Great experience here last Friday night. The food was very good, we went to enjoy lobsterfest. Signed up for the email program and received a coupon for a free appetizer or dessert. We chose the bananas foster cheesecake and it was delicious! Our waitress was friendly and efficient.

Went here for Father’s Day yesterday. The service was pretty slow and our waitress just didn’t seem like she was all there. Messed up on our drinks multiple times. Had trouble ordering with food allergies. Pricey for the quality of food and quality of service. Probably won’t go back to this one. Sad, because RL is usually so good.

I had a very unpleasant experience tonight at the Red Lobster in Decatur, AL. I have some dietary restrictions and most restaurants including most Red Lobster’s are usually very accommodating. Most of the items that I could eat were grouped into meals with things that I could not. I asked if I could order these items a la carte and I was told no. So, I selected a meal that had the most things that I could eat, and asked for a substitute for the butter soaked shrimp scampi. I asked for the grilled version which was listed elsewhere in the menu. Simple switch– butter shrimp for grilled healthier shrimp. I was told no. I pressed the issue and they agreed but only if they charged me an up charge. The waitress asked me if this solution was satisfactory and I told her no, but I would have to make do. There were five people in our group. We waited for more than an hour for our food. When it arrived it was cold. Four of us ordered sides of broccoli. I only had four small florets on my plate, and the others had three. It was cold, tough, and seemed almost raw. My rice pilaf was way undercooked. The rice crunched as I tried to eat it. Betty, the waitress, came over several times to engage us in small talk as we waited for our meal. Each time she interrupted someone while they were talking. I would understand her interruptions if it was concerning the food, or to check if we needed anything. However, she just interrupted with random chitchat, and she never said excuse me. She also seemed to wander aimlessly throughout the restaurant. I can’t recommend this restaurant, and I definitely don’t think I will be going back there anytime soon.
