Overall I’ve had a below average experience with Paul’s Cleaners. They do a good job cleaning my shirts and suits, however they have lost a pair of suit’s trousers. I’ve asked to sew a button of a pair of pants but it did not get done the first time. They did a good job the second time. I think they should be more on top of their game and have better customer service. Also it was quite annoying when the woman at the counter denied loosing my $ 300 trousers.

I ruined my favorite BCBG dress by accidentally putting it through the wash. I was so devastated that the color had faded and wrinkled all over, so I decided to bring it in. The lady took a look at it and told me that ‘it’s a shame’ since the faded color was unfixable. She said she could still get rid of the wrinkles, so I left it with her. Picked it up in 2 days complete with plastic garment wrap. Sadness, but still a 5 for a cheap job well done(only $ 11), quick delivery, and honesty.

The woman was nice and in the end, I got my medium length pea coat cleaned. But the woman in the front said that it would take, I think about 4 days. But when I went into the shop on the 4th day, she said that she wasn’t able to get started on it yet and that I needed to wait at least another day to clean it and get all the lint off. I didn’t mind, although I would have appreciated a call since she did have my phone number. When I went to go pick it up, it looked great. But only the lint that was noticeable from the outside was taken off. As soon as I opened the coat to reveal just barely on the inside of the jacket, there was still a bunch of lint. It just seemed like she was rushing or didn’t care to really de-lint the entire coat. The coat did seem clean! But there were just too many little things to give it a great review.

I have a strong recommendation for this place. The story: I dropped off about 8 garments, and one pair of pants came back bleached(a few inches of stain on the crotch). I was _very_upset, and left them with Eunice, the nice Asian woman who runs the place. I came back today, 2 – 3 days later, ready to fight, beg, plead, cry, whatever, to try to get the money back for the price of the pants(~100 bucks). Hanging on the rack was a _new_pair of the same pants as well as my old ones. She tracked down the exact same pair, somehow. She even fitted me and hemmed them. Now, it is unfortunate that the old ones were stained, but this place got a customer for life when they made a mistake and then took care of me so well. Eunice, the woman who works there, said she paid for them with her own money. I’ve read(here) that the actual owner isn’t so easy to deal with. But as long as you inspect your garments with Eunice going in, I feel there is little to no danger. Basically, even though there was a problem here, I feel _any_dry cleaners will eventually ruin something. It’s how they deal with it that’s really important. Go here — support honest Davis business! (Prices are reasonable. Getting 8 – 9 things including a suit, 4 pair pants, 4 – 5 shirts was almost 40 bucks. I asked my dad, and it’s about right for quick, quality service.)
