Hotel Davenport and Conference Center

if I could give this 0 stars I would. the pictures on the website are beyond deceiving. the lobby is very nice and welcoming, but when you go into the actual hotel and look around it’s beyond nasty. there were dirty towels on a table for more than 12 hours. we got to our room and the floor was damp, the sink had a crack in it, there was a crusty white stain on the dresser, the tv was 15+ years old, you had to call front desk and ask for maintenance to come to your room and change the temperature, stains on the carpet, blood in the trash can, the room still had a strong cigarette smell, and one of the beds was broke. my mom and I were so exhausted from driving over 11 hours that we just decided to tough it out and stay. we woke up and went to get breakfast… all that included was bread and hard boiled eggs. if you are thinking about staying here ask to see your room before paying. we have learned our lesson, only going to go to national chain hotels from now on.

I am getting so tired of Hotel Davenport! We stayed there last weekend for my son’s birthday party. The kids seemed to have a good time while swimming and playing in the arcade, except the water constantly dripping on their head while playing air hockey (there were numerous ceiling tiles missing and buckets catching water). After we went back to the room, the boys started searching under beds. Needless to say, nasty! In my room, they only found candy wrappers. Not horrible. It was what they discovered in their room that really upset me. Two pair of little girl’s panties, a lace g-​string, a bag of candy, a cookie from Hardees and a lighter! I was livid! How do I know that the sheets were even changed!!!
Now, we are fighting with them to get the billing corrected. The package that we got was supposed to be $ 79 +tax. We got charged $ 108 each room. Plus, they supposedly were taking a little off due to the «inconvenience» of the dirty room.
I’m pretty sure we won’t be recommending them to anyone!

This is THE most disgusting hotel I’ve been to. I literally just checked in and I’m sitting on my phone trying to book a different room down the street. It looks fine when you walk in but when you get to the room it’s absolutely disgusting. Just look at the pictures I’ve added. I’m literally afraid to stay here. I’m out of here. Gross. Literally so disgusted and grossed out.

If you think this place is better than 2 stars than you don’t get out much. The only reason for two stars is that the staff is very nice, but they aren’t responsible for the giant piece of crap hotel that they work at. Everything is old and broken at this place. Years of leaky roofs and pipes, etc. has made this place grungy and moldy. The place had a fire while I was here and had to evacuate for a couple of hours. All I could think of was how can such a moldy place catch fire. They really should have let it continue to burn and just collect the insurance money. Spend the extra money and go to the newly built Holiday Inn and Suites.

This was a great hotel! It was perfect! Hotel was very clean and updated, the lobby was great. Check in was super quick. The room was clean, nice and the beds were super comfortable. Extremely quiet despite being in a busy area. My first time in Davenport, when I return this will definitely be my hotel of choice.

They’re trying hard to improve. Last stay was nice, but had a few kinks in the armor. This stay, my heat wasn’t working, and the manager came over and fixed it instantly. Good value for hotels in this area, clean and comfortable.

Stopped in for the night here while I was on the road. The Hotel and my room exceeded expectations. The room rate was economical and fit right in with my budget. My bed was like a cloud. I had the best night of sleep I’ve had in a long while here. I had everything I needed to be comfortable for the night and my room was sparkling clean. The property is pretty large but there are many access points in the building. And lastly there’s free breakfast with real bacon (not precooked bacon, not turkey bacon, not some cheap low grade microwave bacon) there is a person back there frying real strips of smoked pork belly… Good luck finding that at other hotels. I’m a very satisfied customer
