There are nice workers at Kmart, only out back where you pay at the register its like 200°, back there. I couldn’t even breath back there. Very hot! I feel bad for the workers. Even the General manager, came out to the back, to do a Register void, I mentioned it to her, she gave me a rude look, and somewhat ignored me. Talking about bad attitude?

Compared to the Kmart in Bakersfield and some other Walmart centers this Kmart is VERY well kept and clean. Its staff is very friendly and they always seem to sweeping the items to correct issues. Being a local the staff here are always friendly and in a small town like Delano everybody knows everybody. Their prices are higher on some items compared to Walmart across town but they still manage to stay competitive which seems to be more because of the staff and their proximity to houses and apartments. This store has developed a loyal customer base that has single handedly kept this store open.(Aside from the staff)

Who remembers the Blue Light specials Kmart would have and literally have a blue light going? I know I do, so when I recently visited this Kmart in Delano I was brought back so many childhood memories. It has been quite a while since the last time I have visited this Kmart let alone any Kmart and one thing that stood out when I entered is the store seems a little condensed but only in certain areas. Some of the aisles have a good amount of space, but then some are a little narrow, this is especially at the cashier lanes. It just feels very congested in certain areas. Comparing this Kmart to other stores like Walmart, Target, etc, I will have to say that their clothes are displayed well. I didn’t see a bunch of different clothes piled on shelves like you do at Walmart at times. There are some workers that I saw walking the areas and correcting any product issues which is great, it keeps the appeal of the customer. As a kid I always enjoyed stopping by the café that almost all Kmarts had, they removed the café several years ago and now it is just a soda fountain and an Icee machine. In my eyes this brought a family feel when shopping, but maybe it just didn’t bode well. With the workers you have a mixture of them, some smiling and some who look like they dread work each day of their life. For the town of Delano, I’m not saying it is the best but it is better than other places. If you are ever in Delano, check out Kmart even though a Walmart is in Delano you will be surprised to know the prices are competitive and the store is well kept.

Earlier I went in here to look for some ink for my printer but wanted to stop by the fragrances. I seen that one cologne was on sale so I had to get it. I asked a worker there if I could get some help getting a cologne. She said«it’s a couple isles down right? Go ahead and look» And contributed her duty. I was like what the heck. I couldn’t find anyone else around that area so I went all the way to the cash registers in front to get some help. It took like 10 minutes for someone to finally come. Then I went to get the ink for my printer but was sold out The store was pretty clean and neat don’t get me wrong but I didn’t come out the store with what I was really looking for.

So the review is of the employee Reggie! He not only made my family and I save a ton of money, but really knew the service and products Kmart has to offer. He explained how their coupons worked and took the time to help us understand how to use the services they have to offer. We saved nearly 50 dollars by having him help us! Kudos to the well trained staff out at the Delano Kmart… Definitely worth the drive and visit. We got killer deals and some last minute Christmas items worth giving. Thanks Reggie!

Was there today. Cashier/clerk Reggie is awesome! He didn’t just ring me up, he made sure I took advantage of all sales, BOGOs, and got my rewards also. He didn’t mind taking the time and still managed to acknowledge other customers with a smile. Best of all for you Kmart, he has me going back to redeem my earned gift card. This is excellent customer service and an example of loyalty to its company and customers. So long WalMart!

I actually like Kmart, mostly because of Shop Your Way Rewards. This store has been remodeled fairy recently(which for a Kmart store, means within the last 10 years.) The outside though is very inviting. For the most part, they open up new registers when the lines are getting too long. I wish they had a Kmart Café though, however this Kmart has the biggest food department of any Kmart store I have been to, it even has fresh produce! Hopefully this store can stay open with the new Walmart super center down the freeway.

This is basically Delano’s first mall. My family and I walked here frequently to get our everyday items. My mom used to put my Route 66 Jeans on layaway here and we would eat at the café(now gone) and have those personal-sized pizzas and breadsticks from Little Caesars. The coolest thing they have is the rewards card, sometimes you can get free stuff or a few dollars removed from your total when you have points. They have everything here, I mean, no shit? It’s a big-box retailer. It’s so hood, kinda messy, kinda cheap, and filled with ghetto people and people who work in the fields. You can walk in here with your sweatpants, wife-beaters, and flip flops from Factory 2 U and you won’t be judged. I’m actually surprised the place is still open and kinda busy sometimes when I’m in town even after Wal-Mart opened. It’s good to have more shopping options for North Kern/South Tulare County residents who work their asses off in the fields(hats off to you). The staff here is helpful and everything’s accessible BUT the electronics and condoms(they’re locked behind glass so it looks like you might end up going bare instead, it feels better anyway). GOOD: — You’ll find everything you need here — Staff is helpful — The whole store is pretty clean — There’s a pharmacy and garden shop — Low prices and the rewards card hooks it up — You can walk in looking hella ghetto or ratchet and you won’t be judged NOBUENO: — The Condoms and Lube is locked up behind glass — There’s Loss Prevention people following you so you can’t steal Chapstick The Kmart on County Line is another option in town if you’re anti-Wal-Mart. I highly recommend it so my hometown can get more revenue.
