I previously lived in Dayton and have moved multiple times since. I have never had such a great experience as I have here. Today, while traveling to Dayton for work, I freakishly broke my glasses on the plane. I drove directly to Downtown Dayton Optical, spent a few minutes chatting with the owner who remembered me from 4 years ago, and then fixed my glasses.
In a world that is so easily defined by businesses doing a poor job of serving and caring for people, this is a wonderful outlier.

This place has a wide range of modern, affordable frames. Service is excellent. I got 2 pairs the first time, 4 the next. The frames here were sturdier and much better looking than my pair of Warby Parkers. I learned my lesson of staying local and avoiding the marketing hype of other optical marketers.
