Overall 5⁄5 Quality 5⁄5 Service 5⁄5 Atmosphere 4⁄5 Nutshell: Clean and affordable with a fast turn around time :) Quality: Dry cleaned my tux shirt($ 7) and washed 3 dress shirts($ 2) for 15. Turn around was 3 days and received a text message! The shirts were cleaned and iron well :) Service: Person was fast and friendly. Was honest and told me what i need to dry clean and what I could get away with simple washing. Atmosphere: Small and kinda cramped. Seemed a bit dirty as trash was on the floor but overall still decent for a cleaning/alterations store.

Had some dress shirts cleaned here and they did a pretty good job. Got my shirts back in good timely fashion. Moderate price to ask for cleaning.

Did an absolutely beautiful job on 2 very dirty and stained jackets. They really cared for our clothes! Highly recommend!

I have to say, I would have given them 5 stars until my most recent cleaning. Now, they have lost my business. I dropped off my favorite brown wool sweater(gorgeous with a nice tall neck that unbuttons into a cozy cowell neck) and a new black suit dress that I needed for my law school job interviews. The sweater came back smelling like urine and chemicals, and fitting much more snugly than before. The dress seems to fit the same, but smells like cat piss and moth balls — even after a week of airing it out. I am still too angry to go in. I think I will scream at them. Honestly. It is wool! Nothing unusual for a professional dry cleaner to encounter. Whether I go in after I’ve calmed down or not, they have lost my business.

DONOTUSETHISCLEANER. I will never take my clothes to Village Cleaners again. I took my daughters prom dress in to be dry cleaned and altered. The dress had delicate flowers all over the outer layer, which was sheer silk, and I needed the outer layer and lining hemmed an inch. When I picked it up the day before prom, all of the flowers were balled up and the silk layer of the dress had shrunk 2 inches. They LAUNDERED the dress instead of dry cleaned. It was a MESS! The owner kept saying that it was not her fault and that I should call the dress company to get my money back. I told her I needed to be reimbursed for the dress and she just kept saying it was not her fault, to call the dress company because their fabric was bad. What? Then she said that this type of material can’t be cleaned and I shouldn’t have brought it in. Are you kidding? A good cleaner looks at what they’re cleaning and knows BEFORE they take it how it should be cared for!!! Seriously! She finally said that she wouldn’t pay me for the dress, but that I didn’t have to pay for the dry cleaning and alteration! How ridiculous! There are so many good options around town for dry cleaning. This place is NOT worth it!!! They don’t stand by their work and they don’t do quality work. DON’T USETHEM– find another place that knows what they’re doing.

I’ve been going to Village Cleaners for years(10+) and have always been satisfied with the quality of service. I normally bring in dry cleaning and have all of my pants hemmed here to achieve the right fit. Each time, the seamstress takes her time to measure the length correctly and makes sure that I am satisfied with the fit. They are also great with rush orders and I’ve had multiple occasions where I’ve needed items the next day and they always deliver.

I’ve been a customer for over a year bringing my clothes weekly and finally got fed up with the poor quality. Recently, I’ve had to return two blouses/sweaters to be re-cleaned. The last straw was a blouse I got back with a hole right over the breast area. The lady owner told me it was there when I dropped it off and she made a note of it on the customer slip. Of course, the note was not indicated on my copy of the customer slip and no phone call was ever made to let me know of the problem. If I had a hole over the breast area I would have known it!!! She was unwilling to take the blame or even waive the dry cleaning fee. The blouse is ruined. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I was a customer at Village Cleaners for 9, count them.9, years because it was close to my work and home. This summer I brought in three work blazers to be cleaned and after two weeks picked them up. After a week or so, I put one on and noticed that the cuff was still dirty and that there was a tag that said«Need more time.» Mind you, no one said a word to me in person when I picked the clothes up. This prompted me to check the other two blazers, and lo and behold, they both had the same tag reading, «Need more time.» Need more time for what!!! I don’t know because no one told me. When I called, I was told the manager was gone for the day and that she would call me back, which she never did. This was bad enough, but being desperate to have a formal dress cleaned in time for an annual benefit dinner with my company, I made the mistake of taking my new $ 250 dress to this place. When I picked it up a week later, the bodice was completely frayed. I had never even worn it prior to taking it to the cleaners. I demanded to speak with the owner, who of course wasn’t there. I asked for a number to contact the owner and was told she would contact me. She NEVER did! I called twice after that and continued to be told the same thing – the manager/owner wasn’t available and that I would receive a call. Needless to say, I will never patronize Village Cleaners again. With that kind of customer service(and I use that term loosely) given to a 9-year loyal customer, I’M DONE. Shame on Village Cleaners! If I had the money, I’d take legal action against them.

(this review should be considered in addition to my other one with their san ramon location…) our family has been using this dry cleaners for years, and personally i just recently started using them for alterations and small jobs. the dry cleaning is about what you would expect from anywhere else, but the service and personal touch is what really sets them apart. they treat their return customers very well, so if you’re looking for a long-term solution in the area… look no further!

Small drop off/pick up dry cleaning store located between Union Bank and Walgreens. I normally go to the main location in San Ramon where they have the dry cleaning machines, but this place is the place you go if you want to get your stuff sewed, hemmed, button replaced, etc — the seamstress is by far the best of the best.
