Excellent spot. Been there for years — they’re doing a lot right. Prices were fair /market for the same sneakers I had been looking into. Most importantly though, the sales rep was very helpful when I was just learning about stability shoes for running in. Had my stance assessed in seconds. and was spot-on. I’m able to put in more time running now, and greatly appreciate his help. Will stop back in for sure! AAA+++

I needed another pari of running shoes, all I had with me were minimal trail shoes. Stopped by to grab a pair. The lady that works here is rather rude and told me my best bet was to buy some on the internet. Really? Zero customer service. I didn’t need the exact shoe I asked for, I’m an experienced runner that rotates multiple pairs of shoes at one time. She was too busy talking over me to listen to anything I had to say. I was very happy to take my business elsewhere.

It breaks my heart that there’s only one review for Runner’s Roost, which is one of the best little running shoes and apparel shops I’ve been to, including shops in Boulder and San Diego, two of the country’s running and triathlon capitals. I suppose Unilocal is still primarily restaurant-, bar– and club-focused. In any event, the staff at Runner’s Roost are top-notch. They are friendly, laid back and very knowledgeable. After telling one sales woman my goals, conditions and idiosyncrasies, she recommended a specific pair of running shoes, which was the pair I left the store wearing less than ten minutes later.
