When it comes to fast food finding quality can be a chore in DeKalb. There’s a lot of poor quality, greasy burger joints around. Fortunately, Potbelly is a better(yet still average) alternative to Subway(yawn) and Jimmy John’s(bland) while remaining about at par with Jersey Mike’s and Panera. On the other hand, there’s far more options than Jersey Mikes and plenty of soups available, too. What I enjoyed with this Potbelly is the inviting atmosphere. You get free wi-fi, wonderful, friendly service, spacious seating and fair pricing. Beyond that, expect what all Potbelly stores offer: a quick turnaround on fair sandwiches at a price that’s respectable. This is one of the better Potbelly’s I’ve been to.

I love potbelly it’s one of my favorites. But I especially loved this location because the beautiful woman who took care of me really listened to my sandwhich request and made it exactly how I wanted. I wish I would have got her name to mention her on here. Maybe next time il catch it. But ya basically the service was great!

Potbelly is a chain restaurant, and this is a good location. I love the sandwiches and soups here; I always get the broccoli cheese soup with the warmed ham and Swiss sandwich. The only thing I wish was different was the prices. If it was $ 2 – 3 cheaper it would be so ideal and I would eat there all the time!

I tried this place during my last visit to DeKalb and, I must say, it was pretty good! To be honest, it was the decoration that caught my attention; it has a very warm, cozy, rustic look to it. I was unaware that this was a chain establishment, since(to me, at least) it doesn’t look/feel like one. The girls behind the counter were very friendly and patient with me. I ordered the tuna salad and my boyfriend got the pulled pork; they were both pretty good. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because I wish they had a bigger variety, since I can be a little picky at times. I was also surprised that they don’t carry spinach, which I thought was a pretty common thing? Aside from that, I still enjoyed my visit here and I’d definitely come back next time I’m in town.

I don’t know what can be said about Potbellys that hasn’t already been said. However, I was super excited when I saw a Potbellys in Dekalb! Dekalbanites, or Dekalbians, hmmm… People of Dekalb, thank you for giving me a piece of home. Thank you for not making me go to Burger King or McDonalds while visiting your town. I love Potbellys in Chicago, and this one is exactly the same as the ones at home. There was even a cute little college aged kid singing and strumming his guitar when I came in.

Typical Potbelly’s haven’t been to a bad one from here to Chocago. Good sandwiches, good shakes, good cookies and decent soups too. I like the Wreck and Meatball sandwhiches best with a chocolate malt.

Unique… Felt like an upscale Subway. The service was awesome. Very friendly. The décor was an old fashioned theme, lots of wood and rod iron. Also has a cool comical way of advertising.

Great location! Excellent, friendly staff! The best cookies ever! Never disappointed with my food or dessert selection. I have many favorites like the pizza sandwich, chicken salad, chili, shakes, the famous cookie brownie, etc. Good eats!

Not only does Potbelly’s have amazing sandwiches, but they also have exceptional customer service. I placed an order for delivery while I was at work, and an hour later I didn’t receive anything. I called the store and found out that the delivery driver’s car had stalled. They called another delivery driver, who jumped out of the shower, and picked up my food and brought it to me. I received my sandwiches complimentary, and the driver asked me to not tip him. Of course I still did, just for his troubles, and then a few weeks later, I received a Potbelly’s gift card. I really appreciate them handling this situation and didn’t forget me after the delivery was made. It just goes to show that they do go the extra mile to take care of their customers.

When I was in the Textbook business, I would stop by this location on my way out of NIU/Dekalb three times a year and it never disappoints. Besides offering a heated sandwich, several aspects of this company that set it apart from the Jimmy Johns and Subways of the world. The Bread — The bread has an almost baguette/italian loaf quality with a soft center and a crispier crust. Its even better warmed. The Toppings — The pickles alone are worth the trip; sliced ultra thin & long and made of the lighter almost Clausen like pickles, they compliment the sandwich well. The mustard is not over powering and the italian spice really adds a great dimension. They always manage to get just the right amount of mayo on it to really round out the flavor. The Meats — The bacon they use is outstanding: a thick cut, meaty bacon that was full of flavor and not stringy. The meats they use are extremely good and they offer a solid amount for the sandwich. The Décor — Theres something about the décor that is really unique to this company and the booths are a nice place to have a snack. Overall this is a great chain store and the staff was friendly.

The service and atmosphere is great, but since I almost broke my tooth on a piece of bacon, I will stick to Jimmy Johns. Otherwise, a nice place!

Think Quiznos, only better. I had never eaten at a Potbelly’s before I went to NIU, and this turned out to be quite the revelation. The toasted sandwiches are amazing, but the soups and shakes are lackluster.
