Abby Gleason Design & Photography

I worked with Abby for a few different occasions and she has always been great. She shows up with a great attitude and keeps the mood fun and lively the whole time. She also offers suggestions during the photo session that are specific without being demanding or pushy. Then, she would immediately show me the result of her latest suggestion by using the playback on her digital camera. It made me feel involved the whole time (it also helped me understand why she said «turn your head a little to the side” — I could see how much better the picture looked compared to how I was before).
I also like how she’s willing to take pictures outside of a studio. When my boyfriend and I had her take some holiday card pictures she asked «What place is special to you?». We ended up with beautiful, and personally meaningful, pictures that we still love even beyond the holiday season.
I am not a photogenic person and a lot of the «professional» pictures I’ve had taken in the past have come out looking forced, stale, and overly-​posed. So I was blown away when I saw the pictures Abby took. Not only were they «me», they were the natural side of me that I would only rarely see in candid pictures taken by friends (you know, the kind usually taken by a cellphone camera). I am proud to share the pictures Abby has taken and always receive compliments on them when I do (compliments about both the picture and about me!).

Abby is as professional as they come. I worked with her on a fashion shoot and saw first hand how wonderful she can be when it comes to directing the directionless (me) and capturing gorgeous photos.
So when it came time to have someone capture our non-​traditional wedding of course we came to Abby! She worked tirelessly that day to get amazing shots that really captured our unique moments.
She is a passionate photographer with an infectious smile. I hope to work with her again!
