This place has a very nice setting, the food was good but at the same time disappointing reason being some foods that are suppose to be hot were less then warm. Never met my serve, which i dont even know why buffets have servers. My water was never refilled. This isnt a restaurant issue but more of lack of being a server. Would i come back? Probably Yes, with an expextation of a different server and the foods that need to be hot will be. Taste was great dont get me wrong.

Not good!!! This buffet was a big disappointment the steak they advertised it was like shoe leather. The lobster that I wanted to eat wasn’t even out until I asked three times when it finally did come out it was mushy!!! The price is a little cheaper than most buffets in the area but believe me the quality was reflected. The only thing that was good was the crème brûlée

This was our first time at Vikings. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Price on weekends is only $ 15.95 can’t beat that for a buffet that also includes hibachi which they cook in the kitchen, but it’s worth the wait! It was really good! I would definitely suggest trying this place out if your tired of Ginza and Santos!(Our other favorites)

Excellent place, sushi was fresh, looked like«artwork» on the serving platters. The mini-ribs were tasty and the beef also was delicious. The lobster was fresh and tasty. Definitely worth the extra money, a little higher than an average buffet because the food it above average. Can’t wait to go back. 5 stars all the way !

Overall this is a good buffet. Very clean, excellent pricing, and great attentive staff. This is not high end as far as the food quality goes but it is a four out of five stars.

Great sushi, amazing chicken. We came at night so it wasn’t too busy which was very nice, selection of the sushi was remarkable, also chicken selection was nice, my cousin had the spicy tuna rolls and loved, I am a chicken person and as stated it was nice, apparently the place is open for 7 months, will return.

I really like this place! My mom and I did a walk-through to make sure the restaurant was a suitable birthday setting. It passed the test and we ended up eating here the next day. All five of us enjoyed it! The food was flavorful, plentiful, and presentable. The only negative thing I can say is that the Hibachi is made in the kitchen and there’s not a station for it. Aside from that, the food is great and the atmosphere is peaceful.

Diane and I decided to join a few friends for dinner at this Asian buffet. When I walked in I was very impressed. It was very clean, a nicely laid out buffet. I was very hungry and hopeful for a good meal. The sushi was pretty good as was their General Tsao’s chicken. They had fried rice and white rice. The string beans were very flavorful. The Vikings(I don’t know why they are called Vikings) had a steak section with Slice-your-own New York Strip. It had sort of a charred flavor to it. It was adequately tender and not fatty. The various shrimps were good. The chicken on a stick was tough. The grilled Salmon was very fishy tasting. The ribs were very tasty. The hot and sour soup needed a little soy sauce to make it acceptable. For dessert, there were several ice creams. I had strawberry and vanilla. They were OK. The Crème Brulee was quite good. I enjoyed it. I had ice cold Bud Lights with the meal. I think it was my favorite part of the dinner. Overall, it was an all right deal for the money. They certainly could have been better in all categories, but I didn’t feel cheated. The waitress was very helpful. Unfortunately it was a challenge to find clean silverware. The Vikings Steak Seafood & Sushi Buffet was just fair

I enjoy sushi and I love Chinese food, but I’m not a big fan of sushi buffets or Chinese buffets. Many times the food is bland, the vegetables are limp, and the sushi all tastes the same. Of course there are exceptions. When a friend called and asked us to go with him and several friends to Vikings Steak Seafood & Sushi Buffet I was hesitant. He told me that a friend of his had been there the day before and had loved the food. Not only that but he had gotten a 15 percent off coupon. Who am I to doubt the word of a friend of a friend? Throw in the coupon and we decided to go. When we got to the restaurant our friends were already seated. There were several dining rooms. In the center of the restaurant was a large buffet divided into different food stations. I started with the sushi and sashimi. They had a good selection and were constantly bringing out fresh. I thought it was very good. In fact what I had was delicious. My favorite was the Dragon Roll which had a slight crunch and tasted great. I tried a few of their appetizers and I especially liked the tempura. I didn’t want to fill up so I passed on the soups and salads. For entrees I tried the crab legs but decided it was a lot of work for very little reward. Several other people at our table really liked them. I enjoyed the fish with butter, chicken with broccoli, teriyaki chicken, salt and pepper shrimp, string beans, lo mein, and the spare ribs. They had other items on the buffet including steak and a hibachi grill which I was too full to try. For dessert they had fresh fruit, ice cream, and a variety of little cakes. I had ice cream and crème brule. Loved it. Beverages including juices, sodas, and cold or hot tea are extra. I was going to order hot tea until one of my table mates said they only had Lipton tea and no Chinese tea. I stuck with water. They also have wine, sake, and beer. The service was good. We got our own food on the buffet but our server cleared the dirty dishes, brought drinks, silverware, and extra napkins as requested. Most of the food was well stocked although they ran out of a few of the desserts. They brought out more crème brule after I asked a server if they had any more. There was a great selection and I thought the food was very good. The restaurant looked clean and attractive. Prices were very reasonable. I’m looking forward to going back.

So my wife and I ventured up from Boca Raton to try out this newer place. Honestly not worth the drive. I was hopeful of finding a new gem since it’s so new. Having the word steak in the name is kind of misleading. There was only one steak item on the buffet and the hibachi is now done in the kitchen so you can’t even see your choices. The sushi was okay but a little hard and cold from sitting out. Food was fine but not better than the many other choices around. My wife and I have been in the restroom many times since leaving so I really can’t recommend this place in good conscience. Service was very good but I can’t see how this place will survive in such a competitive market.

I arrived at this restaurant at 4:15pm on a Tuesday and found that all of the food was overcooked, obviously still left over from the lunch diners. Nothing was fresh at all. I inquired if they still have the crab legs, and th eowner told me, only for dinner. Dinner? when is that, I was there at 4:15pm??? She said it starts at 4:30.give me a break! For God’s sake you have 5 people in a restaurant that has a capacity for about 200. Are you missing the point why you are empty? Anyways, she did say they would bring out some crab legs which she referred to as King Crab Legs. NOT! It’s snow crab and if the owner doesn’t know the difference, then who does? The crab legs were cold and I asked an employee(latino that spoke no English, I think., and then asked where I would find the butter? I got a sneer response like, haven’t you bothered me enough already? I was upset by that and then the owner came up to me, asked me what was wrong, and kind of ignred the butter request altogether. I have never walked out of a restaurant in my life, but this was the first. With so many great restaurant to chose from in Delray, I sure wasn’t going to accept overcooked food. One the side buffet table everything was stone cold(health board alert!)too. I advised them of that and I guess another employee went over to check it, picked up some food, touched it and then placed it back onto the plate. Now how gross is that?(Heath board alert!) This restaurant lowered the price by $ 4 on their buffet but it could be free and I wouldn’t feed their food to my dog if it was starving. they’re obviously losing droves of customers if they have to lower a price point like that during the Peak Winter Season business especially when they are located close by 90% of Delray Seniors which frequent buffets. Out I went, and glad I did. TOTALFAIL!

We tried Viking expecting a old fashion buffet. What we found was your typical sushi, Chinese food and seafood buffet. Steak was offered off the habachi. The good is that the restaurant was clean. The bad news was the food. The sushi went from meager ok tuna to inedible rolls. The steak was greasy, thin and tasteless. The peel and eat shrimp was ok and made up most of my meal. Service staff was very nice, but this is last time we will subject ourselves to Viking.

As I sit here wrapping up my lunch buffet, I have only one concern. Will I be sick from the hibachi later? I have eaten at so many buffets it’s actually slightly sickening now that I think of it. That’s neither here nor there. After being just about halfway through my hibachi, I tasted something that had a slightly rotten flavor to it. I know what rotten tastes like because I’ve accidentally eaten rotten food. My concern right now lies with the fact that I ordered chicken hibachi and I am fearful that the chicken was bad. I did not voice any complaints. I just put the hibachi aside and decided to hit dessert. I’m tough like that. Dessert was good, nothing crazy. The only thing I seriously LOVED was this little ramekin with fish cucumber onion and cilantro. AMAZING. Service was good. The girl Iris and the boy were very attentive and nice. Overall experience was okay. Unfortunately I won’t come here again though given my experience with the rotten hibachi. Kinda bummed because I decided to go out of my comfort zone and choose this buffet over shinju. Oh well. I guess that’s what I get when I go to a buffet without Lorin, Ryon or Mandy :/

One word«bad.» This is a new venue, aesthetically it is decent looking but upon further inspection and rather tasting the food you will find it to be sub par. The hibachi steak was tough and grizzly. Most of the dishes were either raw or undercooked. This is a definitive«Pass».
