Best burger in town, but the seating sucks since it’s first come first serve. But worth it! Amazing gluten free bread! Very gluten free friendly.

I was in town for a conventions, and by myself for dinner one night. This is an EXELLENT place to have a beer and a burger or other food. The barkeep was nice, recommended a good beer to try and then I had the fish and chips. The fish was perhaps the best fried fish I have ever had. I did not have the«chips», had a veggie instead, which was also excellent. A great place in a fun area.

First time here for brunch, excellent sausage gravy and biscuit with hash browns, really really good coffee, good Bloody Mary that didn’t need all the garnish because so good in its own. And most importantly no wait, consistently steady but no one had to wait to be seated. It’s like an unknown gem!

I would give a better review for the service and atmosphere, which were absolutely great, but I guess I’m just a little disappointed in the fish and chips, where you got very little fish. Other than that I had a great time there.

I came here hoping the gluten free«bun» was good like the reviews but what I got was hardly edible. The top piece of the gluten free bun was so brown I couldn’t get a knife through it and the bottom was only slightly better. I removed the bun but the pastrami was also so tough I ate some of it but abandoned the sandwich all together. The sweet potato fries looked over cooked but actually was the saving grace of the plate and were quite tasty with the sauce. They should redo their recipe for a gluten free bun or at least not send something that bad out to a customer.

Lucky’s has fun, delicious foods and a killer selection of beers on tap! It is definitely a must-try with your besties! I’m still waiting for my time to go to Bingo with Brad, one of the most funny and chill waiters I’ve ever had!

Wow! A Dayton spot with a huge selection of amazingly good grub that meets all dietary restrictions. Like for reals, if you are a vegetarian and you’ve been drinking, you owe it to yourself to head in here and go to town. I started with the seitan nuggets with sweet and spicy mustard. They went as fast as I could breathe them in. Think vegetarian boneless fried chicken wings. Then I got the vegan tequila chili, which was top notch. And I settled in on my vegetarian Reuben. You can get it with a couple different meat choices or opt for either Lil’ Sipa Marinated Tofu or Veggie Turkey. It comes on marbled rye of course! So good. They have so many other choices though! Like the pesto grilled cheese with balsamic caramelized onions… wow. All the burgers can be made meatless with the following options: Quinoa, Seitan, Lucky’s Garbanzo(gluten free). And you know what? They have chicken and waffles… and bacon chocolate cake. So there’s that. Should I mention the house-made twinkies? Yo, and check this out: «We use only the highest quality, freshest ingredients, local when available. Everything is made from scratch and made to order. We are trans fat free and can accommodate special dietary needs. We feature a separate grill and fryer exclusively used for vegetarian cooking.» How can you beat comfort food that’s fresh, local, accommodates all dietary restrictions, and they even use a separate grill and fryer for the vegetarian options. I mean, I’m speechless… And as if that wasn’t enough, if you come in for brunch, they have these options: Vegetarian and/or gluten free biscuits & gravy — and yeah, they’re good. Seriously. Or you can get an avocado and goat cheese B.L.T with seitan in place of bacon if you like. Another vegetarian and/or gluten free option is the Buttermilk Oat Pancakes that are house-made. Get here early, and go often. You need more of this in your life.

4.5 Lucky’s was one of those places that didn’t match my expectations when I heard the name. When I hear Taproom, the last thing that I think of is that it will be a safe dining option for a celiac, but it was. I was happy to find out that not only did they offer gluten free options, but they offered vegan as well, including cheese! Their menu indicates the options that can be modified, like their sandwiches, to accommodate gf. They also have a separate fryer, so fries are an option. They make their own gf bread, which is some of the best I’ve had. They do up-charge $ 1 for this, but that is pretty standard and a fair price if you are new to the gf diet. The only downside to their bread is that it quickly fell apart, which also is pretty common with gf bread. Overall, Lucky’s was a safe and extremely reasonably priced dining option. Less than $ 10 for a safe and delicious gf meal. That’s a rarity!

I had a Lucky’s burger, which was supposedly topped with beer cheese, bacon, and red cabbage slaw, sandwiched between a brioche bun, with a side of fries. The burger patty itself was spicy and brought significant heat to the rest of the meal. The meat was well-ground and very flavorful. It wasn’t juicy, but it was moist enough to not be too dry and require a sauce. I’m not sure the bun they used was a real brioche bun. The bun was floppy and cold. If they had brushed the bun with butter and toasted it, it would have really enhanced the bread. The fries were pathetic. But I’m giving this place 4 stars simply because I thought the burger patty was fantastic.

Incredible vegan options!!! Very good food. Only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because sometimes the wait is way too long and the portions are inconsistent. One time I paid $ 6 for fried pickles and literally got 6 tiny fried pickle chips in my basket. I have never ordered that again. It’s also not the cleanest establishment, but it is kind of a dive bar so I can accept that.

Fried pickles were delish! Fries were slightly undercooked — but burgers and sandwiches made up for it! I’d go back — good service and overall a great experience :)

We went to Luckys last night for the first time with my sister and her fiancé. They were telling us how tasty the chicken fingers are here… And they were not kidding. I got the chicken and waffles and the rest of the gang got chicken fingers and sweet potato fries. Everything was on point! I highly recommend Luckys if you’re in the Dayton area. Note that it is small so you’ll have to wait for table.

Lucky’s is amazing hands down. I came in and was immediately greeted by the bartender and server and told that I could sit where I like. I chose to sit down at the bar and the bartender offered me a menu for food a menu for drinks. I decided that I wanted to get chicken and waffles with a side of fries and also tried out the Boston Stoker. Both were amazing! The chicken and waffles are amazing and I’d highly recommend them. The waffle is fluffy and pairs great with the chicken. The chicken tenders are lightly breaded, excellently seasoned, and so tender! I think I shed a tear while eating them. With the fries, I dipped them in their barbecue sauce with had the perfect blend of sweet and tanginess. Their drink menu has detailed notes I the flavor profile of their drinks and the Boston Stoker certainly delivered with its blend of coffee, tea, and chocolate flavors(you can ask for a sample beforehand). My experience with Lucky’s was definitely a memorable one and this will definitely be a place I’ll be visiting again! Went again on Taco Tuesday and had a great shrimp taco but it’s hard to beat their Chicken & Waffles. Landon was my bar tender both times and he’s a pretty chill guy. I’ll be back again when I’m in the area.

My burger was outstanding. I ate every single french fry, amazing. They are smart and have a description of beers on tap so you’re not bugging the bartender with a million questions. The food was wonderful, great selection of beer, and a friendly staff make this place more than just a ‘tap room’.

My favorite place to grab a bite and a craft brew here in Dayton, OH. Always a fun place to hang out. And the food is wonderful. I highly recommend the chicken fingers and the burgers. The Goat Burger really is the G.O.A.T. Crowd is diverse. Extensive menu choices to please everyone! Fries are a must.

You wouldn’t expect this place to serve grass fed beef or have vegan tacos because it looks like a dive bar that serves, well, bar food. The burger selection is pretty good and you can replace a beef patty with chicken or turkey which was super cool because I don’t eat beef. I will definitely try one or the other next time because this visit the FRIEDAVOCADOSANDWICH caught my eye. Perfect lightly breaded avocado on a whole grain bread with a sriracha aoli, lettuce and tomato! AMAZING. I scraped some of the aoli off because they were pretty generous with it and I got a side of the southwest sauce as well. SODELICIOUS! I also tried the fried pickles and cheese fries. I wish the cheese was a little more melted as it mostly still shredded. The pickles were well flavored and fried perfectly but its not a heaping basket full. The service was decent. Food came fast but the service kind of slacked on the refills and didn’t seem to know too much about the beers. Also, no lagers on tap the night we went…

We stopped here for brunch on our way back to Cleveland on a Sunday early afternoon. The place is long and narrow with the front half table service and the back is the bar. The bar was fairly busy(football), the tables about half full. We were told to sit anywhere we’d like so we took a table and our server was quick to get us our drinks. I ordered coffee, water and soda. The coffee was only luke warm, but very good coffee, not your average cup of joe. The water a bit salty, but the soda was perfect. The reason I am rating the soda is because a perfect soda can go a long way when you’re slightly hung over(went to a holiday party the night before), it’s like a miracle cure. My boyfriend ordered the Denver omelet, and his two sides, bacon and hash browns. He really enjoyed the omelet, a lot of cheese and peppers and onions and meat and whatever else comes on a Denver, the bacon cooked perfectly, crunchy, hickory smoked very flavorful. The hash browns were a huge let down though… it was like they took a little bit of hash brown and then just flattened the heck out of it on the grill. So all that was left was this really, really thin piece of overcooked inedible crispy hash brown patty, personally I like a little fluff in my potatoes.
I ordered the Avocado and Goat Cheese BLT. The menu said two sides unless otherwise noted, well it wasn’t noted otherwise anywhere for this entrée however when I placed my order the server told me only one side. Let down, but oh well, no big deal. I ordered the Ale-soaked Home Fries made with Rivertown’s Lil’ Sipa IPA… Sounds amazing right? Well not so much, the fries lacked any real flavor. Maybe it was because they were so thinly cut and too crispy(again a little fluff in my potatoes). The avocado and goat cheese BLT, was missing the avocado… Oops! By this time the restaurant had started getting really busy and all the tables were full, so it was a bit difficult to get the server’s attention. I finally did and they brought me some avocado. They were very friendly and very apologetic. My only real complaint about the sandwich was that the bread, although delicious and tasted homemade, was sliced too thick and the bacon, avocado and cheese were cut into tiny little pieces. The flavors were there, the sandwich was really good… I would only suggest either smaller bread or more avocado, bacon and cheese to fill it.
