I just visited here for the first time after some other women I know recommended it as a place to go in Decatur which is what I was looking for. I called on a Tuesday and said that I needed a late appointment for single color. They were able to get me in with Lori for Thursday. I showed up a little early and they were super nice. I was offered a beverage and asked to please wait while Lori finished up with a client. I only waited about 10 minutes. They have a bunch of magazines to look at, and get this, they are NEWEDITIONS. I hate when I go someplace and hey have magazines for months ago. Once I met with Lori and explained what I was looking for, she confirmed it with me and went to mix the colors. She was very friendly throughout the whole process and gave me a wonderful shampoo. She also dried my hair which was great. The price was very reasonable and I have gotten a ton of compliments on my new color. I highly recommend her.

I get my hair cut and colored every few weeks. My stylist is great! However, the management at Sego has increased their prices two times in the last 5 months. The first increase didn’t bother me because I had gone there for three years with no increase. The second increase I was told by the young man at the front desk that it was a seasonal increase. This was ridiculous. Sego is going to price this customer right into another salon. Also, about the young man at the front desk. When he first started at Sego, he was polite. He has turned into a rude individual. He has smarted off to me on more than one occasion. Sego wake up. You are not an uptown Buckhead salon. Your prices should be reasonable and someone needs to teach this kid some manners of you are putting him at the front desk.

I have been going to Kristy(owner) since I was 21 years old(34 now). She has seen me through short cuts, Victoria Beckham’s bob, growing-out phases, the blondest of blondes to blonde ombré. Throughout these 13 years, I have never walked out of her salon a dissatisfied customer. Kristy communicates with me and, most important, she is honest with me. She gives me her expert advice and I value her opinion. Sego Salon is so much more than the chaotic, so-called world-class salons in and around Atlanta(and you know the ones I’m referencing). It has what others only dream of having: CHARM. I love my hair-appointment days because I get to chat with the girls and it feels like family — like sisters. Five stars for Sego. These hairstylists don’t have to try — it just comes naturally.

So I thought it would be a great idea to get a mohawk. You know, shave the sides completely mohawk. And it was great fun for a while. Until I had to grow it out. So I let it get as long as I possibly could(which really wasn’t all that long) and then I searched for a stylist who could make me look good again. This is how I ended up at Sego Salon. I saw the owner, Kristy, and she did a fantastic job with extremely little to work with. I’ve been going to her or her twin sister Jenny as my hair grows out and both of them have done a fantastic job of gradually making my hair look less harsh and much cuter. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and I’ll continue to go there myself!

I honestly was completely shocked that at the end of coloring my hair, she tells me it’s an extra $ 20 because I have thick hair, and then asks me if I want to get my hair dried. I of course said yes, thinking that was a very strange question, and then realized«wait, are you saying it’s another extra charge to DRY my hair??» and she said yes, it’s $ 15. That is the most insane thing I’ve ever heard, on top of the $ 80 charge for just a single color. I’ve always gone to nice salons and have never, ever, ever had to pay an additional charge to get my hair dried. I literally walked out with sopping wet hair, and couldn’t even tell if I like the color or not because it’s WET. I’m very disappointed and would never go back there. It’s a complete rip off.

Sonya has been cutting and coloring my hair for years. I love her new diggs — and the price is right! Great value for the price!

Love Sego Salon! It is in a small house on N. Decatur Road. Very cute and inviting place. The entire staff is wonderful, helpful, cheerful & talented. Kristy(one of the owners) has been cutting & coloring my hair for 12 years now. She is always honest about how a cut, style or color will(or won’t) work with my hair type & my lifestyle. Price is fantastic as well!

A friend of my daughter’s raved about Sego, and since I passed the little renovated house on N. Decatur Road every day, I thought I would give it a try. I was welcomed by a sitting room of aqua walls and yard sale furniture that was painted and upholstered to look darling. The sylists’ room was small with the space for 4+ stylists, so there was enough bustle without that overwhelming noise and activity feel. Rachael was immediately on my wave length with my hair and cut it the way I have needed it cut for a while now. She also did color which turned out silky and close to my natural color. I think I have found my stylist. The prices are fair and the location is convenient, right across from Melton’s. I really recommend Rachael. She is bright and knows her hair!

Sego Salon is the best hair salon I’ve found in Atlanta. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is unique, fun and relaxing. My stylist is Rachael… great with color!
