Amazing local place! The food is great, fresh! They have soups, sandwiches, baked goods, coffees, teas, hot chocolate. They sell local produce and honey. They sell lotions, soaps, local and they smell good. It is a comfortable place. I love it!

If this coffee shop weren’t in Danville… if it were closer to me I’d most likely be occupying it daily. It had great and informing service on the day that I went, and I highly recommend trying their fresh and house made flavors for the coffee and espresso drinks(or other). I normally am not one to add flavor but I found the vanilla bean to be highly refreshing and tasteful. I’ll be back, that is, if I ever have to return to Danville…

This was a gem of a find. A business partner invited me for coffee and I would never have suspected such a nice café in Danville. According to the story on the chalkboard, the café was started locally by a family that had gotten into local honey production and always dreamed of opening their own café. The café has an extensive array of locally produced goods including, of course, honey. I just had the Autumn Tea with Honey as I was not feeling so well that day. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and staff were friendly as well.

I just want to say that this place keeps getting better and better. My husband and I LOVE coming here any chance we get. We’ve samples each of their signature sweets & all of them are out of this world delish. The Honeybean Latte is always perfect. The staff know us(they are awesome!) and remember how we like our drinks. The pastries, both sweet & savory, are just rich & wonderful. In the mood for a wonderful sandwich? Stop in. It has everything we could ever want in a hometown café. :-)

Oh Beehive! I drive by this place nearly every weekend in the summer, and literally each time I have looked over to my husband and said«I really want to go there some time.» Well this weekend was the«some time» I had been waiting for. This place seems like it belongs in Indianapolis ratehr than tucked into a small building in Danville. I really loved the vibe I got walking in. It was rather early on a Sunday morning, and the staff greeted us with smiles and asked us if we had any questions about the menu. The only question I had was how fast can I get that cinnamon roll I’m eyeing into my belly. The Beehive has a great selection and is sure to please almost anyone. They have delicious pastires and baked goods for breakfast, made to order soup and andwiches, fro yo with assorted toppings, any coffee drink you can imagine and a little fresh produce mart. What’s not to love? All in all, I think I have found my new favorite pit stop while I’m driving along 36. Thank you to the friendly staff!

For Danville, IN, this little café is a Godsend. They have some great hot sandwiches, along with a decent variety of smoothies, salads, and sodas. A few comfy chairs and tables if you want to sit and read. Great place for doing homework or going to coffee with friends. Only downside was there was only one worker around 7:00, which I suppose is a late dinner for most people.

It’s beelicious. No seriously, you hive to go there. It’s all the buzz. Also, as a self-proclaimed coffee snob, I approve of the joe.

I went to the Bee Hive about a week ago. The Bee Hive is a cute little café in my hometown, Danville. It is a café aimed towards organic and natural food sales. It is very spacious and cozy. It has a fireplace, Wi-Fi, and lots of seating: couches and tables. I was greeted immediately after entering the Bee Hive, a young girl came out and helped me out with learning the menu and gave me a list of the guest favorites. I ordered the Nutella latte and a caramel brownie. I told her to only add one shot of espresso instead of two, seeing that I am not a fan of bitter taste. She made my Nutella latte and grabbed by brownie. She also heated the brownie up so it would taste fresh. I paid for my two items and was a little taken back by the price. The price was a little high but I didn’t mind because it was my first time. I took my items home and tried the brownie, it was a little too bitter and rich for my taste but the Nutella latte was very good, had a nice flavor. I would definitely go back again and try a different dessert. I had my eye on the Honey Pecan Bar. I liked the atmosphere of the café and I liked the staff. I was overall impressed and I can’t wait to try something new when I go back.

I am not a big fan of plastic plates and silverware in a restaurant. The food was extremely pricy and mediocre at best. It would probably be good for a coffee and a sweet treat but other than that– a total waste of money

Great small business with good food and excellent service. My favorite here are their soups, although their sandwiches are also very good. It also has locally grown, raised, and manufactured products. Of course many of these are honey related. They also have a large variety of baked sweets, which can be a real diet buster if you can’t exercise self control. My favorite is the caramel chocolate brownie, but it is rich enough that I have to share it or save some for later. The coffee is good, but their signature drink seems to be the Nutella Hot Chocolate, which is my 12 year old’ favorite!

Had a rather disappointing dinner here this evening. I ordered the veggie melt that was supposed to have spinach, artichoke, provolone, roasted tomato and herb aioli. What I got was a rather tasteless creation with very few ingredients on a big piece of bread with aioli. I opened the sandwich up and there was literally one small piece of artichoke on one half of the sandwich and maybe 2 – 3 small pieces on the other, no tomato that I could see at all and a few small spinach leaves. On a brighter note, the caramel chocolate brownie and coffee I ordered were good, but with limited vegetarian options, I had hoped the sandwich would be better.

A little on the expensive side, but definitely a necessary establishment. Natural foods and drinks that taste delicious. Although due to cost, it remains an occasional treat.

I hate Italian Wedding Ball soup, but the Beehive makes the most delectable and savory broth and the meatballs, forget-about-it. But seriously, this charming bakery, restaurant, coffee shop, and market are NOT to be missed. Especially on Thursdays, that’s Wedding Ball Soup day. :)

I don’t live in Danville, but stopped in with a friend when passing through and I loved it! I had the Nutella Latte and shared a honey shortbread cookie with my friend and both were awesome(and I am not an avid coffee drinker). The décor and overall feel is very fresh and clean, but not too sterile or corporate — it still has that hometown feel. I thought the prices were very reasonable for what was offered, too. I will definitely make a point to stop in whenever heading through on my way to Avon!

This is a great local joint in Danville. It’s like walking into a local Panera Bread where things are actually local and more homemade. All the ingredients are fresh and made right behind the counter. They have a delicious rotating soup of the day and amazing desserts. They also have rotating frozen yogurt and homemade savory hand pies. Oh, and to top it all off, they sell some local produce and grass-fed beef. The produce includes milk, eggs, tomatoes, etc. The also sell their own honey produced on a family farm owned by the same people. Knowing that I am supporting a local family and eating healthy food just makes me fell all warm inside :-)

Hand pies. Get your savory hand pies here. These baked, hand-sized pies are capital D Delicious! They have various pies filled with meats, vegetables, cheeses and sauces. My favorite so far is the mushroom, spinach, potato and feta hand pie. Rich and very filling. With all that said, they also serve freshly made salads, soups and sandwiches. Besides being a café, they’re also a market offering some fresh fruits & vegetables, gourmet food items, and a cold case with cheeses and salamis, etc. And, they’re a coffee/espresso & tea shop. And they have some baked sweets like cookies, bars and muffins. OH, and they have a soft-serve frozen yogurt with a toppings bar. Wow. The Beehive has a lot to offer. You should check ‘em out.
