Friday 3÷11÷2016 My dad’s friend told us about Sophie’s DiSalvo’s, which led us here to review the food. We ordered a 14″ Medium Buffalo Chicken Pizza for 14.99. The chicken tenders tossed with buffalo sauce was something straight out of T.G.I Fridays! We had a dozen Garlic rolls for 3.99 they were crispy and fluffy but a little bit oily. The special blend of cheese and buffalo sort of tasted like beefy Mac & Cheese! The food was spicy, especially cheesy. The waiter was attentive, did his job very well. It was nice and quiet during are visit. The restaurant has two rooms, it has plenty of room for customers. You can see the chef cooking the pizza from the side of the counter, which I thought was fascinating. I give DiSalvo’s Buffalo Chicken Pizza 3 out of 5 toppings. It’s a perfect dish for Buffalo lovers, sport lovers and meat lovers!

The food here was wonderful. Ordered the eggplant parmigian and it was fantastic. They serve everything in super large portions. When back in town I will definitely come back. My new favorite South Florida stops.

Sophie’s DiSalvos is almost the only place my husband will eat Italian food. Never disappointed with the service or food. My favorite waiter is Oscar.(Love him) Don’t confuse this location with the one in Emerald Hills. THISONEISBETTER!!!

Unless you want to be verbally assaulted by the male co-owner when he snaps at his customers, and your plate of food ripped away from in front of you, I suggest completely avoiding this restaurant. If you can stay away from interacting with the male co-owner, the food can be decent when properly prepared(which isn’t a guarantee, really). But it’s NOT worth the risk.

Not a happy camper! I have been to this location a few times and i can honestly say the chicken parmigiano is excellent. My daughter on the other hand order the fettuccine chicken alfredo and much to my surprise it was disgusting. The alfredo sauce was extremely oily and bland it was a disaster i have never ever seen or taste an alfredo sauce such as the one they serve us there. It was such a disappointing dinner experience that we have vow never to eat anything from this restaurant ever again even if its free.

Never coming here again! Every time I come(about once a month) the people are so rude! Today I called ahead for an order and asked what the how many slices for the smallest pizza and was told 6. Well that’s a personal pizza that should never be cut into 6. And 3 people definitely cannot eat from it. When I saw the box and asked if the pizza was right– the guy behind the counter was like«yeah that’s a 10 inch!» With such an attitude! I almost ordered another pizza. Instead I’m waiting in a McDonald’s drive thru bec I refuse ton continually support this place when every time I order there is always a nasty attitude. FYI you’re in the service industry!!! Provide some service!!! Instead the customer is misinformed(he wasn’t the one who answered the call and heard my questions) and they just make it seem like it’s my fault…

I am a regular here & called on a Saturday to have 2 slices delivered next door to me at the salon. Literally 2 stores down in the same plaza. The jerk that answered the phone claims they don’t do slices on the weekend. I asked since when? For over 3 months I have been ordering on a Saturday while I get my hair down & have never had a problem. The man who answered the phone claims they don’t do slices on a Saturday. So disalvos has lost my business. Way to go asshole!

This place changes ownership so much I thought I’d try again after my last horrible experience. Not sure if it has changed ownership since I was last here in Nov 2014. Still terrible. Given it’s FL and the rainy season, but it was stuffy like muggy inside restaurant. Not many tables seated, but still took hostess about 5min to acknowledge and seat us. Ordered pizza that was luke warm when served. Service was ok at best, and people in kitchen were loud and disruptive. Manager doesn’t seem to care as «they» sit in front behind counter in perfect view of all of this going on, but does nothing. Saw us waiting to be seated and instead of seating us called hostess to do so in which she took her time. Since this restaurant is in no rush to receive my business, I have officially given up on it no matter what management it is under.

Cheese pizza is good. Tonight we tried the caprese pizza that was absolutely awful too darn greasy oily entirely too much cheese the wrong kind of tomatoes instead of using Roma they use plain old tomatoes you can’t even pick it up you have to use a fork and a knife unfortunately I will not be eating this pizza again cuz it made my grandson sick

S As usual the food and the service were wonderful however I feel the new management could put a lot more effort into having there bathroom clean, I mean stinky and urin soaked floors under each urinal . If this is taken care of I would give them the 5th star Mr PP

I don’t know about the rest of the food but this place has one of the best calamari I’ve ever eaten. It’s hard to find good fresh calamari. By 7 it starts to get packed.

Use to love this place but there have been a few management changes over the past few years. The food isn’t as good as I remember it. The pizza was something to rave about but I guess when the original management left they took their recipes. Wait staff is pretty good though.

Years ago, my sister and I would have lunch at Disalvo and the food, no matter what we ordered was delicious and tasted authentically Italian. Recently I dine there and was appalled on how their food has changed for worse. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs had more breadcrumbs than meat and the spaghetti, kid you not tasted like chefboyardee. The tomato sauce was runny and had no seasoning. Needless to say, I won’t be going back there. I’m certain the restaurant has changed owners.

Not bad. Not spectacular. I came in on the spur of the moment today as I had absolutely no idea what I was going to have for lunch. I am getting sick of my usual protein options. An errand forced me to head in this direction, and when the place I was going to wasn’t open yet, I thought I would eat first then do my task. So I pulled into the plaza and saw the options and decided this would be my best bet. As much as I wanted to try the pizza, I knew that wouldn’t be a good idea for me as I need to eat as much protein as I am able before my monthly labs. So after looking at the menu for a couple minutes I had narrowed the options down to the Chicken Marsala or the Sausage and Peppers. I decided against the Marsala. As much as I have been craving that(especially when done right), I didn’t think this would turn out so well during lunch. Call it a hunch. I may go back so they can prove me wrong, but I went ahead and ordered the Sausage and Peppers. The thing I tend to forget is these places usually offer a salad or soup with the entrees. This place is no different. So, I ordered the minestrone because I was actually a little chilly. It was raining outside and they had the AC cranked up in the dining room, which didn’t help. The server brought the soup and that warmed me up, but I wasn’t thrilled with the flavor, or lack thereof. It wasn’t awful, but it made it easy to hold back and not fill up. The garlic rolls were loaded in the oil, which I like sometimes, but I will order the plain bread next time to go better with the soup. Next came the entrée. The sausage wasn’t bad, served on a bed of pasta with green peppers and tomato sauce. The food was served piping hot, which I really appreciate. It didn’t wow me, but over all it was decent. The thing that was awesome was the portion size. Wow, that was a lot of food. Hubby didn’t think I touched it because there was so much leftover. I gave it a good shot and really went after the sausage as that’s where the protein was, but I filled up fast. I asked for a to go box, and was barely able to fit the contents. I will say that the server was very friendly and professional. It was a nice quiet lunch. I did notice some folks dropping in for pick up orders, and I think they also had some deliveries. For the most part, I was the only one dining in, but I do typically eat earlier than the normal lunch rush because that’s how I roll!

It’s one thing to say the pizza here is good, it’s another argument altogether when this is the only place your mother-in-law will eat pizza and she makes the hour drive from Kendall… enough said? Don’t let the modest location fool you, the pizza here is phenomenal. Try the White Pizza, best I have had since I could remember. This is a family owned restaurant and therefore carries a lot of the small-business charm that so many of us have come to depend on and appreciate. Great place to bring the family and just tear up a pie or two. The service has been exceptional each time we have gone and despite our party changing in size on each visit, the staff was very accomodating and friendly. Not a fan of pizza? Try one of their pasta’s, I personally like the stuffed shells(white pizza, shells, I clearly love cheese!) and recommend this dish to all who come in for a bite. As a matter of fact, I am having lunch here with the family later today, so I have to run. Enjoy!

This is our favorite pizza place in Broward. We used to eat at Steve’s Pizza in North Miami and had a hard time finding good pizza when we moved a bit north. When we first ate here, it used to be affiliated with the other DiSalvo’s on Sheridan, but once it separated and changed owners the pizza improved 100%. Awesome pizza. Service is uusually good too and the couple who own the place are very nice.

This place is an absolute gem. Total hole-in-the-wall with some of the best Italian food in South Florida. Amazing chicken parmigiana, sausage and peppers, and garlic rolls(oh the garlic rolls…). It’s not much to look at, but that’s part of the experience. Also, the staff is extremely attentive and friendly.

Definitely going again! I ordered the lunch special, chicken fettucini Alfredo, and it was delicious! It comes in a big portion, four garlic rolls, and a side. Those Garlic Rolls! Separate bag for them and amazing. Would go back just for them. Pasta was also great and with plenty chicken, thinly sliced, all throughout the pasta. Enough for lunch and pre dinner(unless you have an appetite like myself). I highly recommend it. Would have to go back to give some feedback on their pizza.

Love the pizza… you should try it. it’s really good! I’m not fan of pasta but the taste is pretty authentic… owners are usually around to keep everything under control and I like how friendly they are… I’m gonna keep ordering for sure!
