I know the salon itself seems a bit… out dated, and me being in my 20’s living in Sacramento I’ve got plenty of friends and connections to the most trendy and upscale places. But, somehow Fran, this sweet elderly hair stylist, gets it right EVERY TIME I visit her. I get highlights/​low lights and hair cut & styled and I leave feeling like a hollywood star every time. I don’t really know why. I’ve paid close to $ 200 at other places, but have been so utterly disappointed with the results. But Fran knows what she’s doing and she’s pretty sharp. Any time I get a bad hairjob done at any of these hip places, I just go to her a few weeks later and she fixes it. But, it’s all in your preference I suppose.

I love the way Fran does my hair. She’s a really stylish woman who stays up on styles and will help you figure out what will look best on your face – if you don’t have any ideas yourself. I’ve learned to trust her with my color and my cuts and I always get tons of compliments – makes me feel younger and stylish. Chuck retired now and Fran gave the shop a complete re-​do. Looks soooo much better and more contemporary. Affordable prices; great conversation!

NEVER get your hair cut here, not that I know anyone who does. I walked in off the street and received the worst hair cut of my life at this establishment. The entire back of my head looks like I cut it myself. I think I am going to go back tomorrow and ask for my money back.
PLEASE, for everyone’s sake… hang up those scissors girl, or get some better bi focals! The woman and man who own this place are ancient and very sweet… so I almost feel bad giving a bad review, but it really was the worst haircut I have ever had.
