the beer selection. They have beers on tap you normally don’t find in Colorado. I also liked the space. We sat up in the bar area and it was cool because it overlooks the dining area. We actually came here because I called earlier to find out if they’d have the sound to the Bears game. Once the game started they turned it up enough for me to hear the whistle but I couldn’t hear a word Gruden was saying. We asked two people working there to turn it up and our requests were basically ignored so we left at half.

We live in this Neighborhood and have been to Denver Deep Dish a bunch. We love the staff! They are so friendly and actually will remember you, even if you only show up every month or so. Great atmosphere, and they have trivia Wednesday nights. Beer — AMAZING local beer selection(as well as a great Chicago selection). Really good stuff in cans. Also, the mixed drinks looks super fun. Food — the smoked wings are perfect. Get them. The pizza is deep, and takes awhile to arrive at your table(get the wings for the wait). The crust on the pizza is crusty and buttery. My favourite pie is the pepperoni, pineapple, jalapeño pie. This place is great. Try it out.

I’m rollin with the deep dish meat lovers! That is exactly what I did and I must say this was the BESTPIZZA I HAVEEVERHAD! Holy deep dish pizza, I would I could explain with words. The crust tasted like they baked it in an oven that fell straight from heaven. It was crispy, flaky, and buttery. The sauce, this was the kicker! I have never tasted a pizza that the flavor of the sauce took over the entire pizza. It was a perfect compliment to the cheeze(yes, with a Z) and the meat toppings. Did you all make the cheese? Do you have a cow in the back that you get the milk from? Do you cure and smoke all the meats that you put on the toppings for this pizza? I hung out at the Bar Car and took the pizza to go, I tasted when I was driving home and I literally had to pull over on Colorado Blvd and Mississippi to finish the piece that I started. I couldn’t wait the 35 minutes it was going to take me to get back to SE Aurora. Needless to say, when I got home I SMASHEDIT!!! I tell you what… Denver Deep Dish is going to be FAMOUS! This place is going to make its mark in Denver, FAST. Please don’t be surprised if you see Guy and the Triple D(the«other» Triple D) crew show up to this place. I don’t know what the other reviews say, but if they are anything less then outstanding — DISREGARD and try this place out for yourself! Much love DDD! I will be back… with an Army of men… women… and children! Just a side note, their wings MIGHT be better than there pizza… you need to try them!

Overall, the grilled and smoked spicy buffalo wings were delicious! They had good pizza and environment, an extensive menu, and they offered 50 local beers. I Wanted to give this place five stars but it fell short, see below. I would like to acknowledge that my standard deep dish is Old Chicago’s. On the wings: Wow! Grilled and smoked wings for the win, it was basically a magical moment when the smoked flavor and spicy buffalo mixed – I will go back specifically for the wings, no doubt. The wings set the standards for grilled wings for me, perhaps how great wings can be in general! On the pizza: the waiter said it would take 35 mins to make, and it did. We ordered pepperoni, pineapple, jalapeño, which surprisingly was one of their«standard» pizzas and apparently most popular. The wait was worth it, as deep dish is always yummy. However, my complaints were this: the pizza was soupy, as I believe they put more Mariana sauce above the cheese than below. I love marinara, and the sauce was fine, but the fresh-chunky tomato consistency, alongside the pineapple perpetrators, made the pizza prone to being«wet». Thus, the toppings and sauce, bathed in the deep dish bowl. Also, the crust was not my favorite. Despite the wetness or the topping, It was almost like a dry and floury pillsbury croissant crust. Wings get 5/5, pizza gets 3/5, environment and overall experience, 4⁄5. I appreciate this pizza place for all it offers, but It’s the wings that impressed me most.

Okay, I’ve never been to Chicago and I can’t say that I’ve eaten a whole lot of deep dish pizza in my life, but I loved Denver Deep Dish! The fact that it’s three blocks from our house is just a(dangerous) bonus. We stopped in on Friday night and despite the kids birthday party going on at the same time, we had a great experience. The staff was lovely. We were immediately greeted by who I assume was either the owner or the manager and were given a run down of the local beer offerings. We both went with LowDown’s IPA and the description(hints of grapefruit, lager color) were spot on. The rest of the staff was equally friendly and I liked that they all seemed to be helping each other out. Oh and we ordered some garlic bites to go with our beer. I loved that doughy texture. As for the pizza, we each ordered smalls(spinach and sausage for me, supreme for him) and thought it was the perfect personal pizza size. I loved mine! The ratio of cheese to sauce to toppings was just right(the supreme had more of a dominant sauce taste) and I loved the crust! Though it was deep dish, the bottom crust was still thin(ish) so it wasn’t overwhelmingly carby/filling. We will absolutely be back — probably too often :)
