The stars are based on my experience not the quality of the shoes. I have been in this store twice and both times I have been here I am never once greeted. The last time I was there, there was a guy and girl working and neither of them said a peep to me. So unprofessional. But that didn’t stop me from looking around and seeing if there was anything I liked. I felt the girls eyes on me the whole time I was looking around. Like I was going to steal one shoe. I hate that. I asked to try on a show size, and the minute I asked she was friendly. I ended up not buying anything not only because the shoe didn’t fit the way I wanted it to, but I felt like Julia Roberts on Pretty Woman. Just the way I was stared at and non existent in the workers eyes. It’s sad. They do have really cute shoes tho. Not sure if I will go back a third time to be ignored, yet again.

This shoe place is amazing. Excellent customer service by a young man named Joey. Excellent manners and the woman he was working with really knew her stuff when it came to shoes. Great business in the plaza!

Well, my kid called me out on my previous review and asked, «Dad, didn’t you buy a pair of Pumas at that shop you gave a two star review in Blackhawk?» Ouch. My initial review was on a quick first impression(I guess I wasn’t that impressed?) I’ve been back a few times and yes, I’ve even purchased shoes. Gotta come clean, re-write my review and hand out a few more stars… 4 stars Fun shoes Nice shop Friendly staff

One of the best shoe places I’ve been to. They always have a great selection of shoes. Varieties for all sorts of different styles. Great prices as well. Their is one staff member in particular who is amazing. Candace so go visit her if you have ANY shoe related questions. She is passionate about her job and will not steer you the wrong way. Lastly the Stance socks collection is the best!!! Buy a pair you WONT regret it :)

I’m not an expert on shoe stores, but I will say the staff(and selection) at Shoebiz was excellent. I was buying a gift for my daughter’s birthday and the sales people were nice, patient and extremely helpful. I ended up buying three pairs of shoes total including some very sharp topsiders for myself. I will gladly recommend to family and friends that they visit Shoebiz and I will be back soon.

Shoebiz is a great shoe store, but with one problem — their return policy. The store is very well merchandised and it’s clear that their buyers keep up with current trends. They have a decent selection of sizes, though I do think that Nordstrom wins with both sizes and selection. Where Nordstrom really kicks their butt is with their return policy. First, I should say that it’s clearly posted that returns are for store credit only. That’s fine on another planet where service doesn’t matter. I can wear a pair of shoes for a year, notice that they’re coming apart and take them back to Nordstrom. Buy that same pair at ShoeBiz, decide to exchange them an hour later, and you’ll only get store credit for the difference in price. Did I mention that I have to wait a week to have my new shoes shipped from their SF store and they won’t send directly to my house? So, now I’ve got to carry around a receipt and a gift card while I wait for my new shoes to come… a week from now. Shoebiz does a lot of things right, but their return policy is not one of them. I’ll have a very difficult time buying shoes there in the future when Nordstrom offers more shoes and sizes at a better price and with a liberal return policy.

A few months ago, my girlfriends and I rolled in here after a not so great dining night at the Prickly Pear. I guess we walked into their own private employee party, but we didn’t know it until they started offering us pizza, deserts, and wine. We were treated here better than we were at the Prickly Pear(better served at a shoe store versus a Rodney Worth restaurant… go figure). The store, people, and overall shoes here are so smooth that one of my girlfriends ended up purchasing some shoes. They could have been all snooty and mean to us for crashing their own private party, but the manager and employees there were classy all the way. Five stars all around! A few employees walked up to us to hand us different shoes to try on even though they could have gotten their talk, drink, and eat on with each other and just as well have ignored us like the waitstaff at the Prickly Pear. So kudos to the Shoebiz in Blackhawk… really classy folks who know how to sell some good, comfortable, and fashionably hip shoes. They carry some nice brands, got that woodsy rustic vibe décor, and basically they got some shoe game going on. They know how to work it. They have a nice selection of boots, casual shoes, sandals, etc. Thank you very much to the gentleman who kept pouring me wine like it was water. It made me want to not leave that store. It’s a rarity to get a moment to hang, chat, dine, and shop with your girlfriends in such a relaxed atmosphere where you don’t feel rushed. These people are super duper nice… a rarity at this upscale snooty Blackhawk Plaza. We noticed a few other people had made the same mistake as we did, and walked into the store as well. However, the employees and manager never shooed them away, but instead they treated them just as smooth as they treated us. The employees and manager work that store like nobody’s business. So Ed Bundy got nothing on these people. I felt like a V.I.P. here so I’ll be dropping by here for some fashionable shoes in the future. Thanks Shoebiz for such a chill night.

Good selection of shoes for toddlers: Toms, Converse, Vans, etc. They don’t always have all sizes, but that doesn’t happen too much. I believe prices are the same, beats going to the mall plus I like supporting the shops at the plaza as much as I can vs a department store.

I’ve gone in a few times and love their selection. I wouldn’t agree this store is just for teenagers. Their selection is fashionable for all ages with a great selection of budget friendly and high end shoes. Glad that Blackhawk Plaza is broadening their target market to provide a store for all ages and budgets.

I came in with my boyfriend and his family at 8pm on a Saturday night. Granted, we were the only people in the store, but were greeted promptly and were helped right away. The two sales people, a gentleman and a young girl, helped all of us(there were 5 of us) and were both very helpful and knowledgeable. My boyfriend ended up buying a pair of shoes and his step mom did as well. Their shoe selection is great, however they need to carry larger sizes. They do not carry shoes over a size 10, which is too bad because I would love to buy some shoes from them! Overall a great experience and although I will not be returning to buy shoes, I am positive my boyfriend and his family will!

Despite one negative review of this place I really like this shoe shop. I went in for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised by a great selection of shoes, and a lot of nice comfy shoes(which I really LOVE) that are also fashion forward! They even had a sale section for some sandals. I loved the selection of shoes. As soon as my daughters and I walked in we were greeted by very friendly sales associate girls who offered their help. They even had a little kid area where my girls could color at a table and watch tv while I tried on shoes! Very good idea! I found the prices of this store not to be over the top expensive and reasonable given the quality of the shoes they offer! The sales girl even helped me decide which shoes to buy for an upcoming friends wedding. Comfy, cute, versatile… SCORE! I will be back ShoeBiz! And can’t beat the fact that’s its only 5 minutes from my house so it beats a trek to the mall or broadway plaza to get shoes!

I am not really sure what the other reviewer is talking about. I had a completely different experience. all of the shoes were affordable and hip maybe they have renovated it is absolutely gorgeous inside hundred fifty year old wood planks all the shoes displayed on wood architecture the ambiance alone is beautiful just a walk through and see all the details I got myself a pair of $ 70 wedge thom totally worth it same price I would pay Macy’s and I had a great experience with one of the owners and it’s so close to home. finally a store in Blackhawk Plaza! :)
