The breakfast burrito was so good! It was a bit messier than expected with the sauce, but it was totally worth it. The cashier was very nice and the cooks were quick. So if you looking for a quick breakfast before class, I would definitely recommend this place!

Really appreciated that this place existed throughout my 4 years in Davis, the Aggie Kabab is a real treat and the breakfast burrito is my to-go lunch. Wonderful place with budget-friendly price for a college student!

LOVETHISPLACE!!! The 5 stars are solely for their breakfast burritos cause that’s the only thing I order from here. The first time I ate the breakfast burrito, it just tasted off to me. There’s a sweet/spicy honey sauce that they put in it, and the burrito just tasted kinda too sweet for my taste buds in general at first. Two days later I started to really crave the burrito again despite my initial thoughts, and I’ve found myself ordering two burritos a week since then. It’s cheap and super filling! TIP– get a stamp card even if you don’t think you’ll order that many burritos… cause you probably will and get addicted and who wouldn’t want a free burrito after buying 6???

This place is great. I usually go here a few times a week. They serve breakfast burritos all day and they are awesome. I’ve also had their vegetarian plate which comes with dolmas, falafel, salad, rice, and hummus. Their burgers are good and so are their gyros. Also their beers on tap are $ 2.99 which is awesome. And their daily specials are really good and are a lot of food. I’ve never had a bad meal here. I highly recommend it.

Actually, I’m quite pleased overall with Ali Baba. It’s less than a minute walk after you step off campus and the food is pretty quality. Now if you are stopping by between classes to pick one up, be careful. I’ve waited all times between 0 seconds(received immediately after ordering) to 20 minutes after ordering, just depends when it gets busy. I’d always give myself enough time to order and eat there JUST to get it, then take it to go if you have to make it for class, but if you have work you’ll be a mess so just get it for here. TBH, i’m one of those hypocrite«healthy eaters.» I love me some salads and fresh/raw veggies, but i also love steaks and things that taste good cause of how many ingredients have been added. My favorite menu item is, as it should be, the breakfast burrito. It’s delicious yet my body doesn’t feel gross and slugish after eating it, I feel fueled and ready to go! Don’t worry, the fries don’t make it SUPER unhealthy, just think of tater tots for breakfast in the shape of long sticks? I’ve tried the veggie burrito and it’s quite good as well, but personally, I’d order it minus the tomatoes next time, they add too much liquid. Get a stamp card, because you WILL be back to get more after this(it also works for the weekly special) Now here a few tips: 1) The BB is definitely not something you can eat while walking, at least not if it’s your first time. What you’ll want to do is take it to a place you can sit with it, maybe a table? and bring lots of napkins-you’ll be a mess afterward(ALSO get some jalapeño ranch sauce if you like spicy, you won’t regret it.) So roll up your sleeves! 2) Hopefully you can slowly unwrap the end and figure out which is the bottom end(there will be delicious juices dripped more from that end) and start on the opposite one. Now you can just start eating. Depending on which cook made your meal, you may already be dripping all over the place-it’s a tapatillo and honey mixture. Delicious in the mouth but the devil on your sleeves(remember when you didn’t roll up your sleeves like I said?) 3) Slather on some sauce, bite, chew, and swallow, repeat until no longer applicable. 4) You need to wash your hands now, but don’t be discouraged in the least! Your skill will improve every time. For example, I recently go it to go and ate it in class, successfully! You won’t regret it. It’s cheap, filling, and definitely sufficient for lunch.

The grilled onions on my Aggie Kabob were awesome. The rice is really good. The chicken was yummy though a bit charred. Ordered a small hummus for my kid but it was too spicy for a little one. Tried a bit of the gyro and loved it. Service was fine and place was clean. Food is cooked to order so a bit of a wait.

Breakfast burritos all the way, man! I’ve only gotten the veggie ones so far, because the ones with beef gyro seem so heavy, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them every time. One past occasions, I’ve also had their burgers, fries, and the Aggie Kebob. It’s been a while, but I remember enjoying the burgers and fries, and that the Aggie Kebob was massive, though I remember it being too oily for my taste. It’s been a long time since I sat inside to eat, but I remember it getting hot, at least in the summer. I mostly call in for a burrito now, and dash in to ay and grab my food. Also! Get a burrito stamp card! I think it’s hilarious that they have a stamp card specifially for their burritos(and specials), but it makes sense because they’re delicious. You only need to buy 6 to get a free one — what!

I usually come here in the morning or the afternoon for their breakfast burrito, but it’s actually served all day! They even have a vegetarian option, though I have never tried that one. The breakfast burrito is honestly something that I crave all the time. It’s quite large and dense with hearty ingredients! Personally, I cut the burrito in half and am able to eat it for two meals. It has these wonderful triangle potatoes that have just the right crunch, eggs, sausage, bacon, and best of all… their sent from heaven sauce that kind of tastes like honey with the slightest spicy/sourness. I also love that it’s right next to campus because it’s totally an encouragement to wake up for my 8 a.m. if I know I’m going to treat myself to their breakfast burrito right after hehe. The restaurant itself is not very big so it can get quite packed and busy during lunch hours. I know that when I graduate this quarter, I will definitely miss this establishment!

Ali Baba is a tiny restaurant located right by campus. It’s a great lunch spot if you’re on campus but otherwise it’s a bit tough to find parking. There’s some street parking but if you can’t find any you can park at the park. The restaurant itself is tiny and only has a few tables. It also has awful ventilation and I’m guessing no A/C because it is always hot and humid in there. Honestly Ali Baba is one of those places I always forget about in Davis but when I remember it I get the strongest cravings and I have to get it ASAP. I’ve tried a stray bite or two of their curries and kebobs. They’re all pretty good but nothing particularly memorable. But as much as I preach trying new things, I will always return to my beloved Aggie Kebob. The Aggie Kebob is one of the few forms of chicken I actually crave. I’m terrified of dry chicken but in my 4 – 5 times getting the aggie kebob, I’ve never had dry chicken. I always get half/half(half salad half rice) with grilled onions. The grill taste really stands out and they make sure your onions don’t have any of that raw edge on them. All the components really balance each other out and it’s all tied together with their simple vinaigrette. On top of that, the price is really good for the portion size. I can eat a ton and I always end up with leftovers. Overall I love Ali Baba and even though I don’t live in the area any more I’ll still consider returning.

Bomb portion sizes, food is always fresh. The restaurant has a quaint atmosphere. Great change from the typical burrito/burger joint. Parking is difficult, I recommend parking near Black Bear then walking over. Must at least check them out :)

BREAKFASTBURRITOS! I got the veggie breakfast breakfast burrito which was packed with avocado, mushroom, egg, cheese, and fries. It was super good — perfect combination of savory, sweet, and spicy for only $ 6. I wish I discovered these amazing breakfast burritos earlier. They’re also great for hangovers.

Two words: Breakfast burrito(BB). This small Mediterranean diner serves diner food, Greek/Middle Eastern plates, but also one of the best breakfast burritos ever. I now call in sometimes and look forward to 9:30AM just so I can get my late-morning deliciousness. What is so great about BB? The fries. The beef gyro. The crispy bacon. The cheese. The hint of sriracha. But most of all, the amazing honey that tenderizes everything and makes it all blend together into savory deliciousness. It mixes sweet and savory perfectly, and is a great way to start your day. I tried some of the daily specials but nothing compares to the great breakfast burrito here. For $ 6, it’s jam packed with calories and deliciousness. THANKYOUBASEDALIBABAFORTHEBURRITO!!!

I only ever get one thing. Breakfast burrito all the way. It’s pretty good for a decent price, and they have a stamp card system that gets you one free burrito for every 5 that you buy. Ali baba is nice because its close to campus and fairly quick with service. Not much to say, but definitely worth going to if you’re in the mood for a breakfast burrito and you don’t have much time. =)

Took forever for them to make my food, and when I got it I was very underwhelmed. Even people who ordered after me got their food, which was really annoying! The girl taking my order seemed a little rude too. I ordered a hamburger, with a chicken patty instead of beef, and home fries. The fries needed salt, and the burger reminded me of something you’d get at McDonald’s. It only came with lettuce, a few slices of pickles, and a white sauce(tahini?). The silver lining: it only cost $ 6.54. So if you are near the MU, are starving, want something cheap that’s not from the CoHo, then go here. If you don’t mind spending $ 2 more for a better quality burger, then don’t go here.

*haven’t been since they’ve remodeled cause I moved out of Davis, but it’s probably even better now* Aggie Kebab — that’s probably how you’ve heard of this place. Absolutely delicious, they also offer the junior size, which is perfect for one meal, but you might as well get the full size cause it’s two meals of greatness! You get the option of all rice, half rice/half salad, or all salad. I always get the half and half option because the rice is so good — super fluffy, but I always want some greens with my meal! The dressing is really good too. The chicken is always juicy and somewhat charred, just how I like it! Always add grilled onions, it’s worth it for the 45(?!) cents they charge. I could eat a whole meal of just those onions. I always get a side of tzatziki sauce, get it, it completes the meal! I’ve gotten the Lamb Kebab also and it’s good, but not worth the price when I can get an Aggie Kebab! If I’m craving lamb, I’ll get it in a gyro cause it’s less pricy, but that’s only one meal’s worth. The grilled onions that come in the kebab aren’t the *~SpEcIaL~* grilled onions, so once again, pay the extra money, cause the grilled onions are the best!!! Breakfast Burrito — probably the other reason why you’ve heard of this place. It’s good, I get the vegetarian one because I like avocados and mushrooms more than I like bacon! I believe you can swap out the beef for chicken, if you’re not a fan of red meat, but don’t quote me on that. The breakfast burrito(vegetarian or not) is so good! The honey + Tapitio in it makes it different than others, and I love it! I always ask for light Tapitio though because sometimes it can overpower the rest of the burrito. If you do get the vegetarian burrito, careful of eating it because it does get *~jUiCy~* at the bottom from all the mushroom juices, but that just makes it so much yummier! Also, like the gyro, the grilled onions in the breakfast burrito aren’t the ~*SpEcIaL*~ ones, so pay the extra few cents! Totally worth it! I constantly crave Ali Baba’s, definitely first food stop when I go back to Davis!

I LOVE the breakfast burritos here! I think they might be the best breakfast burritos in Davis. It has eggs, beef(Mediterranean style), French fries, honey and Mediterranean seasoning. The honey is my favorite part and I’ve never seen that anywhere else! It has a great sweet and mild spicy flavor. I appreciate that they serve breakfast burritos all day long, unlike some other places that only serve them in the mornings. Also, priced at $ 5.50 it is pretty affordable too. At the condiments counter they have a jalapeño ranch sauce that I love to dip my breakfast burrito in it. The happy hour pints are also really cheap! They also have other Mediterranean foods but I like the breakfast burrito so much I’ve never tried anything else. All in all I rate this place 4 out of 5 gyros!

VEGGIEBREAKFASTBURRITO! Omg! Where have you been all my college life?! So a UCD student brought me here and told me 10⁄10 of the people he introduced to this dish loved it. I was skeptical, but he was right! Love at first bite! I devoured it before I remembered my Unilocal etiquette of photographing before eating. Inside you’ll find honey, fries, cheese, eggs and mushrooms. You can choose to have onion rings put inside. HUGE. DONOT miss out on their jalapeño ranch. I loved this sauce even though I don’t like jalapeños. Minus one star for their bathroom located oddly inside their kitchen with a brown stained sink. Not appetizing to see, but you’ll have to go here to wash the honey off your hands.

I did not find this place appealing at all, like the name, the outside, the difficult cramped street parking, and my girlfriend telling me about an amazing breakfast burrito? Like what? How great can a breakfast burrito even be? Nothing had me drawn to this place because I couldn’t see what could be so great. So one fortunate morning, I was taken here and turns out I fell in love with that amazing breakfast burrito. SO much that I ended up coming the next day as well. Even almost came back a third day, but unfortunately I did not have time. The only complaint I had was that the second day they accidentally lost our order by dropping out receipt so we waited 40 mins but mehhh. The breakfast burrito which is served all day has eggs, bacon, beef gyro, cheese, fries, honey, and tapatillo. Something about the honey they put in makes this not your ordinary breakfast burrito. It’s so packed with potatoes and other stuff, the flavors come together so well! Half of the burrito was enough for me to be full. They also have sauces on the side and we really liked the jalapeño ranch! I will definitely be returning!

+ THEFOOD I wanted to order the chicken gyro but they apparently ran out of pita bread! However, they told me that I could have it over rice instead so I opted with that. The chicken was a bit burnt but was really flavorful. I loved the grilled onions along with the fresh veggies. The portion size was huge so you can definitely split it into two meals. My friend’s Aggie Kabob also looked ginormous and delicious as well. — THEENVIRONMENT Although my friends and I came later at night for dinner, the place was still so extremely stuffy. I guess they’re not a huge fan of AC because there was only 1 tiny fan circulating the air in the room. The tables are also a bit small so we had to combine a whole bunch of tables to fit us.

There seems to be an ongoing pattern with me… All these great restaurants in Davis and I decide to try them my last year here. Don’t ask me why :(So if you’re reading this and you’re deciding where to get your next meal, look no further and go to Ali Baba’s for the Aggie kabob! The Aggie kabob is what Ali Baba is known for, besides the breakfast burrito. The kabob consists of a marinated chicken over rice(I always choose to get half rice, half salad because veggies are good for you!) and topped with grilled onions. Make sure you always get the onions because they’re soo good! The portion is huuuge too. I always have enough leftovers for a filling lunch the next day. It does take 15 minutes to make so keep that in mind if you’re in a rush.
