Awesome Chai! I love the alternate milk options and the tea selection. I will always go here first!

Apologies, everyone. I have to be the same and give this place another 5-star rating. Fabulous service with some pleasant banter, deliciously flavored coffee drinks, and CRONUTS! Sorry, we took the last two. ;)

I travel all over and Unilocal coffee shops, for being a small town shop this is as good as it gets! Amazing coffee from their Americano to more specialty drinks they are all spot on. Food is also good. Breakfast burritos, cronuts and more.

Delta’s a pretty small town, but this shop’s killing it. Surprising discovery :-) . Really good foam in the lattes and cappuccinos. Light roast espresso beans — not bitter or burnt. Latte art. They have Delicious Cronuts! And other nice pastry offerings. Good music(modest mouse, the shins, etc), hip baristas. Friendly and pleasing service.

Stop in here for a great Latte. Forget Starbucks. This is the place to go. I got a large Breve Latte and it was perfect. The guy working was so nice and friendly too.

The most amazing high quality coffee and service. But the pastries the pastries run not walk the owners an amazing couple are so freaking cool and everything they make is made with love and it shows. Only eat what she makes the pastries will rock your morning they are always sold out and we make a special place here every time we can just to get our morning started. We stopped by Doghouse Espresso during our vacation(we’re from California) and were definitely glad we did! This little coffee shop is so cozy, the owners are incredibly nice and talkable, and the coffee was delicious! The latte art was also a lovely touch. :) Stopping by the next time we’re in Colorado for sure.

Roy ‘The Hungry Englishman’ If you’re a small establishment and going to offer a modest selection then what you do offer should be spot on and I’m very pleased to say that ‘Doghouse Espresso’ in Delta is getting it absolutely right, well done indeed!!! As is so often the case with our travels, my wife and I have found ourselves in a beautiful part of Colorado for a few months. In need of a hot drink and a treat we ventured out to Delta(we are up in the mountains) for a morning out and decided to try out Doghouse. The place is ‘tiny’ but the ‘large’ and warm welcome from the staff easily made up for it. My wife had a Chai and a scone, both of which(she tells me) were excellent. In particular we were both impressed with how the scone wasn’t caked in suger. One of the mistakes so man bakers make is to pander to the sweetness addiction so rampant here in the US and cover ‘everything’ in suger or frosting, this so often ruins what would have been a perfectly good scone. Fortunately for us, this was not the case at Doghouse, thumbs up for that. As for myself I had a slice of homemade quiche which was totally delicious, fresh, moist and flavorful, in fact one of the best quiches I have had in a while. Tea!!! Okay let me start by having a rant(not directed at Doghouse). I’m English and of course love my tea but for some unknown reason everyone in the US is under the misguided impression we all drink Earl Grey(watching too many costume dramas I suspect). This is not the case, in fact I can never recall seeing anyone back home ‘every’ drink a cup of Earl Grey. I was raised in rural county and much of it on a farm and my mon ‘always’ had the kettle on, tea was either PG Tips, Tetley or Yorkshire tea. Either way it was just standard black tea, what is often called here in American ‘Breakfast’ tea, a phrase I had neve heard before coming here. My point is… most folks in the UK just grew up on something like PG Tips and not this hoity toity Darjeeling, Earl Grey, Lapsang Souchong and the like. So if you own or run a a coffee/tea shop please just grap some bog standard PG for us real Brits. End Rant. Okay, so as expected Doghouse had a load of ‘interesting’ teas but nothing that looked like it was going to give me a good brew. However after a few words with the very pleasant and helpful young lady, she worked her magic and soon brought me out a cracking cuppa. Despite my rant and mini lecture this lady was a trooper and took it in her stride, a grand job lass(as Wallis would say). We will certainly be visiting again very soon. They don’t have a huge selection here but what they do offer was difficult to fault and I can’t speak too highly about the lady in charge(owner?). Happy eating, Roy

A passionate, knowledgeable staff is key to a good coffee shop. Good coffee is simply the result of a intimate love affair with(and a strong working knowledge of) coffee. Of course, there is no substitute for fast, friendly, clean, and thorough; and Doghouse Espresso has it all. Other indicators that they take good care of their customers is that they have Almond milk as a non-dairy option in addition to soy, plus they offer a wide array of Alternative Baking Company organic cookies. If that’s not enough, they have FOUR different kinds of chai tea. How can you possibly beat that?! They are, without a doubt, the best locally owned, small-town coffee shop I have discovered in the mountain whole mountain region.

With a friendly atmosphere and great tasting coffee, Doghouse Espresso is one of my favorite spots to visit in Delta, Did I mention free WiFi?
