Steven J. Smith, MD

I have not been a patient of Dr. Smith for very long but he has helped me tremendously. Before this year I had insurance through my employer with a different medical group. When I switched onto my spouse’s insurance I was able to see Dr. Smith. He did a thorough exam on my first appointment, evaluated all the prescriptions I was on and made me feel like I was in good hands. He listened when I told him of a medical problem I was having and immediately sent in a referral for me to see a specialist. I had been dealing with this problem for over 2 years with very little relief from my previous doctors. They just wrote more prescriptions. Dr. Smith is an excellent primary care physician and I would recommend him to anyone looking for complete wellness care.

Dr. Steven Smith has been in Davis for a number of years and is a Family Doctor. Sometimes Family Doctor’s don’t have the training or specialty for certain conditions. The test of a doctor is if he or she is willing to make a recommendation for a specialist or a second opinion. Unfortunately, you can’t always rely of your local Small Town General Practice Physician to make that recommendation or support a referral to a specialist. Some doctors actually render an opinion even though they may not be qualified. Finding the right specialist for a specific condition is a daunting, grueling and time consuming task for the patient or caregiver.
