The food was good but the staff was better.

This place is great! I always eat here and get the different chops and love there wings and flatbread pressed sandwiches… My favorite sauce is the curry but love the garlic cilantro… every time I go in there the staff is smiling… oh there is 2 brothers that run this joint and no wonder the food is great and the staff smiling… I always talk to one of them when I come in… Billy and John… I hope they stay in business a long time especially now because I’m eating healthy and can tell them exactly how I want my food!

Had the small size «Latin Chop»: chopped chicken breast over a bed of yellow rice and topped of with lettuce & tomatoes. The food was very descent and the portion size was more than I expected that I made two meals out of it :-)
I would come back to this place — given the quality/​quantity I think the price is worth it. :-)

Awesome chicken, always fresh and tastes better than Pollo Tropical across the street. I got the Latin Chop in regular size and the portion isssss good, also they give you a pita with the plate. I find it a little bit pricey but I guess for the portion they serve is justifiable. They have delivery so that’s a good feature. The chimichurri sauce is fire!!! I have two of those and poured them into the plate.

The gentleman chopping the chicken needs to be patient with his staff or his staff the other way around. Very rudely were arguing and cursing at his co-​worker in front of customers. Chopping man, learn some patience or you will go out of business with that attitude; you should be old enough to know this already.

Natural Chicken Grill is my go to place when I want get take out for my kids and I don’t want to get them traditional fast food. It is really like Chicken Kitchen, but better. I don’t know if the chicken itself is better than Pollo Tropical, but they offer a variety of «chops’ that my boys like. They really hate to eat plain chicken off the bone.
12 year old likes the «Natural Chop»: chopped grilled chicken over yellow rice. 10 year old’s standard is the «Crispy Buffalo Chop»: buffalo sauce, blue cheese dressing, lettuce, tomato, & cheese. 10 year old substitutes grilled chicken for the chicken tenders. I have also had the «Asian Chop». With marinated thigh meat, oriental sauce, lettuce & tomato served over white rice, it is delicious. There are also several other chops including «South of the Border», «Chicken Fricassee», and more. At times we have also ordered shrimp or Churrasco chops. They are good but run the price up an extra $ 2 per chop.
The chops are pretty customizable. You can change the rice and get brown or white rice. All of the chops come with your choice of sauces. Our favorite hands down is the garlic cilantro. The chicken chops come in two sizes, Junior, which range from $ 6.19-$ 9.99 and the regular, which ranges from $ 9.19-$ 9.99. Believe me, if the junior is big enough to satisfy my 10 year old, it should be big enough to satisfy most appetites!
I have also had the plain grilled chicken there. A quarter white with one side is $ 6.69. The chicken is usually grilled fresh but the flavor is just okay. Let’s face it, most grilled chicken is just plain boring. I have never liked the sides at Natural Chicken Grill at all. They always seem to me like they have been sitting there for hours and never seem fresh. For example, the Balsamic Tomatoes are just drenched and saturated with dressing. The Steamed Veggies are overcooked and sad. The Black Beans are flavorless and the PIta comes out of a bag and it sometimes stale.
So yes, I would stick with the chops. Also, do take out if you can. Natural Chicken Grill has a small area to eat in but it’s really not a sit down restaurant. They do have delivery in the area. I have seen knocks on the servers but they are not too bad. At one point I was in there almost every week and I never even got a hello or hint of recognition. However, once I started engaging the servers more, they tended to be much morey friendly. On the whole, not a fabulous place, but quick and reliable. If it closed, my family would miss it. Hey, at least they have never run out of chicken when I go there, like the Pollo Tropical across the street!

This place is so nostalgic for me. It’s so simple, healthy, and one of my most favorite lunch places in Broward. Chicken Kitchen tries to replicate what they have but NCG will always be better! They have the ORIGINAL garlic cilantro dressing for their chop chops and you can taste the difference. They’ve recently made some nice updates to their dine-​in area which is nice to see as they’ve been here for a long time. They have way more chop chop options than the other place and their wings, pita pockets, and salads are also really good. I always get a special chop chop with brown rice (one scoop) and I always ask them to use the romaine lettuce which they never mind substituting. Their service is always fast and their staff is always friendly and welcoming!

The food is good but the HORRIBLE/​TERRIBLE/​INCONSIDERATE/​LACKADAISICAL/​RUDE/​customer service outweighs any food this place serves. I have ordered chicken grill twice in the last two weeks for delivery, only to be called an hour and 15 minutes later to be told «sorry, we don’t have a delivery driver to bring you the food tonight». What a shame that a restaurant with such potential has left such a bad taste in my mouth. When I try to reason with whomever calls me, they give me SO much attitude, it’s taken everything for me not to call the corporate office and file a complaint. If youre gonna eat here, go to the actual store and DONT order delivery. 9 out of 10 times, they’ll call you and disappoint you by saying their delivery is unavailable. Also, if they DO deliver, their usual delivery guy is rude. Such a disappointment.

PROTEIN!
I really like this place for take out. It’s fast and delicious, and it makes eating chicken work for me. I will be honest. I have had so much chicken in the last couple years, that the word, chicken, turns my stomach anymore. I am just sick of it. It’s pretty much everywhere I go for lunch, but l find myself paying a bit more for beef because I am so tired of chicken. There comes a point though, when I am tired of beef too. Then I can branch out and get seafood, and really pay more, or perhaps go for pork. Those two options are not so readily available, so I start getting creative.
This place helped me with this dilemma. I found that I can tolerate chicken with the «Chops.» They have different varieties here, and my favorite is the South of the Border Chop. It comes with a bed of yellow rice, then chopped up chicken, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and guacamole, sprinkled with cheese on top. Yum! I get the Garlic Cilantro sauce also for extra YUM! By the time I mix that bad boy up, I barely notice I am eating chicken! It also comes with a Pita but I usually am too full to eat that. The ducks love it when I have left over Pita.
It’s worth noting that every chop dish is customizable as they put it together while you watch. It seems like more and more of these types of places are popping up these days. There is another well known (and over priced) chain in the area, but I am not such a fan of that place because the meat is seasoned a bit too strongly for me, and I can’t really control which flavors I am taking in. This place makes this less of an issue for me. Plus I think the pricing is better here for the value of the food, and the atmosphere is more laid back.
I have found the service to be efficient and friendly. My only issue with the place is the location. It’s just East of University Dr on Nova Dr. Getting in is easy, but leaving is tricky as you can’t turn left when exiting the plaza. It’s kind of a pain to get back out to University from here.

I’m a regular and love their chops, latin chop (rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, chicken) with garlic cilantro being my favorite. In terms of healthy take-​out food, this is up there for me and it makes me feel I can come here regularly without feeling guilty about it. Prices are great and they offer a student discount.

I love this place! I usually get delivery but I’ve dined in a few times as well. My delivery is always within an hour of me ordering except one time when they had a new driver and she got lost… Took close to 90 min to get my cold food. The food is always good and fresh. I’ve never once had a bad experience and I dine in or order from them at least once a month.

First timer. You line up and tell the chef behind the counter what you want and he puts it together in front of your eyes. Everything here seems to be fresh and made in house. You can see all the ingredients, iced or in hot trays… kind of like Chipolte. They are grilling their own chicken right behind the prep counter. The specialty seems to be «chops» where they take some fresh grilled chicken and use two cleavers to chop it up and mix it with various ingredients and have it served on a plate, as a wrap or a salad. I had a fajita flat wrap which was chicken, rice (white brown or red) black beans guacamole and sour cream, in a big wrap (spinach, tomato, wheat or regular) which is then grilled (kind of like a cross between a burrito and a panini!). It was huge and delish. And pretty darn healthy too! I will be back.

I like this place. I have been here several times. I like the food. I like the people. I like the portion size.
But — they are dishonest.
In the enclosed picture you will see that the menu says that the price of the Latin Chop is $ 7.19. You will see 2 separate receipts showing that they charged me $ 7.39 for the Latin Chop.
It seems that they charge every customer an additional $ 0.20.

Very rude! Horrible customer service. The person who made our food didn’t understand English and it was very hard to communicate. Way overly priced for fast food which is just ridiculous. Never will return and deff don’t recommend. Food was not even average.

Great portion size! One visit usually is about three meals for me! Staff is always friendly and it’s perfect to grab and bring back on your lunch break– plus they give discounts to students with ID!

Ok seeing that I am the duke then I guess I have an obligation to write a review. Natural Chicken grill is like Chicken Kitchen 2.0. From the original «chop-​chop» of chopped chicken breast and yellow rice this menu has evolved to a multitude of chop choices and now has several proteins besides chicken including shrimp, churrasco, and tilapia.
My go-​to menu choice is always the regular Latin chop on brown rice and no lettuce. Lately, if I don’t want to eat so many carbs I’ve been substituting the rice for romaine lettuce (wish they had spinach) with the black beans drained. It’s been a surprisingly awesome salad that doesn’t leave me hungry.
The service is always friendly here and service is very quick unless there is a huge line. They also offer a 10% off Nova discount and free sides (chips, cookies, etc) depending on the day.
Overall a great quick, healthy option!

I can’t believe I haven’t Unilocaled Chicken Grill! This is definitely the best place in town for chicken whether it be for chicken dinner, wings or chops. They give you a nice portion of food and their prices are very competitive with other chicken places. One of the women that works there always remembers me and says hi when she sees me. I usually get the ¼ chicken if I am by myself or my wife and I order the whole chicken with sides. The beans and rice are very good as well as the sweet potatoes and the pita bread is always fresh and warm. The garlic sauce in the best although the curry sauce isn’t bad either. They also offer a 10% discount for college students which is nice since college students like to get things as cheap as possible. The only complaint I have is that they hired a new guy (or at least I hadn’t seen him before) and when I told him that I wanted the garlic sauce instead of the blue cheese for the wings, he replied, «Whatever floats your boat.» I didn’t say anything in return but I gave him a look that did all of the talking for me. That sort of response is simply inappropriate and I am fairly sure that from what I saw about this guy’s work habits and attitude, he won’t be employed here much longer. Everyone is so nice and friendly and then this guy is dumpy and cold. I’m usually not a proponent of letting people go but in this case, I see it happening sooner than later.
To end on a good note, if you haven’t tried this place, do so when you are in the mood for chicken.
They deliver to a limited area which is even better!

I love this food it becomes something you crave.
It’s a small place that serves natural grilled items like chicken, beef, shrimp, and choice of sides; brown rice, white rice and yellow rice, black beans, plantains, and choice do delicious sauces; curry, creamy cilantro, and chimichurri all which are great.
I recommend getting your food to go it’s more a «to-​go» atmosphere
I love the Steak Churrasco with the chimichurri sauce and curry sauce, the yellow rice is tasty the brown rice is good too. It comes with shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, and the large size is two nice pieces of well seasoned Churrasco. Yes I agree the pita is whatever they have there open, so it might not be fresh.
I also love the steak and Shrimp. It’s on your choice of Rice with ice burg lettuce, chopped tomatoes, 2 skewers of shrimp (heated in the microwave but tastes perfect), and a Churrasco Streak with choice of sauce.
Yumm I can eat this food every week! I strongly recommend to try it to go!
