Great sausages and pickles, service with a smile, and good pulled pork make Mom Wilson’s well worth a stop when you’re in the area, or even a dedicated trip.
Over the past 20+ years we’ve lived in the area, our family has enjoyed stopping here. Mainly have picked up summer sausage and hot pickles, but am also now really digging their pulled pork. Previously they’d been open «every day October to May, but they seem to have changed their season to expand into summer. My favorites so far are the summer sausage, the hot summer sausage and the hot pickles, but they’ve got a wide variety of other stuff too.

I can’t believe this hasn’t been reviewed. Heck, I can’t believe I haven’t already reviewed it. It’s been here for years, and I have driven past it countless times.
This time we needed some sausage for a recipe, and we happened to be going right past. They had what we needed, and more. Assorted sausage, link and bulk. Cheese, bread, jerky, bacon… All the health foods. A few dog treats and other oddities.
It’s not a big place, and the hours are a bit limited. It’s a family business, and service is usually good. Free samples are usually on the counter. Prices are good for what you get– maybe slightly higher than a grocery store, but it’s better stuff.
We’ll be back, maybe even next week.
