Foot is surprisingly good. Not a wide selection, we tried the oxtails, rice, yams and collards, southern food at its best. If you are at the hospital at meal time I would definitely give it a try.

Hospital food gets a really bad rap, and in most cases, this is deserved. Not so in the case of the DeKalb Medical Center cafeteria. There is a vegetarian option every day! The soup is good! The side veg is fresh! It’s reasonably priced! Nursing students get a discount! There are microwaves for those who brought their lunches! And they’re ACTUALLYOPENWHENYOUWANTTOEAT! If you have occasion to visit DMC, do stop by the cafeteria. The food is reasonably priced, readily available, and actually tasty. The only sticky wicket is the checkout; the cashiers, for whatever reason, take about 5 – 10 times longer to cash you out than at any other hospital cafeteria.
