Really good quality food, the chicken is all white meat, fast, good prices, nice people.

I go to this place to get Chinese because it’s close to where I live. The takeout time is usually 20min and I never had to wait to much longer. The girl who does the orders is nice and polite. The dinner portions are huge. The flavor of the food is more on the bland side. There is no pizazz or excitement. If you you just want to scarf down some Chinese food, this place will do.

My regular place was closed, so I decided to try this place. Big mistake! They were quite busy, and I was told an hour wait. I thought the food must be good; it wasn’t. I got there after an hour, and was told another 7 — 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, I got my food. Actually, the shrimp fried rice was good.(the reason for 1 star) The egg rolls were so tiny. The shrimp egg foo young had no flavor. The beef and peapods was a little tough. The plum sauce had bits of something in it — like pulp in orange juice — nasty. The fried shrimp was nasty — the breading was unlike anything I’ve had at other places. Next time I get an appetite for Chinese, and my place is closed, I’ll order a pizza. If you want good food, try Ming Sun in Melvindale — they are so much better!!!

Lim’s Garden chinese food is very good and tasty. This is my second time eating here. Both visit the food is fresh and hot. I will continue coming here if they keep this up.

About to place my order. This is our local go to place for ten years. Consistent and generous portions. The young lady who answers the phone and takes the order is always gracious and never goofs up the order, I have allergies and they are always careful with the preparations. It is not fancy but it is good. Fresh vegetables and good quality chicken. They make their own tofu too. Spicy pork with tofu is great. I can’t eat seafood but my hubby is a crab ragoon fan and has tried it all over the country and still likes Lim’s the best! The chicken egg foo pattie is super yummy! Carry out only usually busy.

This is great Chinese food. The only place close is pf changs. The portions on the dinner combos are huge with meat and I am a big eater. The only thing I don’t like is they won’t substitute fried rice for Lo mein but the Fried rice is better then the Lo mein so it works out. I live around the corner and I am a big fan.

Have tried this place 3 to 4 times and just do not enjoy it. Have called in a order before to be told 20 minutes for pick-up, arrived 20 minutes later only to wait for an additional 25 minutes for the order to be ready. The only item I enjoyed here is the Almond Boneless Chicken, fried rice is bland and sort of plain. Wife ordered Pepper Steak, and it was pretty awful, hardly any meat, and the sauce had the consistency of gelatin as it cooled, reheating would not make it better.

Adequate and standard American Chinese. All the usual items are available. Not a standout by any means, but very consistent and the portions are generous. I’ve never had a chicken dish here that wasn’t all white meat. Bonus– the person answering the phone speaks clear and fluent English. A word of caution: always ask for«no lettuce». «What? Lettuce??» you may be saying. Yeah… They have an unusual habit of putting a thin layer of semi-shredded lettuce in the take out container before adding the food. Naturally, it becomes wilted and soggy once doused in hot liquid. Of all the food faux pas one could commit, this is as heinous as pungent cheese on fish. But not a deal breaker, as it is easy to omit. Still… WHYYYYY. Overall, what you expect from an affordable Chinese take out.

I like this place. If you are the kind of person who consistently orders MSG laden overlooked Americanized crap from Chinese take out joints, stop writing reviews. It’s always going to be mediocre. But if you are looking for fresh veggies, a better grade of chicken or beef and a cook who knows how to stir fry really well, come here. I usually always order the vegetable subgum chow mein or the chicken subgum, no sauce… who wants that cornstarch crap anyway? But they do decent curry dishes and their spring rolls are pretty good(hint: regular egg rolls are always bad, no matter what restaurant). And although I don’t get it, my kids do, their sesame chicken is very tasty.

Eh, this place is ok. It’s not terrible, but its not standout either. The crispy dishes are sometimes a little soggy, and the lemon chicken is all lemon flavor, and not much. else. Still, it’s pretty cheap and the folks there are nice. No indoor seating … This is the quintessential takeout joint.

We had two experiences with Lim’s Garden. The first was a party for a friend. They got party-sized orders of a bunch of stuff and took it to their place. We thought it was pretty good, and since we hadn’t found a Chinese place in our area, decided to go back for some take out for our family. Unfortunately, our second experience left a lot to be desired. The food was not inedible but it tasted like they didn’t really care about what they were preparing and that all of the sauces came from big tin cans they got from their supplier. I’ve had a lot better Chinese take out.

The quest for Chinese food continues. I figured that I’ve been approaching this all wrong and need to seek out the more hole in the wall places… even more so than I’ve already been doing. I found this shop on some side street. The neon sign caught my eye from the main road. Since I was tired and not thinking straight, I just shot from the hip and ordered up a chicken broccoli dinner combo and a small beef with broccoli. The combo came with an eggroll and chicken fried rice. The eggroll was pretty crappy as is every eggroll that I have sampled in the area. It was filled with bean sprouts and relatively little meat. The fried rice was ok, but it consisted of just chicken and rice. The chicken with broccoli was ok. Pretty average chicken and broccoli stir-fry. There was a good mix of vegetables although they were cooked until soggy. The beef with broccoli was mediocre as well suffering from the same problem with the vegetables. The reason I’m giving this place 3 stars is that the food is pretty cheap and the food is no worse than anything else I’ve found in Dearborn. This is a takeout place. Expect to wait at least 20 minutes for your food from the time you order. The owners are pretty smart. On the night I went in, they stuck a 10 – 12 year old girl at the register and had her handle orders. Now, most people wouldn’t be able to yell and curse at a 10 year old girl(with the possible exception of myself and Lester, the only person who reads my reviews). This way they can take as long as they want in food preparation. Genius. Pure Genius. Bottom line: This place is cheap takeout.
