Unfortunately for our nice server, who did the best she could, this place was a serious disappointment for a «Relais Chateaux»(not to mention for a waterfront restaurant as well). I have been to over 5RC’s on the East Coast and to be totally honest I am not sure how they even got this status. We arrive to no parking or valet. We then were seated outside and asked for a Chardonnay, Martini and Cabernet. None of those were available. The bartender doesn’t come till 2pm thus no cocktails were being served. What? Could this seriously be a Relais Chateaux and they can’t serve a cocktail before 2pm? They had no Cabernet available. We waited over 20 minutes for our first glass of wine. Although we decided to leave before getting lunch(b/c it was clear that was going to be an unhappy endeavor) we did get a cheese plate to sustain us till we found a better spot. it was good. But truly nothing makes up for the fact you can’t get a cocktail, the wine list is not available and it takes a long while to just get 1 glass of wine and a cheese plate. If this is the new«Relais» we won’t be a fan.

This is the finest American and fish restaurant on the Florida East coast. The quality of the food, the attention to detail and the beauty of the room is phenomenal. I am afraid that the community may miss the point. It is not in an obvious place. There is parking but it is at first difficult to see. It needs a lot more PR. I hope it becomes a great success.

We were staying at the Royal Blues Hotel and wanted an easy but nice dining option that wasn’t one of the beachfront honky tonk places. The service was very pleasant if not slightly overly excited. Though I did have to accost someone other than our server at one point to get a drink refill. And the food took a very long time to arrive– or meal took two hours and we ordered right away and didn’t have dessert. The food is very expensive, but that is not my complaint as you expect that in such a hotel /location. It is that everything we got was simply mediocre. My wife got scallops which were well cooked but not terribly interesting. I got monkfish which was wrapped in Iberco ham and sautéed. Tasted more like ham than fish. Salad and amuse bouchée were the same — not bad, just not good. It was a middling experience. But the top off was taking a walk after dinner and seeing one of the chefs leave through the back door to hide in some bushes just off the property to smoke a butt. Hard to square that image with the supposed boutique rating of the hotel and restaurant. The hotel is certainly up to Relais & Château standards as we had a phenomenal room but the restaurant definitely is not.

I give 3 and a half stars. We have a house in Lighthouse Point and we often go to Deerfield Beach. Our friends in Deerfield told us about this hotel and restaurant, because we are from LA, and the owner is a film producer. One afternoon, we just walked into the hotel, it was cute, the manager was there and we chitchatted with him a bit and made a dinner reservation for that night. We decided to say for a little while and have a drink at the bar. The bar area was very cozy and felt like I was at somebody’s home. The manager was training the new bartender so he came to the bar with us and we chatted some more, he was nice. We came back for dinner later on, the restaurant had a fish tank above and very cool. The place was actually busier than I thought(I thought it was gonna be empty because of the off season), our waiter was very good, and also the manager took his time to come over to our table, it was nice! We did the 3 course dinner for $ 35/person, very reasonable, especially everything being natural/organic that I love… I loved the tuna garlic purée like dip for the bread, very delicious(wanted to lick the plate), but they didn’t have a frog leg, we really wanted to try it… My tuna appetizer was ok but my ribeye steak was grassfed(it’s hard to get grassfed beef in the US), it was cooked in perfect medium rare, and very tasty, but my boyfriend’s shrimp was mushy and wasn’t firm, too bad, my 75% cacao s’mores was very light and yum. We are planning on getting a room next time we are back in town, but hopefully the cook won’t over cook the shrimp next time…

Our experience here was indifferent. I’ve lived here for years my boyfriend and I have owned and worked in the business for years. The restraurant is beautiful from the fish tank on the ceiling to the beautiful table settings, our waiter Ron was a pleasure, we had the 3 course 35 $ summer meal. The tuna was bland, the salad they had in place of the frog legs outrageous! Soup yummy, for entrees we had hog snapper and my son had rib eye the roasted veg with the rib outstanding never or very few will roast artichoke hearts with stem on omg!!! Rib good, we had the hog snapper which was dry no sauce which would not have helped, we did not eat the fish dishes nor were we even compensated for a coffee, no wonder they are slow! I would try again but why when so many other great restraunts, the whales rib I would have enjoyed more! But great wine list gee the manager nice try it

I visited my friend in Delray Beach recently to escape the NYC area… and we stopped by this little gem. The restaurant was quiet that evening(off season, Tuesday night) so we got great attention from the servers, who were knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The wine suggested was perfect. I loved the warm bread served with a bottle of olive oil. The fish tank was amazing! The ladies room was extremely clean and modern(very important!) My only complaint would be that we loved the space so much, we asked the hostess if we could take a peek at a room for next time so we could suggest it to friends — she said no, unfortunately she didn’t have coverage so we wouldn’t be able to see a room that night but to come back tomorrow(my flight was for the next morning so… — also the restaurant was fairly quiet that evening so that didn’t really make sense to us). Regardless, we had a lovely evening in a setting that can’t be beat. 5 stars!

After my second visit I can now claim this restaurant a winner! Beachside dining in elegance — even with the summer heat we enjoyed the al fresco seating. Each dish was a delightful experience with surprising nuances in texture and flavor. Last night’s hog snapper and lobster dishes were exquisite. And the s’mores…fuggetaboutit! If you are accustomed to large portions and fast dining don’t go. If you want to enjoy a relaxing, elegant, epicurean evening — it’s a must.

Great location on the beach. Went for breakfast, it was truly a joke. Oj was great. Main plates were sparse looked like one egg and bacon nothing else on plate. Asked where the toast I had ordered was? Came 5 minutes after we finished. $ 50 for two orders of eggs and bacon and coffee one glass oj?

Relais Chateux in Deerfiekd!!! I first wrote that it was a place with a lot of promise. The service has improved since opening as happens. Gracious and lovely service our waiter, Ron, was charming and this second time here I heard him use my description for the tiramisu… Beautiful contemporary hotel and restaurant with well appointed spacious distance of tables in dining room. Slight tasting menu portions and dishes of mixed European and Mediterranean flavored. Complex tastes and textures. Seafood and see food in the gorgeous aquarium that is overlooking front dining area and adjacent pool. Great idea. Best off there is outdoor dining and beautiful views of beach. No outdoor lighting during turtle season– so sweet. Must come see before it becomes too crowded… And I hope it does. It is part of a boutique hotel right on the beach. Let’s hope it sets the tone for future venues…

Expensive for no reason . Beautiful location on the beach .like many others in Deerfield Beach. Portion is a bite size with a price of full dinner . While the quality is OK. I can’t see the reason.
