Primo Liquors

I have been shopping here since they opened 10 years ago. The store recently went thru a slight upgrade. That is all it needed. I come here for great advice on really great priced wines. They always seem up on what the competition sells the same vintage for, they are always less. So if you want great service from knowledgable people you gotta shop here and support a local store. Don’t expect a fancy store but you can expect a great selection with great prices.

Most knowledgeable people I’ve ever met in this industry. The prices here beat those found in warehouse stores and their wine selection can’t be beat.

This place is a gem, they are always right on with their wine recommendations. I’ve discovered so many of my favorite wines here, recommended to me by the guys that work there. The wine tasting I attended was one of the better ones I’ve been to, I go out of my way to come here

To be honest I’ve been going here for years now! They give the best recommendations and no one can beat their prices! It’s family owned and they are all around great people in every aspect. Much respect to them and their continued growth with others stores. I highly recommend visiting any of their locations!

Primo’s liquor is great. Every time I ask for a suggestion, it never fails to be great. They take care of their customers and have a free tasting once a month.

My friend recommended me this store so I went to check it out and was nicely surprised. Their selection of wine and liquor is top notch. This liquor store has everything you need and is very convenient. Kaushal is very knowledgeable, friendly and recommendation he gave me for wine were a hit. I’m looking forward to shopping there again. 5 stars all the way

PL is tucked away in the Publix plaza on Griffin by I-​75. Kaushal knows how to take care of his customers. I came in looking for an Elmer T. Lee bottle. He went out of his way to find out if it was coming in on his next delivery. Points. I ended up with the juice I was looking for & look forward to coming back for my alcohol needs.

I love this place! Kaushal always has a phenomenal selection of amazing wines! He’s extremely knowledgeable as well, so if he doesn’t have what you’re looking for his recommendation for something similar is usually on point. He had one of my favorite Pinot Noirs from the Willamette Valley in Oregon that no one else had and he had it incredibly priced. I don’t live anywhere near Davie, but it’s worth the trek every now and again to stock my wine fridge. (Yikes, I used Siri to dictate my original review and just notice a bunch of errors — apologies)

This is a great liquor store that treats the average customer, like a superstar. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The store was fully loaded and the prices were great. They also had a large selection of cigars and took the time to help customers make great choices.

The most knowledgeable and friendly staff of any liquor store I’ve been too. Great prices too. If you have a chance to go to one of their tastings you’ll really get to try some nice things. The only downside is that you’ll want to buy everything. Their other location is just as great.

As far as south florida goes, this place has all your scotch, whiskey, and bourbon needs. The people who run it are amazing. Best store in FTL and possibly best in South FLA. Check it out.

Very nice owners who REALLY KNOW ABOUT LIQUOR. They won’t try to sell you anything outside your budget rather get you the best tasting and unique brands WITHIN your budget. Great tastings and always a sample sitting by the register. Cheers!

I’ve been here many times before and each time I have to say customer service is awesome! The owner and family always says hi and gets to know what you like to drink. On several occasions he has offered samples from different bottles to try the new stuff or just ones we’ve never tried before. (I don’t know anywhere else that does that!) The employees know their stuff about all they carry and they have a lot of bottles way cheaper than other liquor stores.
Honestly I enjoy coming here every time to talk crap with the owner or who ever is working and trying new things that i’ll end up buying. Great place!

This is a great liquor store and not just because they deliver. It’s cool that they send out text blasts with offers and have social events and tastings at the store but what’s best of all is their service. Whenever I go into this store, even if they don’t recognize me, they treat me like a star and make me feel like I am a valued customer! and yeah, like I said earlier, they deliver!

Ok place for wine.

THEY DELIVER. It’s a $ 5 delivery charge, but they deliver. No minimums, no nothing. Just call your order in, and it’s at your door. That way, you’re not driving drunk, and they’re getting you what you want. Reasonable selection, from really inexpensive to mid-​ranged to more fancy if that’s what you want. Friendly staff for sure.

The customer service is why I go to primo liquors. They always have what I want for a good price, the selection is always good, and like I said the two owners are always friendly and willing to help. They even stayed open a couple extra minutes for me so I can pick up my favorite bottle of Jack Daniels on my way home from work even though it’s after hours!

I took a trip to Primo today after reading all the positive reviews. I expected to find a world-​class, independent liquor store that was going to «Wow» me. I have to admit, I was «Wowed.»
I was «Wowed» by the garbage in the front of the store. I don’t mean low-​end liquor, I mean I was greeted by a bunch of open, empty liquor boxes piled up right as I walked through the door. The pile went all the way to the ceiling! While I can certainly appreciate (and, quite honestly, prefer) a Mom-​and-​Pop business, the store’s ambiance was less than attractive. Plywood shelves that looked like they were ready to collapse under the weight of the liquor crammed on the shelves, dark lighting that made things difficult to see, and, again, the garbage at the front of the store. Talk about «Wow!»
I was «Wowed» by the salesman who was all over me like white on rice. Good grief, it was like he had never considered the concept of someones personal space! I’m married, and while I normally hold hands with my wife when we walk around, even she and I don’t stand that close together. I kept trying to slide away from him and it was like we were joined at the hip. It was downright creepy. If I was a woman, I’d guess I’d start to feel worried.
I could have chalked this up to my being brand new to the store and a nervous salesman who didn’t know a customer, except I didn’t go in there looking like a schlemiel. I was groomed and dressed nicely.
The salesman kept doing the hard sell on me on things I didn’t want. I would look in the direction of the vodkas, he would try to sell me on a vodka. I then looked toward the whiskeys, and he was trying to sell me on brands I wasn’t even considering. At no point did he even do what a crafted salesman would do — he never asked me what I was looking for. Isn’t that a Sales 101 FAIL? Talk about a major «Wow!»
Some of the pricing was attractive — so attractive I couldn’t help but wonder how they were making money on some top-​shelf, pricey liquor. Other top-​shelf, mid-​priced liquor was $ 8 more a bottle than I’d pay elsewhere… in fact, it was more than I’d pay at several other elsewheres. I took notice of that bottle and the salesman began to tell me how difficult it was to find that particular product. Another «Wow» because I know a few other liquor stores in South Florida that have it in stock (and, again, about $ 8 less than Primo). Lying to a customer? Another Sales 101 FAIL!
I wound up leaving without making a purchase because, at this point, I was so creeped out by the salesman that I just couldn’t take it anymore. I left and went to a store I was more familiar with and where browsing is welcomed.
Wow. Just wow.

Exactly what I’m looking for in a shop. Good selection, great prices, and friendly staff. The owners are knowledgeable on their wines and always give me a great deal. They also have free wine/​liquor tastings to taste the new arrivals! Thumbs up.
